I hate moving but these guys made our day so much easier. Pleasant personalities, super quick with packing, loading & unloading and very reasonably priced. Would recommend these guys to anyone. Best movers we have ever used & the only ones we will use in the future.

This was our first move we hired movers. We lived on the 3rd floor with only stairs. They figured out how to get big, awkward items down the stairs efficiently. It was a great experience for our first time hiring someone else...and well worth it!

First, let me say that it takes a VERY good or VERY bad experience to get me to write a review.

Moving is stressful, period. Especially in the city with smaller homes, narrow doorways and narrow/one way streets that you pretty much have to block completely to load a moving truck. However, yesterday was honestly the best move I have ever had - in years of moving around. Broad Street movers were absolutely PERFECT. They were on time, extremely careful, friendly, helpful (going above and beyond just moving stuff) and efficient. Overall they did a fantastic job. I would absolutely hire them again, recommend them to all my friends and would certainly not dread moving if it was with their services and help. LOOK NO FURTHER - these are your guys.

I am so glad we hired Broad Street Movers for our recent move from South Philly to Wilmington, DE. After interviewing a few other moving companies we decided on Broad Street for a few initial reasons: they start the clock when they load your stuff (most companies don't); they are affordable; they are local; and most importantly they care about making your move their top priority. Mark is the owner and was very pleasant and professional to deal with. He can come to your residence to survey what needs moving and the best way to do so. He was even on the job for our move. Mark's crew is awesome - they are VERY careful, quick, and take the time to ask your opinion on where/how things should be moved. For our move, they braved 2 days of flu-inducing weather and 2+ hours of traffic to move 2 truckloads of our belongings. Mark even gave us a break on the moving costs in the end. I highly recommend Broad Street Movers and kudos to Mark, Phil, Wes and Maxwell for a job well done!!!

Everything about my experience with Broad Street Movers was fantastic.

Owner Mark is very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and he went over everything with me prior to the move.

The guys were right on time and wasted no time getting to work. All of the furniture was wrapped and every single item was treated as if it was their own. The guys also had great attitudes, were very friendly and outgoing and really helped to make a stressful day actually fun. They took care in making sure that everything was right where we wanted and really went above and beyond with their service.

Broad Street's rates were extremely competitive and unlike other companies they don't start the clock until the get there and they stop they clock when the last item is in the house (not when the leave the office and when the return to the office).

I would wholeheartedly recommend Broad Street Movers to anyone looking for movers.

In a word ? PHENOMENAL!

Mark and his team are fantastic, and truly professional. They are friendly outgoing guys who made moving a breeze. All of my furniture was carefully wrapped and transported without so much as a single dent, nick or scratch. My new apartment had a tight stairwell with a turn mid-way, but by some magic they turned and twisted several huge pieces of furniture right up without even breaking a sweat.

Also, of all the moving companies I contacted ? and I contacted a lot ? Mark was by far the most responsive and attentive throughout the entire process. Moving can be stressful, but that level of customer service and their professionalism on the job put me at ease. I highly recommend Broad Street Movers, and will certainly use them again.

Broad Street Movers saved my life!! I moved from a house to a small apartment in the third floor that had many spiral staircases, which made moving almost impossible. I have several large pieces of furniture that I could not imagine would fit up the stairs. Broad Street Movers somehow made it happen. They arrived on time in the morning, packed up my house in no time (and carefully wrapped every couch, piece of glass, picture, etc.) and somehow brought everything up the crazy spiral stairs. When we couldnt figure out how to get the biggest pieces up the stairs, they hoisted it up the house onto the roof and brought it through the deck. I had never seen anything like it!!

I cannot imagine using and other moving service and will tell everyone I know to use them. You would be foolish to choose another service. Also, VERY reasonably priced.

Mark and the staff at Broad Street Movers worked to accommodate a last minute move request for my family - amazingly nice, professional, efficient. They had us unloaded in under an hour - and that included hoisting two pieces of furniture over a balcony unscathed (narrow hallways of historic philly buildings)!
I would call them again in a heartbeat.
I have never had such a stress free moving day.
Really fantastic!

We also used Broad Street Movers to move about 20 boxes between two Center City locations...They did an amazing job, were done in the blink of an eye and are truly the nicest guys. Thanks Broad Street Movers!

