One of my favorite sushi restaurants on the peninsula. Love the atmosphere and all the sushi is great! They have great drinks as well...I recommend the lovely geisha.

Hayashi has amazing sushi! I highly recommend the Philly. The prices are reasonable, and the waitstaff is friendly and helpful. The interior design is modern with a Japanese flair, and the atmosphere is great for either a romantic date or a fun get together with friends and family!

Hayashi's is a beautiful restaurant - the decor and ambience are quite delightful. We have been there twice with kids and have had two totally different experiences there. The first time we went the food was fantastic. Tasted great but I would not consider their food authentic Japanese. It is definitely tailored to please the American palate. The second time we went we did not enjoy the food as much. I'm not sure what happened but it was enough for us to not want to go back.

On both occasions we were lucky enough to be seated at the upper "private" table which allowed a little more freedom for the little ones to walk around without disturbing others. We had a party of six (one in a highchair) so that may be why we were able to sit there.

In all fairness neither times did we eat hibachi style. Like most hibachi restaurants they put on quite a show!

Hayashi is my absolute favorite hibatchi grill!! The atmosphere and decor is absolutely stunning... and very zen! The staff is very helpful. The grill is definitely the place to sit! It's quite the experience. The chefs are very entertaining and the food is to die for! Heard the sushi is great. I like the Sukiyaki teriyaki steak on hibatchi as well as the chicken and shrimp--yumm! The ONLY complaint I have is that it's too busy -- I can never wait for that delicious food!
