Tavola Catering

We contacted Jason to discuss his company catering a 50-60 person sit down dinner for our September garden wedding at our home. Jason graciously agreed to come over to hear what we had in mind and to walk us through what would be involved to plan a catered event in a medium-sized house versus a large open-room venue. His expertise, professionalism, patience and attention to detail was invaluable to the success of our event. For example, Jason suggested plating the salads to add a nice tough to a buffet dinner and also minimizing the buffet line. He was also very helpful in the selection of our menu taking into consideration budget, which foods worked well together and logistically for our situation. Jason brought his staff to the house well in advance to walk them through the logistics to ensure they understood when and how everthing would unfold for the dinner. We even had some unexpected guests drop in and Jason's staff didn't miss a beat. They stepped in and took care of everthing so the event came off seamlessly. We got rave reviews from our guests for the service and the food.

Management staff of WorkSource Portland Central wanted to celebrate our 1 year Anniversary as an Integrated 1-Stop Center by providing lunch to our crew.
We wanted to serve different varieties of Lasagna, and Jason was able to accomodate our needs.
Staff commented on the taste of the Classic Lasagna, the Blanco Lasagna, as well as the Roasted Vegetable option.
We would recommend Tavola's to others!!!

We used Tavola for a recent event on short notice. Jason was amazing to work with: comprehensive, attention to detail and very accommodating. Everything went without a hitch. Very generous portions!! Couldn't ask more from a caterer.
Wide variety of menu selections. All food was well prepared and presented. We received many compliments and requests for the name of our caterer.

I am a food snob and was concerned about ordering food for a 40-th birthday party from a place I had never tried. The quality of the food exceeded all my expectations--gourmet, varied, delicious. The service was awesome too. Jason took care of all the coordination with the rentals, was very accommodating with my multiple last-minute changes and additions (on both food and rentals), and generally was very helpful. He even advised me when he thought I was ordering too much food. The event turned out great--everyone raved about the food and I was happy was the service, which allowed me to relax and have fun at the party. Highly recommend!!!

We had our first taste of Tavola as a gift lunch for our office from a vendor. The next time we did a lunch meeting Tavola was our first choice. Jason was very helpful and flexible so that I could stay within my budget (very important right now). Our whole staff raved! There were NO leftovers. The cookie bars were amazing and the guys LOVED the wings! We will definitely use Tavola again. Thanks!

I was referred to Jason at Tavola Catering by another caterer (other too busy and I was late in the season). I was looking for a professional caterer to handle clients lunch. We are based in another state. He was very professional and amazingly accommodating. The day before lunch was to be delivered, Portland had record snow! Streets were closed, businesses we shut down... Jason called and said he would still deliver the food if needed... Our client was closed. Soon enough lunch was finally made on a better date. Our client said it was a wonderful treat. They even sent us pictures for us to drool over. Looked FABULOUS! Well worth the wait. I will definitely be using his services again.

We contacted Jason for a sit down dinner party in our home and from the planning, execution and clean up everything went flawlessly. Jason helped with menu selection and renting tableware. The food was delicious, service was impeccable and they left the kitchen immaculate. All of our guests raved about the appetizers and dinner. Tavola Catering exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend them.

This is the second time our company has used Tavola Catering for a company function & once again, they were awesome! Jason & staff went out of their way to make our event a success. The food was delicious- something for everyone even within the Mediterranean themed cuisine. The presentation was simple & perfect. For this event we used Jason as our bartender & he was a crowd pleaser. Very friendly to all of the guests. I didn?t get ONE complaint about this event! We will defiantly keep Tavola & Jason on our list of preferred vendors.

Tavola Catering (Jason DiGiacomo) catered our annual Christmas party and sit-down dinner. The food and the service was phenomenal, but the most amazing thing is that the Tavola team executed the event with precision and skill despite a foot of unexpected snow and ice! Treacherous driving conditions and a 1/2 mile, steep icy driveway did not prevent the Tavola team from delivering an awesome dinner. The food was truly the best we have ever had for this yearly event and we will absolutely use Tavola catering for all of our future events. For quality and service both, we could not have been more pleased.

Jason catered an event for me this last summer and everything was top notch. It was a get together to celebrate my Dad's life, and was a pretty sensitive situation - as one could imagine. Jason handled everything delicately and professionally all while taking the "food" burden off of our shoulders. Everything tasted fantastic and was beautifully presented. I love that he uses local, organic ingredients whenever possible - shopping at farmers markets around town to get the absolute best for his dishes. Highly recommended!!! I will most certainly call him again!

