The Leaky Roof, A.K.A. The Roof or Leaky, has been a favorite of many since 1947. A place where you can feel at home, rub shoulders with great food seekers, fellow professionals, celebrities, politicians and the occasional rock star or wannabe. We all make up the fabric of the Leaky Roof. Come and see for yourself. Now serving brunch: Sat 11am-2pm & Sun 10am-2pm
This place is close to downtown, but out of the way enough so that you can park without a headache. The food is delicious- I reccomend the burgers! A nice selection of beers, too. The prices are a bit high for bar food, but this is definitely a step up from your average bar,

I stopped by for breakfast this last weekend and omg! What a perfect place on a rainy morning. The fireplace was going, Stumptown coffee brewing, and happy chatter from the rest of the patrons. My server was friendly and attentive even though he had his hands full with dozens of people.
I'm very particular about my hollandaise sauce, and was not disappointed in the slightest after trying the Californian Bennedict (w/ avacado). Though i didn't have much room for it, I had to try a side order of their bicuits and gravy, and the South would be proud!
The meal was delivered in a timely fashion, the menu was well priced, the presentation was elegant but not fussy, and I heard nothing but compliments from departing patrons.
Thank you Leaky, I'll be back!
Pros: food, service, atmosphere, drinks, staff, etc.
Cons: i didn't try them sooner!

terrific. so many innovative takes on the traditional sandwich-and-fries genre. the preparation and presentation of the food are always flawless. the black bean burger is out of sight! (I'm an omnivore)
service is attentive, sincere. so many endearing qualities about this place. within a shabby exterior hides a cozy, modern, classy and clean little pub/restaurant. no disappointments here. rock on!
Pros: food, service, location
Cons: none that I can think of

I met some friends at The Leaky Roof for Happy Hour on Friday night and had a great evening. The service was excellent and the appetizers were very tasty especially the coconut prawns. The environment was very cozy and welcoming. Had a great experience!!
Pros: Service, food, cocktails, and ambience (great for a date night)

We had found The Leaky Roof about three years ago and managed to dine there many times before leaving town for a year on business. This had been one of our favorite restaurants and, for two foodies, one of the things we greatly looked forward to enjoying again when we returned to Portland. Unfortunately, in that year?s time, it has been sold. What was previously a stand out in a city packed with amazing restaurants has degraded into amateurish bar-food. We knew something was awry when we arrived at an almost vacant restaurant on a night where you would previously need reservations. The Guinness was badly poured and served far too cold. Under the previous Irish ownership, it was the best Guinness I had enjoyed outside of Ireland. The meat was not only bland but cold and uncooked in the center. We politely paid our bill after a few bites and went elsewhere for dinner. For those of you who had not been to the Leaky Roof under its previous owners, this is truly a loss for Portland. On a positive note (the only positive note), the staff were very friendly and courteous. Hopefully, they will do well once this restaurant is no longer able to trade on the reputation of the previous owners and eventually closes.
Pros: Service
Cons: Poorly executed bar-food

This place has the best food made with fresh local products. There Black-bean (veggie) burger is enough to quench the hunger of any carnivore. There calamari is great not chewy like other places. Their happy hour is great, along with $2 beers their pours are generous not watered down like most restaurants during happy hour. Its cozy size makes it feel homely along with the great fireplace, the staff is great, friendly and a smile away, and they are not always interrupting and not allowing you to finish your meal. This place is a great place to leave satisfied and almost feel as though u underpaid for such a good experience. A++ for this place?.
C .W. Peppertooth..
Pros: Value of food, drinks, location
Cons: a bit small.

I have been to The Leaky Roof several times and always look forward to going back. The food is fantastic and they pour a perfect pint of Guinness. It's a great place to pull up a chair after work and sit by the fire place while enjoying a hot bowl of Irish stew or fish and chips. The staff are very welcoming and seem to be happy to give fantastic service.
Pros: Fireplace, Food, Guinness

I really like this place. Finally, a true "gastro pub" ? great food, good beers, nice environment. The service is excellent. You feel like they really care and they're prompt and professional.
The happy hour has some killer deals (do yourself a favor and try the coconut prawns). They also have cheap PBR for like two bucks.
I've been there twice for an after-work drink or three, and twice for lunch. Consistently good experience. I've been taking people there as a new "hidden gem" in Portland.
Pros: service, location, parking, intimate
Cons: small, happy hour only till 6pm
