If I could click zero stars, I would. If you have a flat roof and want to prevent leaks, look elsewhere. My small flat roof (over one room in my house) leaked so I contacted Ultimate Preservation Company because they claimed to specialize in flat roofs. I paid a small fortune only to discover that my roof leaked worse than before! Each time it rained, there seemed to be a new leak.

Every time I called back the owner/roofer, John, he charged me a high hourly rate to slap on some silicone on the roofing seam. He also offered to coat my entire roof for an outrageous price, which I obviously turned down. After the third try, and with the roof still leaking, I refused to pay that bill. He became very nasty, like he had a dual personality. Then he had the gall to take me to small claims court, where he lied and said that the leak was coming in from a roofing vent (which wasn't anywhere near the roof). And he won, meaning that I am out nearly $3,000 and my roof STILL LEAKS.

Do not believe the hype and find a real roofer with good references or you'll end up with a flat wallet and a LEAKY roof!

We decided to pass on using this company for our roofing needs because of very RUDE behavior on the part of the senior partner when we asked him if he had the Standard for Insurance for the roofing industry called an ??Accord'. This company owner became defensive and eventually very offensive on the phone. We saw this as a very big red flag. If this is how he treats potential customers, how will he behave if real problems arise from his work? PROCEED WITH CAUTION if you deal with him!

His stepson, William Menz, is very pleasant and is the person we had most of our contact with. But, after my questioning on the "accord", the step father indicated he wouldn't be able to fit our roof job in this Fall after William had actually given us a signed contract for the work. Please educate yourself about the insurance requirement details by checking out the information at the following website/link:

Ironically, we really fully intended to hire them to do our mother's roof in Beacon NY (She lives in a very historic home - the first Highland Hospital of Beacon, NY) Their roofing product was what we were looking for. But, alas, not worth the risk due to the "step father's" poor phone etiquette and more importantly, the missing insurance "accord" for roof work!,
