Jethro's BBQ

I think the atmosphere at Jethros is great. It looks down-home like a bbq place should, but has tons of flat screen TVs and appears to be quite clean. Wood beams and a big bar make the place feel open, a big plus for a campus spot.

So, the location is right and the atmosphere works, but heres the real question: what about the barbeque? Pretty darn good if you ask me. I had the brisket melt and smothered it with Jethros Secret Sauce. The meat was tender, the sauce was flavorful and there was the added bonus of cheese. Quite nice. And for an authentic and thoughtful touch, it was all served on a blue & white tin that looked like it was plucked straight from the country.

Not a big fan of barbecue? Jethros also offers other typical sports bar favorites such as nachos, burgers and salads. And what will make any Drake alum happy is that the new campus spot is true to our school and even has menu items named after Spike and Adam Emmenecker. Im already looking forward to stopping there before cheering on the Bulldog boys this year!
