On my wedding day last month, Jen traveled to my mom's home in Puyallup to do my hair, makeup and the hair for 4 of my bridesmaids. I've been going to Jen to have my hair done for the last couple years and was pleasantly surprised to learn that she's a great makeup artist as well! She did an amazing job and my friends and I were all very happy with her work. I'd highly recommend Jen for any wedding or event hair and makeup. And it's definitely a bonus that she's willing to drive almost anywhere. That bit of convenience on my wedding day was invaluable.

Found Jen and Pinup Salon based on reviews here on Citysearch. Another hairdresser had recommended I try a keratin treatment to get rid of frizz. Jen promptly scheduled an appointment and made sure I knew what to expect (and not expect) from the treatment. Jen was easy to talk to, her salon is nicely done, and the result was amazing. Silky smooth hair, no trace of frizz, and easy to manage. Will continue going to Pinup.

Pinup Salon offers a unique one-on-one salone experience. I felt I could sit back, relax, and have a great cut/color without the hassle and the pretentious attitudes that come with most Seattle salons. Jen took the time to listen to what I was looking for, what styles I?ve had in the past, and the vision I have of my hair for the future. She was able to give me exactly what I want. (And ladies, you know that?s not easy to find!)

Another big plus for me is that they?re open 7 days a week. It?s been so easy to find a time that works with my busy schedule. I'm so glad I?ve found this place!

P.S. I love the space she?s in - absolutely adorable and intimate!

I had been coloring my hair black for years, and I wanted a change. after a few emails back an forth, I was confident Jen could solve the problem. I knew it would not be an easy task, but she seemed sure she could do it in my price range and without bleach. after 8 hours and not much change in the color, I was charged more than we talked about, she had resorted to bleaching, and I still had to come back 2 days later for more 'processing' by another stylist! needless to say, months later I am still growing out the mess.

I have pretty simple hair and usually go to SuperCuts, but I was blown away when I tried Jen's salon. It is a cool, relaxing spot to get a haircut and Jen does a great job asking questions and making sure she cuts your hair just right. I would highly recommend Pinup Salon for guys or anyone needing a quality haircut!

Jen's caring and fun attitude makes her salon a great place to go to for a haircut. She is diligent in her work and she continues to take classes as well as teach other hair cutters. I have all sorts of cowlicks that flummox (I don't get to use that word in a sentence very often!) other hair cutters and she was able to deal with them.

Jen, the owner, is a great stylist who listens and is amazing. If you have a bad hair day/month or year, go check out Pinup Salon in West Seattle, right off the West Seattle Bridge. You will be treated well and leave with fabulous, easy to manage hair.

I have had a standing appointment every three weeks at the same barber shop for years. A problem arose when I found out my barber was going to be out of town for 6 weeks over the holidays: what was I to do after three weeks?!?!

I'm very particular about my hair and dread going to new places because inevitably something goes wrong and I end up with an embarrassing haircut for a few weeks. However, instead of flying out of the country to meet my barber on his vacation for a quick trim, I ventured down to Pinup Salon and gave Jen the exact specifications of what I was looking for.

Needless to say, she nailed it! The first time! It was a great experience and I highly recommend it for anyone in the market for a new salon.

The personal touch that the decor and Jenn provide hits you from the moment you enter. Whether it is her infectious smile or warm demeanor, time flies with Jenn. Most importantly, my hair always looks great! You'd be crazy not to branch away from the standard salon experience for Pinup!!

I was tired of going to my hairstylist, telling her I wanted something different, and walking out with the same old cut. Jen was not afraid to consider my face shape, push my comfort zone, and give me a haircut I was truly excited about. Cute, cute, cute and super stylish!

Jen also did my hair for my wedding, and it was fabulous!

I have been practically married to my colorist and stylist from Gene Juarez, I could not have imagined going anywhere else... however, after a number of recommendations, I decided to give Pinup a try. I was not disappointed! The attention Jen gave me was top notch. I had one of her Keratin Smoothing treatments. Not only was I blown away by the result (I can actually leave my long hair to air dry!!) but the service and price was unbeatable. I still think of my "hair-exes" with fondness, but I don't see myself heading back in the near future. Viva Jen and Pinup salon! Go ahead, give it a go, you won't be disappointed!

After going to Jen a few times to cut my hair, I?ve officially decided? she?s the one! After years and years of searching for someone who I can trust with my long locks, Jen has proved to be the most experienced and skilled stylist in Seattle!
I love how she not only listens to exactly what I have to say, but she actually understands the questions and concerns I have with my finicky straight hair. She even spends a fair amount of time (in between our great chat sessions) teaching me how to style my hair and even how gain a new appreciation for what my mane can, and can?t, do. She?s honest, reliable, and extremely personable. Her space is fabulous and cozy! I encourage everyone I know to take the short hop to West Seattle to experience Jen?s magic.

