WORST service ever. Do not use this florist. I have ordered flowers for years and and always had wonderful service. Decided to try this florist and they did not deliver service wise or product wise. Delivered a day late even after I paid for next day service. The flowers and balloons ordered were not what was delivered. When I called customer service, I was not pleased and let them know that, I asked to speak with a manager and they ended hanging up on me. I had to call my bank and have them put a hold on the funds.NEVER, NEVER use this business unless you want to get ripped off!

Whatever you do, do not use these criminals! I ordered flowers for mother's day to be delivered on Saturday before so my wheelchair bound mom could enjoy them longer. Not only did they not make it there on Saturday, they didn't make it on Sunday. They were stored on a hot truck for FOUR DAYS and were finally delivered on Tuesday. They were half dead and I paid extra for that? The delivery fees were quite a lot more than others but they assured me they would be there on Saturday. When I called each day, I was told they were out for delivery. They would not make it right and they told me that their website has some small print that tells me they do not guarantee delivery by any certain date. Really? I'm so disgusted I could just spit! I will never use this company for anything and if you want good customer service I suggest you do not either.

Order placed online for flowers for my gf for Mother's Day May 6th to be delivered May 8th before 4pm because she was leaving work at 4:30 for a week's worth of vacation and would not be there after that. They did not deliver it by 4pm, I called at 4:30pm and they said they would deliver them to our home by 7pm that night which they never did, this morning between my gf and I we spent over 2 hours on the phone with them trying to get a refund for the non delivered item to which they offered a 50% refund for an item we never got. They said oh they'll be delivered today to my gf work address which we clearly told them several times that she was no longer at work and would not be for a week. They said their only option was at most a 50% refund which was "being generous" and since they did not guarantee delivery times for orders placed even though they require you to pay more money for every hour earlier in the day you select the deliver time. They already screwed up twice on delivery and disconnected our calls saying they didn't have to do anything for us because we already paid for the service we were not taking the chance with them screwing it up again. They disconnected the call again and refused to refund any money for an item that was not delivered to its personal destination. Avas Flowers is terrible.

I ordered flowers for my wife, who was in the Chapel Hill, NC area for business. I ordered them on Saturday for a Sunday delivery, as was available on the Avas Flowers website. I paid for the arrangement and delivery. Then, I received an email on Sunday that said they were unable to deliver the arrangement on Sunday, due to the flowers not being available. After being hung up on once, I finally got through to speak to their customer service. I was told they had NO FLOWERS instock. They said there was absolutely nothing they could do to get the flowers to my wife on Sunday, even though the website guaranteed Sunday deliver, and I PAID for it. They did offer the deliver the flowers first thing Monday morning, but that was not what I had ordered. They again told me that they had NO flowers at all in the shop to deliver. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was originally told that there was no manager available, but was eventually connected to a manager (after a very long hold). They told me that the floral shop was locally owned, but the owner was not available and they had no idea when he would be available. I asked if they had anything they could deliver today, Sunday, and I was told that they had absolutely NOTHING.
We are not from the area. I tried to find a local shop to support the local economy. But, DO NOT shop here!!! I am not sure what type of scam they are running, but it is not a customer service friendly floral service!! They ended up refunding my money, but, no flowers. I would not trust this shady business habits with anything that mattered. If they cant even follow through with a guaranteed delivery date, what else would they not be able to do?

My whole experience with Ava's flowers has been horrible. Even the invoice of the flowers ordered is incorrect. The flowers arrived 2 days late to the address in Anaheim, this was even after e-mailing and calling them from the UK to see what was going on. They lied and said the florist had poor flowers and couldn't deliver on time. They tried to get me to keep the order and assured me it would be there in the early morning and would be like the boquet ordered. I clarified that no Lillies were to be included (recipient allergic), the original boquet that had been ordered had no lillies at all. The subsequent boquet that was delivered in the end, not containing anything like the orginal and left at the door was filled with massive lillies and looked worse for wear, being delivered from San Diego. The discrepencies in what you receive with them are a laughable--if you hadn't paid joke--and not even remotely in any way close (or of a normal substitute). Avoid Ava's flowers at all costs!

