Dog and Cat Spa

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!! I have never had such a horrific experience with a boarding facility or with inadequate/ignorant staff in my life! We initially went because of the web cam so we could see our "baby" while we were away, but after service from inexperienced staff members, a clueless owner and new manager that didn't know simple policies, I will NEVER return. My pet is the baby of my family and I wouldn't want my child exposed to such carelessness. Again, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!

I went to their Burnside location and it was horrible. The staff was cold and unfriendly and actually acted like they wanted the customers to leave. I asked if I could see the boarding facility as I was thinking of boarding my dog there over the holidays, they refused....HUGE red flag in my book! I have worked for a vet for the past 15 years and would NEVER board where they wouldn't let me see the facility.

This is a nice pet store for cat and dog supplies. They have indoor boarding, chain link pens for the dogs, with the promise that they will walk your dog. We left our dog over Thanksgiving weekend 2 years ago and she didn't eat the whole time and wasn't walked for long enough stretches to go to the bathroom. Our poor dog was miserable and wandered around our yard for an hour getting her system cleaned out and working. I will never board her there again.

I have only been here twice, but I really like the changes they've made recently. There's a dedicated cat area in the front now which makes the retail area a bit smaller, but there's good selection nonetheless. I have a Shih-tzu that Jordan is very good at grooming, in the times I've brought her by. I haven't really bought anything else here (other than the grooming), but I hear they have a shuttle service which is convenient, and their rates are some of the best that I've seen in SE Portland.

I brought a rescued standard collie in to be bathed and a low shed treatment done and she came back with her hair all broken off. I told them she needed a non-allergenic shampoo, just to be on the safe side. She had no allergies but I wanted them to use a gentle shampoo, after they were done, she did have an allergic break out! I had to re-bathe her at home!
I would not leave my dog there to be boarded just based on my experience with grooming!

When you first walk in, you notice it's very crowded. Shelves are crammed in the small space, so there's not a lot of room to navigate around people and their pets. The staff was very friendly. However, I requested a specific cut NOT be used on my dog, and yet it was anyway. I feel they should clear out their entry space so people can get to the counter, and hire groomers who are more knowledgable about their craft.

My husband and I recently left both our dog and cat there for one week. It was the second time boarding our dog and the first time was at a different facility. He seemed to have enjoyed himself the first time, but after we picked him up this time he was a wreck. He stunk, and spent the next week acting insecure. It was our first cat boarding experience and we will not repeat. We had to give her a bath three times including one that was only baking soda to get the smell of urine out of her. Not only that, but her white stomach was a light yellow. She is a very clean cat and I am not sure how she managed to get covered in pee. They said she refused to eat, but that they had finally managed to get her to eat something and she had loss two pounds. She spent the first few days back home walking around the house meowing. I will never take my pets here again.

This is a really nice place to take your animal. It is very clean and well layed out. And everyone there was fantastic. We will keep using this spa. I also liked this spa because it was not intimadating

Upon entry of this location you will notice it is very clean, organized and the staff is very friendly.

This location has an area designed for their "Daycare" services with a great play area.

The groomer is knowlegable and easy to speak to and has works well with the animals.

PROS: Good prices for grooming.