I had an excellent experience with Mark =moving my daughter into her apartment in Philadelphia.Mark was without a doubt, the best moving company I had ever deallt with. He was on time, had 2 men in his company unload a completely filled cargo van and have the entire contents in my daughters 9th floor apartment in 30 minutes. All three were incredibly pleasant and helpful. The next day I returned to bring more things for my daughter and I was running late, but Mark waited for me to get there to rent a cart and helped me unload my filled SUV and even helped me take everything to the apartment and unload it. I would highly recommend him and would use his company without hesitation.

Mark and his team are great! My partner and I used them for a recent move and the team was on time, moved quickly, and professional. They were careful with all of our furniture and nothing was damaged. It was a super hot day in August, and I felt terrible for them, but they had a great attitude and got the job done.

I really liked using Broad Street Movers and would TOTALLY use them again in if I had to move.

The guys at Broad Street Movers were great . . . from our first phone conversation, to the follow-up phone call, to the day of the actual move. I was a little skeptical after reading all the 5-star reviews on here, wondering if there was any way a moving company could be this good. I have to say, after using Broad St Movers, I see why they get all these great reviews. They moved 2 apts for us (1 from Center City, 1 from Narberth) to Bala Cynwyd.

Mark and his crew (2 other guys) were great from start to finish. Showed up on time, had a plan, and were very efficient in loading the truck. Amazingly they took no breaks and never slowed down, even though we had a lot of heavy furniture.

I couldn't really ask for more from movers - I felt comfortable with them right from the start, and they were very hard working and friendly.

I just moved my one bedroom apt from NJ to west PA (abt 6 hr drive) and Broad Street Movers made it very easy!! On a fri morning, they showed up earlier than requested and were very fast...moved my apt in just half hour!! And I had those big commercial boxes too. Mark himself was there for the move and both guys were friendly and careful..nothing damaged. Honestly, the move was much better than I had anticipated!

I needed moving assistance at the last minute, and Broad Street totally came through for me in every way! I was able to move across the city - out of one apartment into the next - in 2 hours!! I moved from Manayunk to Society Hill, and Mark and his crew (Joe and Todd) did a great job! They moved me in exactly three hours and I couldn't have asked for better service. I was nervous that my queen sized mattress and box spring wasn't going to make it to the third floor of my new apartment, but with Mark and Joe's ingenuity, there were no problems! (You should really get a patent for that!) Thanks again!

You would be making a nonsensical decision if you don't use Broad Street Movers for your next move!!

We used these guys for a move from NYC to Philly. I could not have been happier.

They showed up on time and wasted no time moving my apartment. They were very careful and worked very hard.

They got the whole move done in exactly 8 hours from start to finish and gave us great restaurant recommendations at the end of the move.

These guys are the best! I would use them again without question.

The three guys were really nice! When i ran out of tape or supplies, they provided them. The couch was hard to get down the stairs but they did it without removing the front door. They also took apart furniture. I was able to ride in their truck with them to the storage unit and they did a great job of organizing and fitting everything into the smallest possible units. Overall great job and I will be using them again in a few months!

I hadt a great experience with Broad Street movers today. They were quick, professional, and took really good care of my stuff. I was beyond impressed. They also came in way cheaper than we had calculated: 2 guys packing at $80 per hour (packing took 2 hours, we were expecting 3), and 3 guys moving for $105 per hour (it's $90 per hour for 2 movers, they recommended going with 3 as it goes faster), again, took 2 hours on the dot, though we were budgeting for 3. In short, my total move into storage was $370, plus $90 for the packing materials. I am VERY happy.

Mark was friendly and honest with me from day 1. He made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole process, and I'm really glad I had his guys pack me up rather than waste a week trying to do it myself! Will definitely, definitely use again!

i was super stressed out about my move since i had to be out by the afternoon of my move and the guys came in and did the whole apartment in under 2 hours. after it was all done, i realized i was crazy to think i couldn've done it by myself. they managed to squeeze my unwieldy bike and furniture into the half of the truck leftover once all my books were loaded up. it looked like a spider's web of stuff, but it stayed put during the entire move and it was super easy to get it all out. highly recommended.

Moving is typically a very stressful, exhausting experience! I never look forward to it. HOWEVER - Broad Street Movers made it so easy! Mark and his crew were efficient, fun & careful with all of my things. They were in and out QUICK but never threw my stuff around - they treated it like it was their own. They were kind and polite and very professional. For what i got, I felt the cost was FANTASTIC! I am just so thankful for such a stress-free moving experience. I will totally use them again!!!

I recently relocated to Philadelphia from Columbus, OH and Broad Street Movers made it so easy for me. We loaded the truck ourselves in Ohio and drove out, the Broad Street cre came out and had my fully loaded 14 foot U-Haul unloaded (with two sofas and mattresses and a wardrobe through the front window) in only 2 hours!