Avas Flowers deserves absolutely no stars. I ordered a $60 bouquet with pink snap dragons, lt pink roses, purple accents and small white daisies. There was suppose to be a white bear, (re: Bear Hug Bouquet shown on their site). What got delivered were bright pink and purple daisies and no bear. Called for a refund which they refused to do. They were then suppose to correct and redeliver order. Low and behold, they delivered the exact same wrong order as before with the bear attached and two red roses added. Called again, was suppose redeliver for the third time, the correct bouquet. Never got delivered. I contacted them again and all they do is hang up on me. Be careful ordereing from this establishment. They do not stand behind their errors and will substitute with less expensive flowers for a bigger profit. They told me the pink and purple daisies were an acceptable substitution for snap dragons and roses. WOW! They told me the photos on their site have nothing to do with what will actually be delivered. That under the photo of the Bear Hug Bouquet it stated pink and purple flowers, so with that description they can use any pink and purple flowers they want and the bouquet doesn't ever have to resemble the photos. All I can say is it's a good thing I had my granddaughter send me pic via her phone of what she got compared to what she should have received or I would have never known I paid $60 for a $15 bouquet.

This is not a florist. This is a scam that is not a local florist. They only have a customer service center where the employees know little about flowers. They take your order, spank you with a service change and then call it out to a local florist. The really low cost items they put in a box and Fed-Ex it to the recip next day. The quality is poor and most of the money goes in their pocket. This is the worst way to order flowers for delivery. The best way to delivery flowers is to Google a local florist in the appropriate town. They are always service oriented and stand behind their product

If I could not give them a star I would. Scenario: Ordered Flowers at 11AM for Same Day Delivery by 4PM. No delivery, I call and the guy says the will be redelivered next morning with an upgrade. Great sounds good except on the next day THAT AFTERNOON, when the flowers finally arrive, they were dead. Not exactly what I asked nor paid for. I write an email saying I want a refund because she will be on her way home by the time they can redeliver to her where she is. They absolutely refused to give a refund, kept trying to push store credit that I would never use because I can get fresh local flowers here, it was a long distance gift. But apparently I did not understand the process because the made an attempt at delivery they can't give a refund. Well, I don't remember ordering dead flowers so that is "paid for service that was not provided. Apparently they don't get it and said I can dispute it with my Credit Card Company since they made a delivery attempt. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE, I would rather use another commercial flower company than these people ever again. Oh, and yes I will be disputing it with the credit card company. I gave the Customer Service person a chance to keep my business, they refused. This is the result.

Just submitted a claim to the BBB. Consider yourself lucky if you even got your flowers delivered. The only thing they did right was charge my credit card already for service not performed. Had to get my credit card company to reverse charge. Net Result - the caring sentiment I wanted to send to my cousin - she will never know because I trusted an FTD afilliated company that passes as "family owned" and in business since 1977. They rake in money from their scam on innocent consumers with no consequence. If you fell prey - report to the BBB, don't waste any more of your time being on hold, being hung up on, sending emails or believe one person who says they will send out for "redelivery" they are laughing all the way to the bank from people who don't bother to warn others. Put them out of business and let the honest florists thrive.

I am so upset with this company!
The flowers I ordered were for a funeral. The last thing you want to worry about as that the family of the departed is crappy flowers. I was really disappointed by the quality of the arrangements that we spent over $300 on. They did not appear similar to the ones ordered online. Most of the flowers were in bud form! Now, If you are sending someone a vase of flowers to sit on their desk for a week, I can understand why you wouldn't want them to die the next day. However, the funeral was the next day after I had them delivered. the lilies weren't open! It looked horrible! Also, they were supposed to have banners on them. Not only were the "banners" actually just cheap white ribbon with stick on (and peeling) letters, but one was actually COMPLETELY MISSING! Each banner was $10. I sent in a complaint about the missing banner and I got an e-mail back about how important their customer's satisfaction is. It said I would be contacted right away. Well, I wasn't. After waiting almost a week, I contacted them again to ask what was going on. NO REPLY. Now it has been 2 weeks. I called this time and was told that someone left me a voicemail. LIE. I do not have any such voicemail. Also, I was told that instead of the money being refunded, I was given compensation in the form of "points" on my avasflowers account. LIE. Not only would this have been unacceptable due to the fact that I never intend to use this company again, but it is also unacceptable because it just isn't true! I checked my point balance following the phone call and guess what? My points reflect only the points I earned for my order. I am furious with the amount of money and time I wasted with this company. I've never had a problem with 1-800-flowers or ftd. I will be sticking with them in the future. This company is awful. They don't care about their product or their customer.

