First of all let me just say i HATE their customer service line. It takes Forever to reach someone and then another lifetime to get done with them. I have just cancelled them because they were going to charge me double to add our son with a permit. I faxed over the cancellation notice and they claimed they never received it 4 days later. I just resent and had to wait another 20 minutes to make sure they got it. Who knows how long it will take to get my money back.

I went on their website to get an idea what SR22 would cost, as soon as I logged off I got an email, from Letecia, advising "I found you a lower quote" call me, so I did and I bound coverage with her, well turns out I had already satisfied this requirement, with the S.O.S., so I called to advise that the state rejected coverage and I would like a refund and Letecia requested a fax requesting coverage be cancelled, so I complied. I followed up with an email on 6/10 "Hi Leticia, I sent you a fax, requesting cancelation of my SR22 insurance, please confirm receipt and amount you will be refunding to my account. Thanks". On 6/13 I had to send another email "Letecia, Please advise". On 6/13 she replied "Good Morning, I did receive your cancellation letter and it is currently being processed. In about a week or so we will be able to let you know exactly your amount to be refunded. Thanks" On 7/7 I emailed her "Letecia, Please advise on the amount of my refund and how it will be given, by mail, credit my account, etc." On 7/8 I sent another "Letecia, Please advise." On 7/8 she replied "Good Morning! Your refund should ariving within the next 7-10 business days. It will be mailed out today." NOTICE she did not reply with the amount, so I called her and she advised that u/w would have to get that info, I said "well please get that info as I requested, she advise $161.00. When I looked to see that I paid $177.00 I sent her another email "Leticia, If I am not mistaking I paid Insure On The Spot $177.00, why would my refund only be $161.00 when the DMV declined the coverage, therefore, It should be cancelled FLAT!!" and here is her reply "Joyce,The Insurance company still had NON OWNERS coverage in your policy. Meaning you were able to drive any vehicle that was not registered in your household and be covered for liability only. Thanks" DOES THIS MAKE ANY SENSE when I requested cancellation 7 days after the policy was bound? I am running out of space, needless to say very shady company. I know it's only a few bucks but I work hard for my money, cut coupons for $.50 and they don't want to eat it so it's not just me being frugel. They will get back to you to bound coverage but if you want a refund they claim they didnt't get your email, although, this was a flowing string. Hhhhhmmm?

Thanks

There is not enough time in the rest of my life to write all the problems with this Company, but I'll try to write a brief synopsis:

Customer Service: This Company likes to send you the bill and related cancellation notices after the due date of your monthly premium payment has passed. Just another way to get to make you have to call over the phone and pay, where they get to charge you a processing fee. Also, I'm pretty sure the scumbags at this Company are writing down your credit card number to use to buy cigarettes and cheap beer for the office.

An easy way to judge the character of this Company is by the fact that these sleaze bags write glowing reviews about the Company on here - completely fake, untrue, and dishonest.

Claims: My brother is covered under my insurance with Insure on the Spot, and he was involved in a small accident almost three years ago, where the over driver incurred about $400 in damages. Rather than pay the claim, this group of scumbags refused to pay out, to the point where I was receiving notices from the other driver about the non payment and about being ignored by Insure on the Spot. In the end, State Farm had to sue these guys to get the money.

About there years later, I got a notice saying these idiots are dropping me from coverage because of that accident...really timely right?

Better Options: My insurance finally ended today, and I just called State Farm. I honestly do NOT work for State Farm, but they were so polite and I just got coverage that is 100 times better, and $15 cheaper per month, with my dad and brother on the coverage, whereas, with Insure on the Spot it was only me and my brother. So happy I finally got motivated to switch.

Also to the idiot writing about the easy way to call in and pay....uhhh you moron, pretty much any company offers that service, and State Farm offers automatic monthly withdrawals which I just signed up for....you also could just pay your monthly bill via check, unless you're a scumbag that has a history of writing bad checks.

Overall, 0 on a scale of infinity for these clowns.

Pros: Couldn't think of any if my life depended on it

Cons: WHAT A HORRIBLE COMPANY!

Simply the best auto insurance in Chicago. Their web site is great and their quotes are below average.
Great customer service too!... I highly recommend it

Great customer service too!... I highly recommend it

Pros: great prices, quality customer service

Cons: based and focused only in Illinois

.

There pay by phone option works really great for me. I have to work and I don't have time to go find an office during the day so I just pay over the phone. I like that. It's easier.

I got in a car accident over on Wacker this summer and at the time I was driving without insurance. So the court said I had to get an SR22 and then get myself some auto insurance. I wasn't sure who would be willing to insure me with my driving record (not the greatest lemme tell you) but a friend of mine recommended Insure On The Spot on the corner of Belmont and Neva. I walked in and the gal at the counter helped me get an SR22 and car insurance in about 40 minutes. Highly recommended!
