I just bought a new Fender Acoustic/ Electric last night from Hollowood and I was really impressed. These guys were cool, not pushy, and really knowledgeable. I would recommend this store to anyone. The selection was ok, but they made up for it with the attention I received. Can't go wrong here.

I took my son to Hollowood Music to get some new accessories for his guitar, and the sales staff was excellent. They spent time with my son, showing him new products, but at the same time they didn't try to sell us outrageously priced items. They showed us products from a wide range of pricing, which I appreciated.

I went to Hollowood Music and Sound to buy some gear, and what makes me like this store so much is the selection, but also the customer support. The salesman are knowledgeable and very accommodation to what I would like to try out, but they never "push" me into making a purchase. The entire shop/purchase process is very low key and easy going, which is what I like when I am searching for the "just right" instrument.

I was on the website and saw some info on the Peavey Vypyr guitar. I went to the store and the sales guy set me up with the guitar to give it a try along with an awesome Peavey amp. The guitar rocks and the sales guy was very helpful. I liked that the store let me take my time trying the guitar out and asking questions. The sales team is very knowledgeable about the instruments they sell too.

I was on Hollowood website and took interest in the NAMM products. Even though the website had all the information, I wanted to check out and play one specific guitar. The guys at Hollowood set me up with the guitar and an awesome amp so I could play, and after an hour of having fun with it, I finally decided to buy not only the guitar, but the amp too. The customer service experience was great, the selection in the store and on the website is impressive, and overall, the prices are right.

I recently visited your website and read your article on the 2009 NAMM Convention and thought it was pretty cool. I noticed you had the EVH Wolfgang guitar in stock so I had to stop in the store to check it out. The guitar is awesome and thought it was cool to play it plugged into the EVH amp as well. I really appreciated the helpfulness of the sales staff too when i had several questions regarding the guitar. I like knowing that the person I am purchasing an instrument from has complete knowledge of what it is they're selling to me.

I recently visited the Pittsburgh area and visited Hollowood Music and Sound for my nephew's guitar strings. The store and sales representatives are really nice, but what struck me as more impressive is how knowledgeable they are. Not to mention how personable. My nephew takes lessons here as well and really shows an enthusiasm to guitar. I don't have any need for music gear, except for the occasional birthday or holiday purchase for my nephew, but I will use AND recommend Hollowood's online store to anyone I hear of looking for music equipment.

I like Hollowood Music and Sound because when you go to the store, you have plenty of in-stock items to choose from, and the customer service is always very good. They never push you into a sale, and work very hard to give the best price possible. Their repair service is good, and I also use their instrument rental service for my kids. It's a good hometown business that's looks after you. Not a typical retail giant that could care less.

I have been shopping around for recording equipment and found what I was looking for in several different music stores, but Hollowood Music and Sound gave me the best deal. My Boss BR-1600CD Digital Recording Studio was priced at $1,350 and up almost everywhere I went. Hollowood's sale price was $1,195 and I didn't even have to fight the price down. While I was there I also checked out their other gear and noticed how they offer better bargains all around. They have tons of in-stock items to chose from too.

I found that Hollowood's has more to chose from than most of the local music stores in PIttsburgh. Their selection was not only great, but they had a wide variety of brand name gear to chose from. You can't miss the prices either! They are competitively low compared to most around the area AND online.

Hollowood Music and Sound advertises for having prices too low to record. IT'S TRUE! I can't believe they can offer music gear for these prices! Check em out before you pay too much somewhere else! By the way, the online store rocks too!

I love this store! Lot's of guitars and accessories to choose from, and I got an incredible deal on my amp too. I've heard great things about the Hollowood Music Academy and am signing on for classes...I'll keep those that read these reviews posted on whether it lives up to the hype. I know the store does, so I expect nothing less!

Hollowood's is the GO-TO spot in PA!! Tons of guitars, keyboards, drums, amps, accessories and more. The prices are right and the Layaway plan is even better! Check the store out, but don't forget the online store, which rocks too with awesome videos, products, sales and TONS more.
