Ratings_icons Church Services is a multi-services provider

Shannon S.

I have been a customer of Church Services for years but have recently used them for plumbing, pesticide, electrical and AC work at my new home. It's nice to go to one service provider for a variety of services. They are timely, dependable, knowledgeable and reputable. I continue to recommend their services.

Ratings_icons Church Services is a good A/C maintenance shop.

William K.

I had an annual maintenance of my air conditioning system.in July 2009. The technician was on time and did a thorough review including recommendations for improved performance. The price was reasonable and I would use them again.

Ratings_icons Flat Rate Pricing

Jim G.

Dear Sandra B.
Thank you for your comments. Customers certainly want to know what a particular job is going to cost them before the work is undertaken. Our popular service policy for plumbing repairs, heating and air conditioning repairs, and electrical repairs here in Houston is to first ascertain what work needs to be done, including parts, to fix a problem that a home owner has.We tell the homeowner what the flat rate cost will be prior to beginning the work. This rate, if approved by the customer, will be the total cost. We waive the service call charge as well. If the customer does not want the work performed, then all we collect is the service call charge. No customer wants to be anxious about what a job will cost, so providing an upfront amount for the repair has been very popular. Customers may have a preconceived idea what something will cost. We have found that 'expensive' means so many different things to different customers. By explaining the work to be done and the cost up front, we have found th

Ratings_icons CHURCH SERVICES QUESTIONABLE

Sandra B.

Expensive is an understatement. They have some questionable business practices, such as using an all inclusive fixed price method for estimates. The result is that you don't know what hourly rate you are paying for labor or how much you are being charged for parts. Instead, make sure that you get a detailed estimate that spells out labor and parts costs. You can look up the cost of parts before negotiating the price.

Ratings_icons Plumbing Problem

Anonymous

Church Services replaced my hot water heater in late 2003. I recently found out that they did not properly reconnect a pipe to my wet bar, it was a pipe that was left open. Fortunately, we do not use our wet bar; but if we did, this problem would have flooded our attic. I am now having to pay another plumber to fix the problem that I paid Church Services to do in 2003. They are expensive and with the quality of work that I received, I would not recommend them.

Ratings_icons our bees are gone

We had a bee hive in a tree that needed to go away. The technician was very courteous and good at what he did. All the bees died within a week and we no longer have children coming in crying with bee stings.

Ratings_icons WHAT A GREAT COMPANY

truman1316

I have used alot of folks over the years, but these people are the best I've come across. We first had an a/c problem from another company and had used Churches for Plumbing, so we called to see if they could come out to look at our a/c unit. They were there within an hour. They fixed what the other company has messed up and we were happy campers again. Again today we had electrical, plumbing and a/c repair out at the same time and again they came when they said they would, fixed everthing I asked them to do and cleaned up after themselves. What more can a customer ask for. There the best!!

Pros: The best people

Ratings_icons Church Services are Fabulous!

kp6758

My evaporator coil went out on my 3 year old a/c unit. I called one company out who advised me that it would take 2-3 weeks to get the warranted part in and would still cost $950. I met a rep from Church Services 2 weeks later and found they could do the same work for $750 and have it done the next day. When the rep inspected my unit, he found the evaporator coil installed was not a Trane and did not match the outside unit. He still wanted to help me in order to prevent me from paying $950, and he offered to review with his management to help me. They agreed to still do the work for $750! This was great, however, I was able to use the information the rep gave me and contacted my original builder. I complained that I did not get the a/c evaporator coil that I paid for and I quoted the info I got from Church Services, which was 100% correct. My builder then agreed to replace the coil for FREE! Thanks to Church Services, I was able to save $950! Can't get any better than that!

Pros: Honest, fair, knowledgeable, and great work!

Cons: Can't think of one

Repairman came out, went up in attic and informed my sister who had come over to let him in that I had something burned out in my AC, listed needed repairs, but the was unable to answer her very well informed questions. We are women who, like most women, have taken care of ourselves lives and the lives of others. She told him we would get back to him and I called Clark Mechanical. The repairman put back together the mess made in my attic and the repairs cost me $139.00, not over $400.00 by Church.

Got home on Friday night to find my house sweltering. Called Church Services who sent a technician that evening and discovered my compressor was gone. They came back Saturday morning to install a loaner condensor for me until they could come back later in the week to install my new Trane. The technician and install crew were professional and courteous. I highly recommend Church Services.

Pros: Professional company

Cons: none
