Tastings A Wine Experience

A date experience. A small menu that is easily paired with the main wine experience. The selection of wines and ability to taste so many so easily is a joy for wine enthusiasts. The bottle purchase prices appear inflated compared to local liquor stores though.

Tastings is a good idea. This is a great way to taste a variety of wine from very expensive bottles to a wine that is not as expensive. Tastings is a little pricey and I wasn't even tasting the expensive bottles. You can make a evening of it ordering some food and going around to the different types of wine. Something fun to try and taste taste wines.

this bar seems to think that it's neat technology and little cards describing each wine mean that its servers don't have to know anything about wine. I knew more than our "wine guide" did, easily.
When a bottle I wanted to try was nearly empty - it spurted out what was left and didn't give me the entire glass I had paid for... unless the rest of it was on my blouse. When I asked one of the "waiters" for some assistance, he seemed like there was nothing he could do about it, and perhaps he couldn't because when I asked to see a manager I was informed there were none in the restaurant. On a Friday evening.
Beyond that the food is mediocre at best - go for the cheese plate. The rest is all micro-waved, manufactured food and certainly not worth the sticker price.

With better management this place might go somewhere. But as it is... if you want to enjoy Tastings my advice is to go now... I don't see it lasting much longer.

While Tastings is a little pricey, the concept is neat--and admittedly, they let you try wines you wouldn't otherwise get to try by the glass or tasting. You can spend hours reading the different descriptions and choosing your next taste. Neat!