A very dear, very close friend passed away recently. Her sister, another very good friend of mine, lives in New Hampshire. I was recommended Avas Flowers by someone as they told me they were affiliated with FTD somehow. I thought "ok", and always like to go to a local florist to support local business. Well, according to a website link that I found, it sure *looked* like they were local since they mentioned they deliver to NH, and they talked about the New Hampshire flowers, etc. Well, after doing some research, I believe this is the company (in New York). Well, here's my experience with them...

The flowers were delivered next day DEAD! AYFKM??? What kind of florist sends dead flowers, especially to someone who just lost a family member??? What...did the florist figure I wasn't going to see them, so let's get rid of our older stock and send dead flowers to someone who's grieving????

I called them up and they said "Well, you can't get the lilies you ordered over there until tomorrow so perhaps we can order something else instead". And I said, "No, how about you send something nice over there today and then follow up and send her a nice batch of lilies like I wanted in the first place tomorrow?" Hey, guess what? Nothing was sent later that day. Nothing was sent the next day. No order was even placed. And who the hell originally sends DEAD flowers in the first place?????

It also put the recipient in an awkward position as she wasn't sure if she should say something or not because she thought the gesture was kind...but she just hated to see my money wasted, and that wasn't cool, either...the last thing one should have to worry about when they just lost a close family member.

Then these guys had the balls to send me a "sorry for your inconvenience e-mail after all of this. Well, I wrote back - their words are in quotes, the rest if my response to them:

I'm also going to tell them about all the complaints I've found out about you online - seems there's a lot of them. Boy, am I sorry I didn't find out about those sooner, or else I wouldn't have put myself through the experience of dealing with people like you.

Then, I'm going to report you to the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint there.

Then, I'm going to go on every single consumer website I can find, and copy and paste my story to all of those sites.

Then, I'll tell all my friends and mention you by name, and I'm sure when they have friends who want to order flowers they will not recommend Avas Flowers to them.

Personally, I hope all this creates a ripple where you lose a lot of money out of the pocketbook. As far as I'm concerned...GOOD.

Sorry for the rant, but NOTHING makes my blood boil more than crappy customer service. I'm actually having a ball ripping these guys to shreds. Screw them. They deserve every single bad thing they get.

A very dear, very close friend passed away recently. Her sister, another very good friend of mine, lives in New Hampshire. I was recommended Avas Flowers by someone as they told me they were affiliated with FTD somehow. I thought "ok", and always like to go to a local florist to support local business. Well, according to a website link that I found, it sure *looked* like they were local since they mentioned they deliver to NH, and they talked about the New Hampshire flowers, etc. Well, after doing some research, I believe this is the company (in New York). Well, here's my experience with them...

The flowers were delivered next day DEAD! AYFKM??? What kind of florist sends dead flowers, especially to someone who just lost a family member??? What...did the florist figure I wasn't going to see them, so let's get rid of our older stock and send dead flowers to someone who's grieving????

I called them up and they said "Well, you can't get the lilies you ordered over there until tomorrow so perhaps we can order something else instead". And I said, "No, how about you send something nice over there today and then follow up and send her a nice batch of lilies like I wanted in the first place tomorrow?" Hey, guess what? Nothing was sent later that day. Nothing was sent the next day. No order was even placed. And who the hell originally sends DEAD flowers in the first place?????

