I rarely take time to write reviews mainly for lack of time. I had to share this time and let others know what a Gem this Salon has.
A co-worker tired of my complaining every time I had my hair done recommended her stylist at Salon HairSay
Lindsey DID NOT DISAPPOINT!
Good Hair Stylist are hard to find and I owe my co-worker for recommending Lindsey.
I was impressed with her calm nature and professionalism and most important to me she listened to my concerns and was professional in her feedback and recommendations. I'm a fan and highly recommend Lindsey and Salon HairSay for your next beauty day.

Pros: UpBeat Professional Atmosphere

Cons: That it took me so long to Finally find a Good Stylist

.

My hair looks amazing! I love all the stylists and they made me feel welcome. The salon is gorgeous. It was nice to have a glass of wine while getting pampered too. It was very convenient from my home. I will be back.

Ultimately the best massage i have ever gotten. Harriet knew all the right pressure points and applied just the right amount of pressure. It was great! I left feeling loose and relaxed. Service and staff is great and you can not beat the prices!

I have been a repeat customer at this salon for about a year and for good reason: The results are incredible. Their hairstylists are amazing and always updating and can cater to any style, unlike some salons in portland which focus only on certain looks. The manicures and pedicures are equally amazing and I've been all over trying out different massages, facials mani's and pedi's and Hair say is still the best place I have ever found for a reasonable price. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!

If you are looking for a fabulous colorist/stylist you HAVE to see Miranda. She is super talented and makes my dark hair a true blond (NOT easy appararently as most colorists turn it brassy orange). I come from Washington as often as I can for cut and color!

i had my hair cut today by jenna. what an idiot! her boyfriend? apparently works there too and she talked about them and their life the entire time i was there. i always thought that the stylist was supposed to focus on the client, but she was very self centered. she also talked badly about some of her coworkers, which made me very uncomfortable. my haircut itself was pretty average, not great, but not horrible. i wont be going back to this salon. there are so many other salons around here, that i hope people will take my advise and not bother!

I went here for a hair color, and the stylist (the salon owner) did a good job and gave me a finished look. However, he is an impossible person to be around. He has an overbearing demeanor. I arrived and had a seat in the waiting area. He walked quickly over to me and said, "Let's do this!" During my appointment, he shouted orders and instructions to his staff, made a pass at me, and threatened his niece and nephew, who were left at the salon to be babysat.

I have nothing but great things to say about this place! I was treated like gold, Amy and the other staff were professional and caring. I got so much individualized attention, and was treated like a true gem. I came for a massage and facial, and it was nothing less than a true slice of heaven. I recommend this place to everyone I know!

I live in Vancouver, which is probably about 45minutes away from Hair Say. But the drive is definitely worth it. As soon as I walk in I am greeted my the receptionist (who knows me by name) who then offers refreshments. (LOVED THE WINE) The girl that does my hair always does a GREAT JOB and all of the other employees are always very attentive to my needs. I would recommend this salon to anyone! What an AWESOME STAFF!

When comes to someone cutting my hair I am very picky.

I have not had a serious hair cut since I was about 10 (minus a simple trim) where the idea of cutting my hair short made me feel a little nervous. My husband and I had been looking for a salon I could feel comfortable with taking on the task of cutting my hair and not disappointing me.

My greatest fear was finding a salon that would cut my hair - botch it up - and find myself in tears the next day...

That's when a friend of my husband referred me to Eddie and Hair Say.

The service was Exceptional!

As soon as I was seated with Eddie I was immediatly provided with a glass of wine and an interview about the kind of hairstyle I was looking for. Considering I haven't had a haircut in years I had no idea what would look good on me so I let the expert go to work.

He took not of my every fear and concern with making a drastic hair change and threw it out the door! He even gave me his best stylest for short haircuts to make sure I would not be disappointed.

He was right. I was not.

I have recieved nothing but rave reviews from all I know about my hair and am very pleased with Hair Say. And I have not cried a day losing my long locks.

