A great and interesting way to get some history

by Ryan H. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 719

I did this on Halloween and had a great time. You just have to be careful which guide you get--one of them seems to just recite his stories without any kind of care for theatrics, which others really get into the part. It's not a hard walk, and will show you the major sites of Philadelphia as well as tell some spooky stories behind them. Great for kids or tourists who'd like to know a little more about the city.

Fun and a bit spooky

by LeeAnne M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,051

This tour is perfect for kids, tourists or anyone who likes a good ghost story! My boyfriend and I went on Halloween this year (2008) and had a fun time. Our guide's name was Ryan and he was the best. We were put into a group with a different guide but quickly moved to Ryan's group after seeing how great he was at telling a story. The walk around the city is easy but they go to some interesting places. I think everyone could learn something from this and it's not too scary for little kids.