It also put the recipient in an awkward position as she wasn't sure if she should say something or not because she thought the gesture was kind...but she just hated to see my money wasted, and that wasn't cool, either...the last thing one should have to worry about when they just lost a close family member.

Then these guys had the balls to send me a "sorry for your inconvenience e-mail after all of this. Well, I wrote back - their words are in quotes, the rest if my response to them:

You're associated with FTD, right? Well, I'm going to call them up and tell them the whole damn story about what happened to me and encourage them to drop you. I'm also going to tell them about all the complaints I've found out about you online - seems there's a lot of them. Boy, am I sorry I didn't find out about those sooner, or else I wouldn't have put myself through the experience of dealing with people like you.

Then, I'm going to report you to the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint there.

Then, I'm going to go on every single consumer website I can find, and copy and paste my story to all of those sites.

Then, I'll tell all my friends and mention you by name, and I'm sure when they have friends who want to order flowers they will not recommend Avas Flowers to them.

Personally, I hope all this creates a ripple where you lose a lot of money out of the pocketbook. As far as I'm concerned...GOOD.

I hope the owner of this business reads this message. I just had a nightmare trying to get a delivery made by their Claremont, NH location. I placed the order on Aug 22 for a delivery on the 25th. On the 23rd, I got an email stating that my order had been handled and delivered on the 25th (2 days in the future!) at 12am. I emailed asking what was going on and received back "sorry, we have it set for a 25th delivery. The 26th arrives and I received email from the recipient of the flowers without a mention of the delivery. When I emailed Ava's, they sent back "sorry, it will be delivered today". This is now 2 days late! I called the business and was told the delivery would be made today and finally was able to get a supervisor on the line. She did not appear concerned about the many mistakes that had been made on this one order and just said the delivery would be made. When I asked for the owner of the business, this supervisor stated that it would not be possible and eventually stated she never saw the owner and when I asked for a call back from the owner, she informed me she could not promise that since she had no contact with him. I kept pressing to speak to someone she answers to only to have her hang up on me. When I called back, this supervisor told me that I had hung up on HER after calling her an "F ing B", which I never had! I never used ANY foul language with her. She hung up on me again and I called back again. A male answered the phone, "This is David, please hold." This same male came back on the line and stated he was the owner. When I asked what his last name was, he stated "Ava". I don't believe this was the owner. But, David at one point told me it was his job to listen to customers rant! He never seemed concerned about what happend between my order and the supervisor's behavior. I even stated that I had already paid for the flower delivery and that if I had not checked back on fhe delivery (that had never been made), that company would have actually defrauded me since they never delivered the goods. I told him I wanted a refund and would order elsewhere. I encourage everyone to think twice about using this company since with as many mistakes that were made on my order and the treatment they give their customers, think how many other people are being treated the same. I am happy with product and delivery. After I finalized the order, I realized that I had not applied a coupon. So I called (877) 638-3303 to have the coupon applied. I was given then the option of an upgrade or canceling the order and entering a new one. The staff member was quite helpful and stated that the order was cancelled. I then entered my order in again, remembering to apply the coupon. The flowers arrived as promised & I am told that they are beautiful. Their attention to this matter was greatly appreciated.v

The flowers that I ordered from Avas Flowers were delivered and were beautiful! Very efficient considering we were ordering from South Africa to the United States. Great that we could share in the celebration on the birth of our nephew/grandchild, even from far, through flowers!

The staff misrepresented the company as a local florist who would hand deliver the flowers to my mother already put together, as I NEVER EVER will order through FTD, 1-800 Flowers, etc... I think it is a generic impersonal way to send flowers to someone and I specifically went on their site and was told they were a local florist that delivered in a van, and even on their website it says we hand deliver!! I made sure to ask this again when I spoke to their agents on the phone and they assured me that it would be hand delivered and already arranged in the vase. And speaking of vase, I could buy that thing for 1 dollar at the dollar tree store! Doesn??t even look like the one presented on their website, with the Sweet Devotion flowers I actually ordered, and they gave me flowers which look like what was thrown out in the dumpster in an attempt to fulfill your orders and rush them out. Who wants to put their own arrangements together, neither I nor any of my family are florists therefore why would anyone expect to send flowers and I have one put together. ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!