If your looking for a Salon - Go to Eddie or Michelle at Hair Say! They took great care of me where I will be a lifelong customer! They are pricey however, sometimes you can't put a price on quality.

I was referred to Michael at Hair Say by a friend of mine who raved about him. I gave Hair Say a shot and have to say that this is the first hair dresser I've had that actually cared to take the time to show me how to style my hair. I have naturally curly hair (but wear it straight) and he showed me different ways of wearing my hair that I never knew possible! I seriously have never had someone who wanted to take the time to teach me about my hair. His high-lights are amazing and I would never not go back. I have since referred a friend, who referred her friend, and they are both extremely happy!

HairSay Salon is the best salon I have come across in a long time. I have been going there for about 6 months. Edward is my colorist, and he is amazing. I trust him 100%! He knows what he is doing and will always make you look your best. When it comes to your hair color, make sure you use Edward, he always leaves you wanting more...

I received a door hanger for $20 & I had been searching for a new salon in the area because my last salon went out of business. I was more than happy when I left there. Michelle was very sweet and an excellent hair dresser. She gave me a great blow dry too. I will definitely be back to see her!!!

I went in to Hair Say by recommendation of a good friend after my stylist went on maternity leave. I had a very pleasant experience especially after the relaxing complementary glass of wine. Everyone was so nice. The receptionist was great. I had to change my appointment around a few times but she was extra patient with me. My stylist was excellent and I love my new look! Be back for the Facial!!!

my opinion...
This salon is trying to be 'too big for its britches'. It is a decent salon. Not as upscale as I think they want to be, or are advertising to be... or most of all - charging for. The salon is nicely decorated, although the floors are old and disgusting, and it is in need of some deeper remodeling/revamping - the building is cool, but you can tell it's old, and there are some things that just haven't been updated... not just the new paint on the walls. (I notice these things being in the construction/design industry). The bathroom was kinda gross... and there was a smell when you first walk in. Not a salon smell of chemicals, etc... but something else.
If prices are going to be upwards of $200 for a cut & color - the stylists should dress, and more importantly act more professional. Not that I mind so much personally... but if I am going to pay that much the stylists shouldn't look so frumpy & shouldn't spend their time gossiping with eachother. I love my hair, I really do. But I have had equal results, for about 1/2 the price. The results were good. The girl that did my hair did a good job, and I am happy with how it turned out. I won't go back though.

You know a good sign of customer service is how they respond to negative reviews. I had been considering going here since I have heard positive stories about some of the stylists there. After reviewing this site I have to say that I am not going to be changing my stylist.

I have looked at other review sites for this salon. I am shocked by the response by the girl that criticized this customer. I am in a field that will also not suffer from the economic downfall. But I also know that if someone were to find a negativity in something that I had done then I would do everything I could do make it right. Even if it was just a letter apologizing.

Word of mouth is the best advertising there is. So I hope the owner of this salon knows the damage his employees are doing.

