3 Stars: Pretty basic Japanese ramen (by Yuho Q.)

Daikokuya is located in Little Tokyo. It has very unique and interesting atmosphere. Their ramen, however, was not so unique to me. It was very basic ramen and service was ok.

4 Stars: Great Ramen (by Yvette D.)

There's just something about their ramen, actually the soup base, that stands out from the other ramen places. Or maybe it's everything else they put in it. So buttery and good - so bad for you, but so good! There is a wait since a lot of folks flock this place.

5 Stars: Excellent ramen! (by Linda K.)

Daikokuya is a MUST if you are visiting Little Tokyo for the first time! The restaurant is famous for their delicious ramen bowl which comes with a hard-boiled egg, pork-based soup, pork slices, bamboo, and lots of chopped green onions. It's simply delicious and I've recommended this place to so many of my friends.

If you are a big eater, I recommend the Combination special with the ramen and teriyaki chicken. It always comes with a cabbage salad with delicious miso dressing!

But because the restaurant is so small, seating is very limited so get to the restaurant early!! Anytime before 7 is optimal because the waiting list can get extremely long.