Tavola Catering is truly fantastic. I primarily use them for work functions...but have also recommended them to friends who have raved about the quality and consistency of the food. Jason is a great chef and also very customer service oriented. prompt. professional. quality. His party trays are truly the best I have ever seen...with unique options and flavors. very impressive. I will continue to use Tavola and recommend them often.

I have hired Jason now for 2 afternoon catering events and have received very positive feedback from our clients. We chose a nice assortment of meats, cheeses, veggies, salads, dips; a clean but creative menu for a group of 40. It was an exceptional spread and we will be using Tavola again for future open houses.

i do a ton of corporate events, from little five person lunches to all day things with 45 people. i use tavola for everything and am so pleased with their service. the food is really wonderful, a definite step-up from the usual catering fare. service is great. presentation is lovely. really fabulous vendor for me.

A friend of mine and I decided to throw a engagement party for a couple. We contacted Tavola and started the process. First, just a basic conversation about what kind of event we wanted to have. Then we started going back and forth about things we liked... things that were in season... things that went well together. The entire time Jason was a great resource. Making suggestions...raining us in when we got a little overboard.

The night of the event, Jason and his crew were not only on time; but worked well with the large number of people that were there. Great food led to a great evening. The only problem we had...the staff was so friendly we wanted them to hang out with us...but they had work to do.

I'll use them again in a heart beat.

I secured Tavola Catering to cater a private party in my home and the food was fantastic - Jason was able to customize the menu to what I had in mind and the fare is always fresh and local. I had never used a caterer before and it was so worth it. The 3-course meal was exceptional, and Jason does a great job of giving the party a run down of the menu beforehand. Jason and team are professional, but easygoing and a nice addition to any party/occasion! Afterwards my guests decided to throw their own dinner party just to use Tavola again. I highly recommend Tavola and I know I will use them in the future.

Tavola Catering is terrific! I highly reccomend Jason and his team. Extremely professional with great follow up. The food is always delicious! I have used Tavola for business meetings and personal parties and it has always worked out above and beyond my expectations. They are also extremely timely, patient with questions, and they even clean up everything when done! Would highly recommend!

My husband and I have used Tavola Catering for several private dinner parties. The service, food and costs were perfect on all accounts. We highly recommend Tavola for any private dinners. The menu was customized to us with lots of help from the head chef Jason DiGiacomo. From running to Costco to get bottled water to setting and serving us top of the line appetizers and gourmet pizza for our children....that lead into the best Italian dinner a guest party of 10 could ever have. He even cleaned up our kitchen.
I have also had the opportunity to work with Tavola Catering for business events as well. From 12 -500 guests. Costs are reasonable, food is great and the service is customized.

I would highly recommend Tavola Catering and Jason DiGiacomo to anyone seeking catering for any private party, business function or major event and beyond.

Tavola continues to be top on my list for catering services. I have used Tavola to cater client meetings and personally in my home. Tavola has consistently delivered great food and impeccable service. Tavola did a wonderful job cooking for an intimate gathering of friends at our home and the food was incredible. It was fun to watch the preparation and then have the chef present to explain the meal to our guests. Our guests were most impressed as well! In the past I have spent an entire day preparing for dinners... from having to shop, prepare, cook and clean... by the end of the night I was exhausted and then never spent time with our guests. Not having to lift a finger was well worth having Tavola, not to mention I could have never come close to preparing such a meal.

In a slightly different atmosphere, I have also used Tavola for catering client meetings. The food is well displayed and everything from plates to silverware is top of the line. Clients are always impressed when we have meetings over Tavola's! These meetings are always more productive and more private than trying to meet in a public restaurant where our conversations can be overheard. Tavola comes in sets up the meal and cleans up afterwards... again saving me time and money.

I have also just so happened to be at a large wine tasting event where I ran in to Tavola who was catering that event. Again, the food was great and their ability to keep up with the crowd was incredible.

From intimate dinner parties of ten people to client meetings of 20 to large events of 300+ people I have witnessed Tavola doing it all!

We have done two parties with Jason of this catering business and he has done a fabulous job. He shows up very early to prepare and sets up a great spread. They are willing to match your needs and personally preference to a tee. They have a great attitude and are professional and dedicated to making a great impact on the event. The food it wonderful and my favorite is the stuffed mushrooms, really all the food is wonderful and there is an explosion of flavor in every bite. This last party we got desserts and they were so wonderful, not too sweet not to boring, great treats to feed your sweet tooth. This company will get you small, big any size job done with a great outcome of satisfaction!
