I made many complaints to PAWS over the years, and yet my neighbors dog still barks with impunity. I'm not sure it's their jurisdiction anymore, but whoever is in charge now, or at any point in time, no one does anything.

PAWS is awesome! The ongoing dedication and the willingness to work events of all sorts is a model that other welfare societies should follow. I have seen PAWS at so many events this year, and all over the city. Hats off to the visionaries and volunteers that make it possible!

PAWS works with the city shelter and takes in over 30,000 animals a year. They have approximately 200 cats, and 50 dogs on any given day up for adoption. The adoption fee is 40$ for cats, this includes spay or neuter, vaccines, and a microchip. For dogs it is 40$ + 8$ city license fee, and that also includes spay or neuter, vaccines and a microchip. Volunteers and staff are very helpful and kind!

They also have many animals in need of foster care including infant kittens, kittens with moms, small animals, and dogs, and many animals IN foster care looking for homes! Adopting an animal out of foster care is wonderful because the animal has been living in a home with people and they can tell you everything to expect!