They treated me terrible, kept promising me that it would be delivered on the scheduled day did not deliver until the next afternoon and Shea hung up on me on my last attempt to resolve this issue. They were suppose to upgrade the arrangement for the trouble, but it was not. The customer service was unacceptable. DO NOT USE THEM!

If only I had read the reviews before using this company. They clearly state on their website same day delivery and they have no problem taking your money but they do have a problem letting you know that the places they use in your area don't deliver on Sundays.

BEWARE!!! DO NOT order flowers from Ava's Flowers. They have not delivered the flowers that I ordered online and are giving me the run around when I ask for refund. I have spoke with 3 different customer service representatives and all say they will look into and call me back, have not received one call back. They are a SCAM!

Please do not use this florist. They are unreliable, not trust worthy, and expensive. I recently used Avas Flowers to deliver an arrangement for a funeral service I could not attend. Avas promised they would deliver the arrangement in time for the funeral service as I was not able to attend and wanted the family to understand I was thinking of them.
When I called Avas to follow up on the deliver they informed me they had delivered them on time. This was not true. The arrangement was delivered late. The family ultimately had to go back the funeral home to pick up the flowers putting additional burden on the family in a difficult time.
As a follow up, Avas refused to take responsibility for the late delivery, and told me they would "look into" the issue and respond. They never did. They are willing to take payment for a service which they failed to deliver.
When you run a business, it is important that you deliver the service you agreed to do. If you cannot deliver, then you should take ownership of your failure to do so.

If you have an important event you need to send flowers for, look else where, Ava's only wants your money one time. Return customers not wanted!

These people must be crazy: Ava's always delivers my flowers right when they say they will! I use them for birthdays, anniversaries, everything- and the flowers are always perfect. Picture perfect. They almost look fake they are so perfect. And they last so long you'd think they are fake too haha. But seriously, I have never ever had a problem with Ava's, and the face of my wife literally lights up the room when she sees the flowers I get her from Ava's. Usually, if I go to some other place, she's like, " Oooo, nice honey". But when I get Ava's, she's smiling from ear to ear, her eyes light up, and she says " OH MY GOSH! LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL!" etc. You can def. tell the difference in quality that Ava's has- way way above the rest.

I have ordered from Ava's probably 100 times, and EVERY TIME they are FANTASTIC!!! The flowers are always the most beautiful arrangements, and they last FOREVER!!! I always get roses for my wife and Mom- and they last AT LEAST 3x's longer than any other flowers, and they smell great! The are always delivered on time, so I don't know what some of these other people are talking about-"Do not order from them" etc. because they are always great for me! I ALWAYS recommend Ava's to my friends/co-workers/family and it always works out fine for them!

DO NOT order from Avas Flowers. I ordered flowers for my mother for Mother's day back in April so that I was certain the flowers would arrive on 5/7. The flowers did not arrive as scheduled on 5/7. I called 3x's on 5/7 (their customer service line goes directly to a call center not in the US) and I had to give them all of my information every single time (they couldn't look up my order with a confirmation code) and every time I called they said I'd get a call back. I sent an email detailing my issue on Sunday, 5/8 after her flowers still hadn't arrived. On Monday 5/9 she still didn't have flowers; I had no response from Avas Flowers- so I sent a 2nd email threatening legal action for them making fraudulent charges to my credit card b/c services were not rendered. No response. Called my bank-they are disputing the charges (submitted my email documentation)---I'm not getting charged (THANK YOU to my bank!). Got a call on Tuesday afternoon from Avas (they must not like it when you threaten legal action) offering to give my mom a bigger bouquet. I wanted to give them the finger. It's one thing to mess with me---but don't screw up my mom's Mother's day! I told them I made a mistake ordering from them & my mom will be getting a beautiful bouquet from the florist I called this morning. ;0)

DO NOT USE. They are unbelievably bad. They didn't send my gift out on the birthday date I had pre-ordered several days before. They could have sent it on a later truck but didn't want to send it out with the extra expense. So nothing arrived on my sister's birthday. The next day they said they'd deliver the basket with extra flowers and replace the balloon I ordered with chocolates. They just delivered the basket. The next day I called and asked about the chocolates and they said they would just refund my money. SO unbelievably ridiculous.

