This is a great hotel because it's located right on the water, next door to the SD Convention Center, and walking distance to everything in downtown SD, including Seaport City, Gaslamp, Horton Plaza. Inside the hotel is like a little city. You could get lost just in the lobby. It's nice to go to the pool area because there are so many lounge chairs that you're not having to fight for a good spot. They also have a great restaurant by the pool that offers a great breakfast buffet. Don't worry that it's so close to the trolley line. You can barely hear the trolley from your room. The service is also great. Every worker is "just right". They ask you if you need help, but they don't hover. It's very relaxing at this hotel.

The SD Marriott is right on the water, with great views of the harbor. A wonderful place to stay to unwind or get a little crazy and hit the Gaslamp. Close to everything downtown this is a can't miss. The property and rooms are nice, not spectacular.

This Marriott is one of the largest hotels in San Diego. What a great area and what fantastic service. A huge pro to this hotel would be the area. Seaport villiage is just up the street and gaslamp is just the other way.
