Legends

By luck myself and four of my girlfriends found Legends. We visited a number of places on our trip and found this to be our favorite. We were met with friendly staff and service better than great. The inside is beautiful and it's close to the Empire State Building. Lunch or Dinner is great. After for drinks and dancing is great as well; there is a DJ with music videos on a screen. From oldies to new age music; they've got it all! The food is affordable and the drinks are wonderful as well. It is a must experince for anyone in or going to NY City!

Pros: Service, cleanliness, friendly, tasty! MUST EXPERIENCE!!

Cons: That it is not located in Wisconsin!

This was my first time at Legends after hearing so many good things about it. It definitely did not disappoint. It was a Tuesday night and it had a really nice crowd, good tunes, good vibe etc. The food was EXCELLENT and the service was as well. I have been working in this area for about 10 years and this is honestly the best area restarant around that I have come across and it definitely will be a regular of mine for a long time to come!

I had the best time on St Patrick's Day! The live Irish band was great and really put the crowd in a festive mood. The drinks and apps were great! I got a really cute St Patty's Day shirt too!

Convenient location, located right near Penn Station makes it easy transport.

A great time - music and food is an A+.

I went here for St. Patricks day. They had a good band going and I ate really good "Irish" nachos (criss cut fries with cheese and beef). I'm not exactly sure if that counts as Irish, but I could care less - it was so good, and great with a good Murphy's beer. I had a good time.

I went to this bar a few weeks ago with some of my girlfriends on a Friday afterwork. It's massive compared to most NYC bars. There's 3 floors with 3 different bars. The decor is beautiful, the drinks are amazing (as well as cheap!), and the service is on point. We stayed at the main bar most of the night and our drinks were always full and delicious. We had a combo platter and wings and both were excellent. The best part of this bar is its vibe. It was packed with a lot of afterwork professionals, we met a lot of fun and friendly people.....We had a great time and we'll definitely be back!

This was my 5th trip to this bar and I took 10 friends from work with me this time. Great app,great service,great Music. The DJ videos was brill. This place is very classy for a midtown bar not the usual run of the mill type Irish bar. Great atmosphere,great decor. This is the most happening spot in NYC right now. All my friends loved it and all will be back. Recommend the Chicken with cheese on garlic bread with fries. There was also one great Irish bartender who was funny and very much on the ball.

found a new great hot spot in mid town legends great place to start your night or finish it or hang all night........if you have a group great to stay all night in the lounge area..........has everything you need for a great night out food,atmosphere,crowd,drinks and friendly staff for service and a friendly welcome

went in one friday wit the girls after work had dinner first in the restaurant food was great ,waitstaff very helpful then went upstairs to the lounge area where we had delicous cocktails and chilled out!!! The video dj was brilliant!!! So all in all i highly recommend legends good food good atmosphere and great staff

Great sports bar atmosphere with a classy dining room for an intimate dinner. You could go watch "the game" with some buddies or take your girlfriend out to a nice meal (while secretly keeping up with the rangers score) . The menu has a mix of burgers, and delicious appetizers, but also has classy entrees - fish, steaks, crab etc. Drinks are cheap compared to other midtown eateries. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff is great. Good looking, polite, and personable waitstaff are always there when you need them. Cappuccinos, and deserts are inexpensive and wonderful. Every thing comes out quickly, and you are asked if you need another drink right when you are about to ask for one. Overall great experience, I would recommend it for all types of people.

Great location (MSG and ESB). This place has everything. The bar is lively, great ambviance, great food(for bar food). You can"t get to your table without being greeted by a hostess, Manager, and waiter. This is the place to stop after work or before a Garden event.

We were greated nicely at the door but the service at the table was a disaster. The bar was busy as was the dining room but there was a general air of out of control. Then came the food. You would wonder how could a simple burger get so messed up, greasy soggy fries and an over cooked burger. Maybe the chef took a break halfway through. I would have complained to a manager if there was one around but the air head waitress said he wasn't there. It's a pity that I fell compelled to complain here. Oh well.

Although the Prix Fixe was cheap for $35, the food was horrible. Lobster Bisque was ok. Caesar Salad was literally handed to me on a plate with 5-6 romaine lettuces, uncut, not like any normal caesar salad. How do they expect me to eat it, one lettuce at a time. Steamed Shrimp Stickers tasted like chinese dumplings, but worse! Fried Calamari was more like Sweet & Sour/General Tso' chicken Calamari, gross! Crispy Chicken Dumplings was not bad. Fillet Mignon was not bad, but when asked for mashed potatoes, they said they had none when clearly the original menu has mashed potatoes. What they provided was Potato wedges which was beyond salty. Shrimp Scampi is not the italian style with pasta, but instead with rice, not tasty at all! Chicken Roulade was actually pretty good. The best part of my meal was the dessert, Brownie Sundae!! Never again will I have a Prix Fixe dinner at this place. Maybe I'll go back to try the food on its original menu, but kinda iffy. I guess I shouldn't complain since its only $35, but I wanted to share with everyone else in case you decide to order something I've already tried.

I found this place the other night as I was coming form MSG with some of my friends. This place has a beautiful huge bar. As the night went on the place filled up, then the VJ came on and the place was rocking. We ordered a few plates of apps between us and they were good. I'm going back here soon to sit down for a proper dinner. The Empire State Building is right across the street, you can not go wrong.

Legends is a great new restaurant and upscale sports bar in midtown. The bar itself is beautiful with a very warm atmosphere, offering three different floors, each having many large screen tvs. Staff is great and food is great. I HIGHLY recommend this place for a few drinks after work, football/brunch on Sundays or a great meal.

Too bad such a nice setting has nothing else to offer. Terrible food -- overcooked pasta, tasteless appetizers, cardboard chicken. Guess if one drinks enough, they wouldn't mind the lack of customer courtesy by both management and staff, some of whose rude and cocky attitudes are inexcusable. The bartenders were efficient and pleasant enough, so for a quick after-work drink it's okay as prices are reasonable for the area. Otherwise, remember you get what you pay for. My advice -- go elsewhere.

This bar is very spacious and elegantly decorated. I love the main floor bar?it?s huge!!! The appetizers are really good for bar food. I just went there for Halloween and had a blast! Definitely worth going above 14th St for!

Close to the Path and subways, Fantastic burgers and apps are tasty and creative. It is also a sports lovers dream...big screens everywhere. Get there right after work and sit in one of the comfy chairs on the balcony, have some drinks and watch the crowd! A great time!
