Great spot. Great food. Great ambiance for happy hour or other. I've been going to this place since it opened in end of september. Started off as more of a Japanese izakaya bar with DJ music. The concept has morphed a bit since that

I've eaten at Sushi Maki several times and just tried this joint for the first time. I was very impressed, being from philly where there is a sushi joint on every block and in every strip mall, finding good sushi can be tough. This place

We had dinner there after a show and all I can say is Amazing!!!
They have a huge selection of sake with every flavor nuance imaginable.
The sushi and sashimi is out of this world. I have never seen such a beautiful plating of food. Almost too pretty to eat.

Enjoy fresh sushi at Sakeya (Japanese bar & bistro). Located in the Theatre District, this establishment is a true IZAKAYA: a lounge offering an extensive sake selection and a host of dishes from traditional Japanese to modern, including a full sushi bar. Sakeya's kitchen is open until 2:00 a.m. Thursday through Saturday and until midnight Sundays to Wednesdays. We also boast covered, heated outdoor dining on our raised balcony. Delight in a delicious dinner before--or drinks after--your evening play or concert. We are two blocks (or less) from the major Broad Street theaters and musical venues. We host our Happy Hour every day between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. Join us Mondays or Tuesdays for $1.00 domestic beers all night. Live DJ's spin on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Sakeya is also available for corporate functions and private parties. Or, let us cater your next event!