Don't go here... All the good reviews that you read for this place were obviously written by employees. A diamond in the rough? No way ever! This place was a joke! This place is WAY over priced for everything they offer. $45 for a set of nails, $30 for a pedi, and $50 for a basic haircut?? Please!! Go to Lynn's a block away and you can get a really awesome pedi for only $20. I got a couple of those pdx half price hot spot certificates and went there for a basic haircut and a pedi, using one of my gift certificates. I would never pay those prices for a haircut if I was paying in full. When she was done with my haircut, it looked the same! She didn't even style it, just blew it dry barely. That was a couple weeks ago. I went today because I was told they would be slow on Tuesdays. I called and made a hair apt for 1:30 w/ Melissa. She told me, when she did my hair before, that for a full weave, she would only charge me $60. I went in at my apt time expecting that amt, and she met me at the door telling me that the discount was not available with the certificates. Devastated, I left saying I would make an apt in the next couple weeks when I could afford full price ($85!!!) I went back asking if I could just get a half, and the receptionist asked and Melissa said that she could fit me in in bout 45 minutes. I left AGAIN and went to Target to busy myself. When I arrived a THIRD time, the receptionist told me that Melissa wasn't going to be able to do my hair after all!!! I asked the receptionist if I could just get my nails done instead, and she said sure. When the first nails lady came in I asked if I could, for sure, use my certificate and the nail lady said I couldn't because she was not part of the salon. She was her own business. Receptionist told me that the other nail lady, another Melissa, came in 15 minutes. I asked the receptionist, AGAIN, if I was able to use this certificate for the nail service and she assured me that I could. I sat and waited and when Melissa came in, she quickly sat me and did my nails. Before she did the final coat and the polish, I told her I would pay her so I didn't smudge my polish. Once I set my certificate down, she told me I couldn't use it. Since I had used one on my last visit, I couldn't use it one this one. The lady who worked in the booth next to me started making this huge deal about it and said they were only one per customer. I told her about me asking the receptionist before my service was even started and she assured me I could use it. Well, guess what? Receptionist quit that day!! It happened shortly after I went in the nail room. Melissa, the nail tech felt really bad and she was honestly the only one who acted with any sort of professionalism. I was almost in tears by the time I left, and that is no way for a business to treat their customers. They have a $20 discount for first time customers, but SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Seriously, there are so many better places within a mile radius of this place. Amaze salon, Lynn's, and Lilo's are all located on Beaverton-Hillsdale and are half the price of this place. Lynn's has the best pedis I have ever had. This place has referral cards they give their first time customers to hand out to people, and I handed some out at first, but after this visit I tore all the rest up and emailed the people that I gave the other ones to and told them my story. The only person who even treated me with any sort of respect in this place was my nail tech. I will never return to this place after my experience today.

I told her about me asking the receptionist before my service was even started and she assurd me I could use it. Well, guess what? Receptionist quit that day!! It happened shortly after I went in the nail room. Melissa, the nail tech felt really bad and she was honestly the only one who acted with any sort of professionalism. I was almost in tears by the time I left, and that is no way for a business to treat thier customers. This place has referral cards they give thier first time customers to hand out to people, and I handed some out at first, but after this visit I tore all the rest up and emailed the people that I gave the other ones to and told them my story. The only person who even treated me with any sort of respect in this place was my nail tech. I will never return to this place after my experience today.

Pros: none

Cons: extremely unprofessional

i started going to HairSay several months ago, when i decided that i wanted to change stylists. i'm very happy with the cut and color that i get from Eddie. i also appreciate how motivated he and his staff are to make HairSay the best salon around. i love that it's an upscale and hip salon in the heart of the 'burbs'.

My friend turned me on to HairSay. I had just decided to change stylists and she suggested I go to Eddie for a different styling experience. She was right on.

I walked into a beautiful waiting area with high ceilings, music, coffee, magazines, and an array of high-end yet affordable hair products. What a change from the usual "boxed in" feeling of many salons. Sort of the difference between a "beauty shop" and a "salon".

I was interviewed. What did I like? How did I see myself? What did I want to project? Wow! I was hooked. Then the test. How did my hair look after all the conversation? Absolutely me! The way I wanted to look. HairSay is definitely MY salon now!

I got one of the better cuts I've had, and it was a true pleasure. The services was friendly and professional, and the children's playroom was such a life saver. This is a salon that I intend to go back to again and again.

I am from New York City, and was in Portland on business a few months ago. When I left on my trip I was rushing around, as usual, and did not have time to get my hair done. Thus I was stressed, having to meet with my PDX clients with my hair not too cute. I dreaded going to a salon to have my hair touched by someone I didn't know. The last time I did that on the west coast it took about two years to recover LOL.

Thus, I drove around Beaverton looking for an upscale salon that maybe would be able to meet my expectations. When I walked into HairSay I was approached right away by a fashionable girl who introduced me to Edward, the owner of the salon. I explained my predicament to him and, although I didn't have an appointment, he immediately took action, got me in a chair and worked on my hair for the next hour. It was near closing time for them but he put that aside and took the time to deep condition, cut, style and fix my hair. It looked better than my Manhattan stylist has ever done.

