Serving the social dining and entertainment needs of a diverse clientele, Paddy Whacks is your neighborhood Irish pub, and they strive to satisfy. With steamy samplers and soups, salads and traditional pub food such as fish and chips and shepherd's pie, the fare is fine for young and old. A huge selection of draught beers, bottled beers, domestics and imports alike stand alongside smooth wood, simple decor and bar stools. On Fridays and Saturdays, a house DJ spins all your favorite dance tunes, and local bands add flare to the stage during happy hour. Paddy Whacks can accommodate private parties up to 200 guests comfortably, and their food and drink packages are sure to please every palette. Find yourself at home within the walls of this Philadelphia bar. Laugh, hear music, meet friends and indulge in a culture all its own at Paddy Whacks-your neighborhood Irish pub.
I would recommend this Pub to anyone in the area. The staff was very friendly and made us feel like family. Great selection of draft beer and imports. Can't wait to go back for St. Patrick's day celebration. A great place to meet old friends and make new ones.

My friends and I come here once in awhile for the happy hour or beer specials. It's usually dead on weeknights but crowded (mainly with younger kids from the burbs or NJ) on weekends. The inside is nice, big, clean but not really "cozy". The staff is not all that friendly. They rarely say "hi" or even smile or say "thanks." If they had a more welcoming staff, I'd go more often. Maybe it's cause they're a chain bar but it doesn't have that friendly, local beer feel.
Pros: Good specials
Cons: Staff