I recently got Jen's Keratin Treatment and I love it. I wanted a professional sleek look and that's exactly what I got. My hair is softer, silkier and shinier than it has ever been and it is incredibly easy to take care of. I basically roll out of bed and it looks like I just got my hair done. Whether it is up, back or down, it looks well put together. The time I am saving on hair styling is realy valuable to me as well! Jen's salon is a fantastic atmosphere with cool music and funky decor and the intimacy of the place makes you feel as if you have your own personal stylist. If you are looking for a different look, the keratin treatment really is an awesome way to go.

I've been going to Jen for over a year now, and she's just fantastic. She's smart and sassy, and really makes you feel welcome in her salon. She's a blast to talk to, or just listen to, or ask advice from. I always leave with my hair looking great, and feeling like I've enjoyed a glass of fine bourbon with an old friend.

Carla has been doing my hair for over 2 years now. She is fantastic! She always listens to me and offers her professional advice. I always leave the salon with a great hairstyle that is exactly what I asked for! I would definately recommend her services! The prices are reasonable and definately worth it!

I had my hair and make up done by Jennifer at a photo studio in downtown Seattle...I was very nervous about getting my photos taken and Jennifer made me feel at ease...she is so down to earth; she has such a great personality!!! I've seen a few of photos and she did an AWESOME job on my hair and make up...wow, didn't know my hair can be fixed (hehe)...so BEAUTIFUL and SASSY!!!

You will love Jen?s fun loving personality just as much as you do the way you look and feel after you leave her salon. I get so many compliments and people asking where I get my hair done since I have been going to Jen. My girlfriend took me into Pin Up Salon and I was sold watching Jen cut her hair. I immediately booked an appointment and the next time I came in; not only did she give me the cut I was looking for but also the best advice for what would work with my hair. My hair looks FABULOUS!! That is all that I hear from everyone. "WOW! I love your hair!" "You look GREAT!" I cannot get over how much I love my hair and I will never let another stylist touch my head. I am constantly playing with it and doing new things because she was able to give me the versatility I desired in a cut. Pin Up Salon is the BEST place to go for a funky, fun atmosphere along with a fun, Fabulous Stylist and an Amazing style.

I love visiting Jen at her cozy little salon. It's the perfect size for her to pamper her clients. Jen does an exceptional job listening to what I want and executing with precision. In addition to my great regular cuts, Jen did my wedding hair. I LOVED it! She helped me pick the perfect style and listened closely to all the nit-picky details I wanted. She also did my bridesmaids' hair. They were both very cautious as they have super curly locks and they are picky about style. They were both so impressed with Jen. One of them actually left her stylist of many years to become a client of Jen's. I send people to PinUp Salon whenever I can, as I KNOW they will be well taken care of!

First, Jen is a friend, however, if she didn't do a great job, I wouldn't go to her. she does such a good job that I often get comments about how great my hair looks. Smaller shop, you won't have to sit with others, smelling or seeing what women go through. As a guy, I don't want to see it and always felt a little out of place at the bigger Salons. But what counts is the quality of the finished product, which has always been high! Jen's personality is tops and ensures an intelligent conversation should you choose. Gives my wife and I an excuse to head toward Alki. Parking is easy with spots available in the parking lot to her shop.

I had a terrifying experience at a salon when I first moved to Seattle. With great trepidation, I tried again and found Jen. I have never looked back. I've tried lots of stylists, and I can't see changing away from the girls at Pinup. They're cool without seeming pretentious, they know their stuff, and most importantly, I always feel (and look) way better once we've finished. The shop is relatively small, but it's easy to get in and out of (meaning it's easy to park there), and it's very close to both the waterfront at Alki and the West Seattle bridge. I definitely recommend you try it out for yourself.

I'm so glad Jennifer is in West Seattle, down on Alki. I get a great haircut and then a nice walk on the beach. I had medium length hair with no body and I asked her to cut it short. She did and I've been getting complements ever since from folks who normally don't say boo to me. She cuts it in a way that gives me more body than I had and I have to admit - I'm "cute". Not bad for a 65 year old. And Jennifer isn't one of those "little miss chatty" beauticians. She knows that she is very skilled, does the job and gets you on your way. I appreciate that.

If you want to relax during your next treatment, you need to try out Pinup. You get to have the entire salon to yourself which is such a luxury in today's chaotic world! I look forward to my 6 week cut/color because I can plan to enjoy some peace and quiet for 2 hours. The owner Jennifer is super helpful about giving me a style that looks great and is easy for me to manage!

I came in for a cut and and instantly fell in love with the place! Carla cut my hair and it was the best cut I have had in a long time. I will never have anyone else cut my hair , I m so glad I found her.
