Reviews for Aroma Cuisine of India

Ratings_icons Excellent little Indian brightens the dining landscape of CV

Oh how my husband and I moaned on and on about the lack of good Indian food in the Bay Area, home to thousands of Indian folks. Where they heck were they eating? We suspected they were staying home and cooking because everything we tried was awful and had a canned curry quality to it. Not so with Aroma. They clearly take pride in their cooking and offer some delicious curries, breads and appetizers. My family are largely vegetarian and Aroma offers a complete menu for us including set menu Thali dinners. I like the Mushroom Mattar and the Mattar Paneer. The garlic Nan and the spicier samosas are also lovely. Service is excellent. Atmosphere is intimate. Prices are higher than usual for Indian but well worth it for real saffron rice served by people who care about flavor and presentation. Highly recommend.

Ratings_icons Finally a fun fast-food alternative in Castro Valley

This newcomer to the Castro Valley dining scene offers tasty Indian food in a bright and friendly atmosphere. In addition to the attractive dining room, there is a pleasant outdoor patio perfect for lunch or a summer evening. Portions are large and the menu offers a good range of Indian dishes, including Tandoor oven dishes. Restaurant offers beer and wine as well as soft drinks. Not the best Indian cuisine I've had, but definitely tasty and worth a visit.