The problem is that they create scam websites that advertise that they are in local places where they really aren't located. They are just a call center that contracts out to local florists and can't seem to get their orders straight. Wish I'd done a background check before I used them.

The problem is that they create scam websites that advertise that they are in local places where they really aren't located. They are just a call center that contracts out to local florists and can't seem to get their orders straight. Wish I'd done a background check before I used them.

I wish I would have seen all of these reviews before using them. I also thought they were a local florist because I've had problems in the past with nationwide florists. Unfortunately they just confirmed to me the same experience I've had in the past.

I placed my order for the Garden of Grace to be delivered on Saturday for my mom's birthday. I received an email confirmation that they were delivered. They weren't delivered. I called and complained and they said someone would call me back. No one did. I sent an email complaining about it and all they wrote back was saying they delivered it. I called another time and complained. Finally someone called me back and found out when they couldn't deliver it to my parents because they weren't home, they got a different phone number from who knows where. They called this random lady who said she knew my mom and me so the driver went 15 miles and gave it to her. Yeah, smart. So she was putting through a rush to get my mom the plants/flowers she should have had. 5 days later, I call to complain because she STILL doesn't have anything. They said it was out for delivery. My mom tells me she gets a basket of crushed plants (no flowers). I then call back to complain since it's 5 days late and not even what I ordered. Have to wait until tomorrow to see if I can get a partial or full refund back.

Worst experience ever! Do not consider using!

This is for the Avas Flowers in Bath, NY. I ordered a flower arrangement for a funeral, the death of my best friends mother. I ordered the Deluxe arrangement. At the time of my order I asked if they would be delivered that same day and was told yes. I ordered on a Saturday and on Tuesday my friend told me they never received any flowers. I was furious, I even gave them my phone number and Avas didn't even have the courtesy to call me and tell me anything was wrong. They said something happened to the order that it got lost or their computer malfunctioned, bulls*** !! The funeral is over, the flowers never arrived, I was left hanging, thinking they were delivered. I called them in a rage and all they wanted to do for me is give me 10% off of the order and... they couldn't even deliver until the next day.
If you use Avas Flowers you will be very disappoited. Don't say you were not warned.....STAY AWAY!!!!!
And Avas....If your reading this, this is very, very bad for business. You don't just loose orders to funerals and weddings, etc.

HORRIBLE. placed an order for a specific date. arrangement never came. called 4 times. each time i was told they would call me back. they refused to let me speak to a manager and they never called back. flowers did not come, even though i received a "confirmation." THIS PLACE IS A SCAM - DO NOT USE

The took more orders for Valentines than they could fill. They never delivered my order. They never notified me that there would or might be a problem. They cut off their phones and ignored all emails the entire day. Calls eventually, after 10 minutes, transferred to FTD. FTD said there was nothing they could do but have Ava's email me--which they never did. So FTD is a party to this fraud. I'm going to serve them in New Orleans and I look forward to what they have to spend to fly from NY to appear--or take a default judgment.

Bad customer service. I was give the run-around, because I wasn't happy at all with the arrangement and I was told that it looks great...but I ordered a birthday bouquet and I got a Christmas arrangement.

I had placed an order, then read some reviews that made me nervous. I called Avas at least three more times. Spoke with Rene and Brian. They were pleasant, polite and professional and assured me the flowers would be exactly as ordered. When I attended the funeral, the flowers were even more beautiful than the picture. Thank you Avas Flowers for being so patient and making sure the flowers were the perfect tribute for my special cousin.

Do NOT us this service. Placed order online, never received confirmation. Lied to. Would do nothing to help resolve problem. Told me it was my problem so I ended up paying for 2 different funeral wreaths @ $175. each
