.

I was at this restaurant in 2005-2006. It was quite a while back. I was near Chinatown so I decided to gave Chinatown a try.

The food was just acceptable, nothing spectacular. But after I left, I just got a bad feeling in my gut, not because of the food but because of the environment.

Now I finally understand what that weird feeling in my gut is about. For an understanding of what that weird feeling in my gut is about, go to the links below and read it to see.

Or for the Vietnamese in details, see pg.26-28 of the link below

And if you want a personal perspective on Vietnamese see video below

And after reading the links above, I think I remember seeing some of that organized crimes stuffs mentioned on the links above following me. Or maybe the documents above just spook me.

In any case, I never went back to this restaurant again. And of course I don't go to Chinatown any more, maybe just passing by.

If just base on the food alone, I would have given them 3 stars as they are nothing spectacular. But base on the links above, I would not go there even if the foods were 1,000 stars.

Update 5/19/2013

Now you have to worry about Arsenic poisoning from all the rice products such as the Rice noodle in the Pho and the Rice Vermicelli. See the link below for the Consumer Report Magazine Online version of the article on Arsenic in Rice.

The Pho Tai is delicious. They serve very quickly, and the prices are reasonable being that it's an L.A. restaurant. I would recommend this place if you were to go out with friends because of the relaxing atmosphere they establish for the customers.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean, nice decor and the PHO!

Cons: kinda hard to find the first time, far from my house