I appreciate Mark's honest and accommodating approach when he dealt with us. (I was scheduled to move in on the 28th and didn't get the apartment until the 30th). His flexibility made a stressful move a lot less stressful.

Their rates were affordable.

I would use them again and highly reccommend them to anyone getting ready to move.

mark, maxwell and joe are the greatest movin dudes around. i didn't expect any less since they were referred by a friend. i emailed them in march about my may move and mark got back to me within a half hour. great communication, and they took really good care of my furniture. not to mention, they're really professional and good at what they do. whole experience was wonderful. i'll be referring all my friends and colleagues. no doubt.

After my first phone call from Mark I knew we had found our moving company. I called several others before, but Mark was the most professional and the only one who seemed to care to have my business.

We moved from a 3-story (2 bedroom) in the Rittenhouse area to a 2-story (3 bedroom) in Media. When my husband and I moved into the place the 3-story a few years ago, it took nearly 6 hours between 6 people. It took Mark and Maxwell about 3 hours (and that includes the 30 min drive to Media)! They arrived on time and got right to work. Their process was efficient - they checked out what needed to be moved and then quickly planned how they would move everything out. Nothing was broken, scratched, or missing after everything was said and done. I can't rave about them enough. If you are looking for movers, these are your guys. I almost wish I was moving again so I could hire them again. These guys are spectacular at what they do!

Also, these guys are EXPERIENCED professionals. There are some other well known moving companies in Philly that don't use pros and charge MORE than Broad Street Movers. Like I said, these guys take the cake.

The nature of my move was unfortunate and swift so after reading these reviews, Broad Street Movers seemed solid and hassle-free (no extra charges), so I contacted Mark and had an appt. set up immediately. On moving day, Mark and Max gave a friendly "we'll take care of everything" greeting then got to work. And work they did...I've never seen movers work so efficiently and with such care. They finished in amazing time and then helped me fix furniture that I had broken over the years! Moving is such a chaotic and stressful day and I'm so appreciative that Mark and Max were there as they made it anything but.

Mark, Maxwell, and Wes moved us from one tiny South Philly row to another a few blocks away.

For whatever reason, the gods of parking were aligned against us on this day, and the crew was harassed by a South Philly cop on a power trip. She refused to let them park their truck anywhere near our house and threatened to tow it away. She then circled the neighborhood like a vulture to make sure the truck wasn't in the street. In South Philly! Land of the Left Turn Lane Parking Zone! Basically, this one person tried to make the day completely impossible for everyone involved.

But the Broad Street Movers? Heroes! Vigilantes! Rogues for justice in the name of moving! Anybody else would have given up.

Throughout this ridiculous ordeal, they were personable, kind, good humored, and efficient. They had to park a few blocks away and move us from there, and they STILL accomplished everything in record time! I was livid at this cop, but they weren't even grumpy! They were just pathologically wonderful.

I have used every moving company in the city of Philadelphia, and these guys are the best. Holy cow. Nobody works as fast, as hard, and as fabulously as these guys. 5 out of 5 stars. There is no reason to use any other company.

These guys are the absolute best. From the first phone call to the last box they moved, everyone from the owner Mark to his entire crew were incredibly friendly, efficient and professional, and simply made my move as stress free as it possibly could have been. Mark always called me back right away, was totally honest about cost and pricing, and called me a few times the day before and the morning of my move to give me updates on when they'd be at my house. These guys move your things quickly, safely and efficiently... and NEVER "milked the clock" even for a second. They are true pros, through and through, and I'd recommend them unequivocally for any job, big or small.

Broad Street Movers just completed a move for me. Having had a terrible experience with a national moving company for my last move, I was nervous about this one, but Mark and the crew did a wonderful job. The price was right, but most importantly, they did a top rate job. When unexpected issues arose during the move, they became problem-solvers and rolled with it. Communication with the mover is really important, and Mark and his team communicated with me before the move and during the move. They handled antiques with particular care. Bravo!

After moving three times in six years, our moving experience with Broad Street Movers was by far the best we have had. Our entire moving experience from start to finish was completely hassle free - irrespective of the fact that we were moving out of a four story townhome with endless stairs!!! All of the "crew" were extremely friendly and professional. They were really careful with all of the furniture, but particularly good with some of our more valuable pieces - including an armoire located on the 4th floor and a piano on the 2nd floor. Our walls and floors (hardwood) were also well looked after. The owner, Mark, was a pleasure to work with from start to finish and was very accommodating when we were forced to change dates. Mark also made every effort to minimize additional costs when forced to store furniture on the truck for multiple days. Their prices were very competitive and they finished the move within the estimated time. I hope that we will not be moving again anytime soon, but if so I have no doubt we will be giving these guys a call.