I have since moved to Oregon and went back for my second appointment last week. I had my high and low lights re done and my hair looks fabulous! I also had a pedicure by a lady at the salon, sorry, I didn't catch her name but very good job. Eddie is an accomplished stylist with a great personality and obviously has his heart into his work. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone who is picky about their hair and the results they get from their stylist. I shall be back!

Pros: Ambience and service, this place rocks

I work in the neighborhood, drive by just about every day and saw the New Sign;so I decided to stop in to get a cut. I had come in once before awhile back but was turned away as they told me that they didnt take walk ins. I was greeted right away but did have to wait for my New Stylist to finish up a client. This time was a great experience and I will return again for my next look.

Pros: Great Atmosphere

Cons: Limited parking

When I first walked through the doors of Hair Say I was really amazed by the atmosphere. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcome and relaxed. I had been seeing my stylist at another salon and followed her because I have been extremely satisfied with the services I have received from her for over 2 years. The new location is so much more inviting, relaxing and clean. Everyone here is upbeat, loves doing hair and truly makes my time at the salon so much more enjoyable.

I live and work in the Beaverton area and happen to drive by Hairsay Salon everyday. So I stopped in after work since they are open till 8 and was I shocked. I had to wait in the "lobby" for 5 minutes before I was even noticed> When I was greeted it was by a blonde girl who was sooo busy flirting with the male stylest that she paid little or no attention to my questions. I was attemping to make an appointment, aginst my better judgement, when another stylest came around the corner fight with the same male stylest, and this one had a baby on her hip. I decided at this point to just walk away. There was not one other customer in the salon, yet they were all to busy to fit me in. I wanted to write a review of my experience at Hairsay mainly because I read the other two review which are so obviously written by Ashley and Abby that I thought it was only fair that the public recived a real review and not only the ones put up by desperate clientless hair dressers. I hope that the owner is aware of the image these slightly "trashy" girls are giving his salon!! Good luck Guys I wish you the best!

I'm very picky when it comes to my hair, it is my favorite feature and I want perfection=] I was reccommended in the past to Vitality by my cousin so I tried it out and came across the most astounding Hair Professional named Abby, she is phenominal=] I wasn't too big on the treatment I received from the others at Vitality but was most definitely satisfied with Abby's performance=] Not too long ago I was informed by Vitality that Abby no longer worked for them so with having Abby's personal number from when she worked for Vitality before I called her up to find where she had gone and she informed me of this fabulous hair salon named Hairsay and when I went it was wonderful. Not only was I happy once again by Abby's performance but was able to meet new friendly faces. I was more pleased then ever before. I felt so very comfortable and happy with everyones win-win attitudes, I couldn't have asked for more. They in my opinion are A-1 material so anyone feeling unhappy with their hair salons please give Hairsay a try and I'm positive you won't be disappointed.
THANKS ABBY AND ALL THE CREW AT HAIRSAY, YOUR THE BEST!!!

Oh what can I say, I went into hairsay randomly to see if i could get a haircut and they were so helpful and nice and got me in right away. They put me with Ashley and when she came to get from the waiting area I realized it was my old stylist from Dosha, who went on maternity leave and did not return cause she found a much classier salon than Dosha. If anyone reads this review Ashley informed me that when she left Dosha she was not allowed to contact her clients, but here she is at Hairsay. Michele Hunter also works here that worked at dosha too. Check it out, its a very relaxed atmosphere and also very inviting!!!!!!

Cons: Nothing

Haircuts tend to frighten me, but this place came highly recommended. I got a dramatically different cut and color and it?s the best cut I?ve gotten in years (maybe ever)! I like supporting locally owned businesses, especially those that are just getting started. The owner and other staff were very friendly. I don?t have kids but I did notice they even have a playroom for the little ones (what a good idea).
