I called John about an electrical outlet problem in my kitchen and he fixed the issues within one hour. He's extraordinarily courteous, knowledgeable and can explain your problem in layman's terms.

I highly recommend him. As a new homeowner I'm glad I don't have to worry about any electrical issues in the future since John is just a phone call away.

John from J.A. Electric came the first day we called to fix a couple of hanging pendant lights. He identified the problem right away, and although he didn't have the part, he found someone who had one in stock (rather than ordering and waiting) and came back the next day and did the install in under 10 minutes. He also cut the price down, and only charged us for one visit even though he came twice.

I have no reservations in recommending him to anyone!

Let me begin by saying that I would recommend J.A. Electric to anyone, everyone- my own mother? Absolutely.

There is nothing that makes me cringe more than getting a report from staff that there is a plumbing or electrical issue in our very old Back Bay building. I absolutely dread the process of searching for someone to come out and give us an estimate for repairs to our commercial space.

I can't count the number of contractors that either complain about or refuse to come to our location, or require a non-refundable fee for an estimate of repair. This often leads to days of circling and circling an appointment "window" which is often missed and rescheduled several times with little or no warning. Then come the seemingly exorbitant prices with little or no explaination of the reason for the high cost.

I called J.A. and my call was answered by John, who told me he could come over and take a look free of charge that same afternoon. He was positively pleasant to talk to. I got off the phone in disbelief.

Not only did John come by within a few hours of my call, he called to check in a short while before he arrived to let me know he would be on the way shortly.

He very professionally and kindly introduced himself and then very quietly and methodically spent two hours going over all of the electrical in our salon with a fine-toothed comb (pardon the pun).

He then reported to me with several options for a solution, one of which (and the one he suggested) did not involve using his services at all, but was something we could do ourselves very inexpensively. Astounding.

If you are looking for an earnest and reliable solution to an electrical problem, look no further. I cannot recommend this company highly enough and will be sure to use J.A. for any future needs both for the salon I manage and for my home.

John from J.A. Electric was very courteous and professional both over the phone and in person. He came out on a Saturday to assess and rectify a problem with my heat/thermostat. I recommend him highly.

John did a great job solving my electrical issues. I live on the West Coast, but own a condo back East. John quickly addressed my issue, kept me apprised of the situation, clearly explained the problem and the solution, and offered up some ideas to troubleshoot this problem in the future. Look no further when deciding upon an electrician for your electrical needs.

John is a pleasure to work with: shows up when he says he will and does the work professionally and reasonably. Very conscientious and thorough -- never leaves anything unfinished. His most recent job for us required resetting our internet service through Comcast, and he stayed to be sure it all went well -- above and beyond the call!

John is a very good electrician that is a true professional. He always arrives when he says and does not try to up- sell the job. His prices are fair and he always cleans up after the job has been completed. I would suggest him for any job.
