The lasagne, the lasagne, and did I mention the lasagne?! Santino's is the brightest restaurant to appear in our area in a long time. Their menu is always filled with the most delicious and creative dishes! We've tried almost everything on their menu at least once now....but I keep going back to that heavenly lasagne! Thin layers of cheese and sauce between the most light and soft pasta sheets, unbearably yummy!!! Plus, the service is perfect!! A night out at Santino's is a night to remember.

Party of 7 made prior reservations only to arrive and our table had been given to a walk in party of 6. We had to wait for a cramped table to be set up. We placed our order at 6:15 and at 7:30 we were wondering were our food was. The waitress kept saying "A few more minutes" and when we got upset another waitress began laughing. By the time we finally got our meals at 7:35, I was no longer hungry and my birthday celebration was ruined. The food was good but I wouldn't return there if it were the last restaurant on earth!

Food took a bit of time to come out after we ordered but for what we ordered it was totally worth the wait. Fresh, clean and the pasta was not overcooked. It seemed like the chef created each plate personally. The place was well kept and clean. My issues were the cold ??freshly brewed coffee?, desserts were so-so, the utensils looked like they came from the school cafeteria, and the waitress seemed unsure - at times nervous. If you offer great food with entrees that can cost over $20 a plate a real cloth napkin would add more class.

Santinos is by far my favorite Italian restaurant! You get a choice of sauces for your pasta; friendly, prompt service, a full bar in a family atmosphere, plus the upstairs room with another bar, TV and a small stage for kareoke and other music on occasion. Prices are very reasonable. My wife used to cook professionally (Il Camino, Leominster MA) and she agrees. My only criticism is that the salads that go with the dinners could be a bit more generous. Hey, lettuce is cheap, right?

I was not impressed at all. we got the food almost 45 minutes after we ordered, the food was stone cold and the service was terrible. we were kept company during the long wait by the dead flies on the window. the food was not worth the wait, or the arm and leg we paid for it. i have told many people about the restaurant and they all agree and had similar experiences.

My wife and I decided we would try this new place we had heard about a little while ago because we had heard nothing but good things about it. When we arrived we were seated next to a window that had a few dead bugs on the sill. Enough to make you lose your appetite. They might want to try making sure things are clean and that goes for the silverware too that looked like it was left to air dry cause it was spotty with detergent. You think for the money they charge at this place they would at least make sure the place is pleasant enough to eat at. The food is a whole other thing of its own. We had garlic bread for an appetizer and it was extremly salty. I almost thought my tongue was on fire. The veal saltimbocca is extremely pricey and honestly ive had better and it was cheaper. If you want good italian food this is probably not the place you want to go. To put it politely we will not be returning, end of story.

I went to Santino's for my birthday with my husband and was not impressed with anything from the moment we walked in.We were not greeted at all when we stepped in or when we were seated.
Our server was extremely quiet and made no suggestions or introduced herself. I really wanted to try the veal saltimbocca but they were out of that.So we had the bruschetta and the veal braciola. The bruschetta was loaded with way too much garlic, too much tomatoes and the bread was soft. The veal was overcooked and where is the freshly grated Parmesan cheese?? The bread that was served before the main course tasted like it came out of a microwave. The oil dipping sauce was good though.
This restaurant could make small changes that would make a big improvement. There were only two servers on who clearly looked flustered, the waitress was reaching over guests to serve others drinks, the place smelled musty, our table was wobbly, water was not good..the list could go on.
With the experience I had based on my visit I would not return or recommend anyone to eat at Santino's.
First impressions are everything!!

We just stopped in for drinks and appetizers before a function and WOW! We were welcomed by the smell of heaven and greeted warmly by the hostess who welcomed our request to sit up stairs in the bar area. The wait staff was very friendly, attended to our needs, and had a sense of humor with our group which is essential. Very good portions for the price and a great wine list. We just had appetizers - brushetta is out of this world - but will surely be returning to enjoy dinner very soon. Already recommending to friends and family.

When I first walked into Santino's it was like walking into a small place on Hanover Street in Boston's North End. The family-owned and operated restaurant easily took care of my large family of six in a pleasant, fun evening. The staff were attentive without hovering, we were told to relax like we were at home. We relaxed with a few appetizers, some salads then our main course. The food was terrific, large portions that were nice and hot when they arrived. The chef has a few recipies that I haven't seen before that were spot-on. But don't forget to leave some room for dessert.

Having dined in the North End on a regular basis, Santino's is as good if not better. We were on a trip back from N.H. and we noticed the restaurant, so we decided to try it. The quantity, of the food and atmosphere of Santino's was far better than any North End eatery. The whole experience was super and we will return to relax with a bottle of wine and fine authentic Italian food, and enough to take home for another meal.