Best money ever spent. I will recommend these movers to everyone I know and use them again in the future.
These guys moved us in the pouring down rain onto a tiny South Philly street, backing their truck onto my street up on the curb, with no complaints or issues.

Not only were they extremely nice and professional, but extremely efficient and true to their word on pricing. They worked hard and carefully, even moving some furniture up 3 stories through a window. They are a friendly and funny group of guys. Mark is on top of his stuff, calling to confirm two times prior to the move.

The Broad Street Movers are excellent! They are professional, responsive, efficient, punctual, friendly and the price is right. Mark and his team were able to move furniture from two locations into my apartment within 2 1/2 hours. They are extremely knowledgeable of Philadelphia. And more importantly, they are very knowledgeable about how to care for and protect furniture. They paid extra attention to the small details and I felt totally confident in their services. I have already recommended them to my neighbors. I've moved multiple times over the last decade and this by far was the best experience. You can comparison shop but you won't find anyone better.

I can't say enough about how wonderful my experience with Broad St Movers was. Mark and his team were punctual, pleasant to work with, and incredibly efficient. They were careful with my stuff, and meticulous with the homes I was moving to/from. (No wall dings, scratches, etc.) And they were absolutely true to their word with pricing. Found about about Broad Street Movers via PhillyBlog. Turned out to be a great choice. Pricing was upfront and clear. Mark and Wes were friendly, professional, and positive. Everything was moved very quickly. Everything arrived in the condition they started out in. I don't think I could've been more comfortable with the move or more satisfied with the way it went. I used Broad Street Movers to move from Central Jersey to West Philadelphia. The best money I ever spent. First, there was absolute truth in pricing. There were no hidden fees or "special" charges. I paid for the time and the toll. That's it. Second, they were quick! Sometimes when you pay folks by the hour, there is a disincentive to work quickly, especially when there is no job later that day. In this case, nothing could be further from the truth...I've never seen two guys move so efficiently in my life. Third, they took care with my furniture. I don't exactly have any heirloom furniture (I'm a grad student...everything second hand), but everything was well handled and came through unharmed. And finally, they just made everything easy. I've heard horror stories about movers, so there was some trepidation on my part. But, everything went like clockwork, I didn't have to worry about anything. I couldn't give a higher recommendation.

They are professional, friendly, and always upbeat, even if the moving takes longer than expected, and at every step of the process they treat your items with respect, as if they were their own. I moved last week from South Jersey to Philly and it couldn't have been easier thanks to Broad Street Movers. Having recently moved to the area from New England, I had to rely on customer reviews to find reliable movers and I'm happy to say that the Citysearch reviews are entirely accurate.

Mark, the owner, was on the move himself. He and the other mover were awesome -- they were on time, worked hard, and finished faster than the original estimate. They were also able to hoist my queen-sized box spring through a second-story window. The property manager of my building had warned me ahead of time that a queen-sized box spring wouldn't fit into my apartment; according to him, others had tried and failed. Thank God for Mark's perseverance! I will definitely look to Broad Street for future moves. They were reliable, professional, very reasonably priced, and simply great at what they do!

These guys did exactly what you want movers to do: show up on time, be professional, take care of your stuff, and work hard. For the quality received, the price was very fair. If their estimate fits into your budget, then there's no reason to use anyone else.

Mark was on time and also able to accommodate a last minute addition to my move itinerary. He wrapped my love seat in cushioning and made it so much easier to move. He helped save me money by allowing me to be the second person on our "two man crew". It was so great using his service I almost want to move just to experience his professionalism again!

Mark and his crew moved me last week from Philadelphia to Northern, NJ. These were just the greatest bunch of guys that I have had the pleasure of moving with. I have done several moves and this one was the smoothest by far. They were punctional, friendly, congenial, and extremely professional and customer oriented. The showed up when they were supposed to and had smiles on their faces. All of my possessions made the move without a scratch. They set everything up and placed things where I asked them to. Their prices are extremely reasonable and you get more than you pay for. I called Mark the following day because I could not find something. He would not stop contacting me until I found the item. Of course, it was in front of my face. They are really the best. You cannot go wrong with them.
