UNEXPECTED. It's possible the door collectors were overcharging and pocketing the extra money but without at receipt there is no proof. I don't trust this business and deeply regret supporting them with my visit. I would encourage anyone to listen because this could happen to you. We arrived at 10:15pm on Halloween. Cover was established at $20 prior to our arrival and confirmed at $20 once we saw the long line. We waited for 90 minutes before we progressed to the entrance. Upon entering I was asked to pay $30 to enter despite confirmation and understanding that those who were closer to the entrance at 10:30pm and arriving at the entrance as recently as 11:45pm only had to pay $20 admission. If I knew the consequences of failure to arrive at entrance before midnight would result in a 33% increase in admission I would have chosen to wait in line at a more competitive club. I plan to live my life in San Jose, I pay my taxes and bills, I have much responsibility and don't care to see a club exploit patrons when they understand thier freedom to seek competitive venues disappear after midnight. This means those who paid entrance fees at 10pm and stayed until closing time (1:30am) paid $20 for over three hours. Those who paid entrance fees at midnight received the same experience as those arriving at 10pm except they paid $30 and were only allowed to stay for 1.5 hours before the club closed. Shouldn't prices decease. This would all be fair and square if those waiting in line understand these consequences before investing all that time standing in line. This was an executed business decision which surprised anyone in line like I was. I honestly believe that other can likely trreat their patrons better than the way I was treating in regards to a nightclub cover charge. I know that employees of WET would not likely pay 33% more money for services that others are utilizing for twice as long they do in any environment. Image waiting on hold over the phone 90 minutes to rent a hotel room and then discover the price is 33% higher when compared to those who called in a few minutes before you. Then image you're staying the night on the same date as the other callers only you need to check out twice as soon as the other callers. This is similar to what the employee of WET is asking those in line to do. This is one new reason why I don't go to clubs unless a cousin or in-law wants to go out. You gotta wait to get your drinks. You gotta wait in line. You can't talk to people because of the noise. If you have a wife of girlfriend already there's little reason to go to clubs. Feeling younger and watching your girl have fun is the only redeeming factor but once the treatment in the club is poor now you really regret going to clubs. I can guarantee I will reside in San Jose longer than WET remains a business in our city. I will talk to the city of San Jose to pass legislation to require clubs to post signs displaying their cover prices. I will talk to other businesses on First Street and try to accelerate the speed at which a club such as changes their business behavior or shuts down and leaves the city to more respectable business enterprise. Since all businesses must pay taxes to the city. I wonder what the WET tax liability is since there are no receipts documenting cover charge. These people are ripping off their patrons and probably paying less taxes as compared to the profits they aquired on such unexpectedly popular events.

club was not new but recently remodeled, cheaply painted and stairs with sink through carpet.!! Who ever says this club is "CLASSY" must really have no idea what class is. I would say "GHETTO". Vivid still out beats this club in class, hot bartenders, and waitresses.
The drinks are ok. the music is ok. If you dont go with a fun crowd you wont have fun. And forget about the VIP area...it looks like a small dressing rooms with a table in them

This is a new club in San Jose. The lines are really really long after 10:30pm. The bartenders are really friendly and make great drinks. The music is always great and the 3 different dance floors make is so it's not so crowded and you can actually dance.

If you're looking for a good party place in San Jose you won't be disappointed with this spot. It's a the new hot spot in the south bay. Good looking people in a good looking spot. You'll be impressed with the whole layout, from the bathrooms to the Shark Tanks, you'll love it. One caveat, long lines!
