The Hawks Nest Bar & Grill started out as a simple question: Where do you watch Seahawks away games? During away games, the experience is lacking whether you're watching a game alone or surrounded by people who don't care about it as much as you do. This desire for a "home away from Qwest" lead owners Joe and Rachel on a search for a Seahawks bar in Seattle. The result: Restaurants with TV's in the corners, ESPN on mute and hangouts where it felt awkward to stand up and cheer or cry foul. Firmly believing that the 12th man deserves a place to root for their team in a sports bar, The Hawks Nest Bar & Grill was born. Since then, The Hawks Nest Bar & Grill has become more than a Seahawks hangout. Home or away, this is now home to many who support Seahawks, Mariners, Sounders and more!

I have been here a couple times before Mariner games in Seattle. They have great drink specials and pretty good food if you like sushi. Great appetizers too.

I foind this place kinda by accident. It used to be the sushi place that had game day specials. A shot and a beer for $7. The hawks nest still honors this deal!

Great Atmosphere, drinks, service
by wallners
Stopped by before the Mariner's game on 5/15/09. The place was packed, but just enough room to sneak in for a beer and lemonade for my daughter. Service was prompt and courteous. Looking forward to bringing the whole family back for lunch and/or dinner.

Good priced, high quality food. Great drop shots.

I don't know what the other guy is talking about - there is NO sushi at the Hawks Nest. They do, however have really good food that is way cheaper than any other place around there. There's a bunch of beers on tap as well as buckets of beers for a decent price. Good atmosphere with lots of big screens and and outdoor seating.
Pros: Hawks Nest Burger, wings, microbrews

Bright, airy atmosphere, great menu, great customer service

A good friend of mind and myself went to the "Hawksnest" for lunch one Saturday afternoon and found it to be a very enjoyable establishment. Even if you're not a huge sports fan, I would suggest trying it out for the great menu and excellent customer service. I had a steak and bleu cheese salad that was to die for, and my friend had fish and sweet potato fries (which, by the way, are very tasty) I'm not much of a french fry fan, but the sweet potato fries I could eat all day! The bar is beautifully done, with hardwood floors and a bright open feel.
To anyone, sports fan or not, I would suggest a visit to the "Hawksnest", I'm sure you won't regret it!
Pros: Great food, Good service, relaxed atmosphere, outdoor seating, friendly staff and owners

Great drinks, food & service!

I've been here three times now and have loved it every time! I wouldn't consider myself the biggest sports fan, but I don't think you have to be to have fun at the Hawks Nest. I was here for the Seahawks season opener and had a really good breakfast, the crowd was a lot of fun and the servers were very attentive. I've also had lunch and dinner on other occasions and would highly recommend the bleu cheese steak salad, and you can't leave without trying the sweet potato fries with basil aioli. The food is more upscale than what you would normally consider bar food, but the prices are very reasonable, but of course they also have some of your more standard bar fare.
For those of you who are sports fans there are 7 HD TVs so you have a great view no matter where you sit, lots of fun Seahawks and Mariners fans, as well as an outdoor sidewalk seating area which was a great place for some good people watching.
Pros: Fun for sports fans and non fans alike
Cons: Parking can be a challenge on game days

It may be a sports bar... but only if you are solely interested in SEATTLE sports teams
by RoniK
We're from out of town visiting a relative having surgery at Swedish Hospital. We were told about this bar by someone who just started working there when we were inquiring about where we could go to catch some football games, with the comment that they have 7 HD TVs. Unfortunately, he didn't say, and we didn't even think it would be possible that a true sports bar would really show the SAME game on every single TV. To their credit, we found another bar down the street and they had the same thing going on. Fortunately the parking dude was nice enough to give us back the $20 we paid to park next to the bar and we headed back to the hotel and watched the game on TV. The game we wanted to watch wasn't on TV, which was why we were looking for a "sports bar", so we went back to our hotel and watched the game on TV (and found ourselves actually rooting against Seattle). I really can't rate the actual "bar" - but I did read the reviews before we drove all the way down there, so just in case someone else is in the same situation.... you've now been warned.

Great location before or after Mariner's games too.

I'm probably going to regret announcing how great this place is before M's games, but oh well. It's only a half block from Safeco. It beats Pyramid brew prices by a longshot. If you still want to be outside before the game, they have a little area out front with tables and chairs. It is clean and the staff are really friendly.
The food is good. I personally would label it fancy pub grub because they serve burgers etc. but put more thought and flavor into the food.
My favorite part is the owners are true Seattle fans, unlike places such as the J&M where they will claim to be part of the Red Sox nation when they're in town, but still claim to be Seahawks supporters come football season.
Pros: Good prices, clean, friendly, great location for Safeco and Qwest events
Cons: About the only thing I can think of is it is kind of small, so it could probably get crowded fast
