I recently went to Columbia Rovers for the first time. I was very impressed with their service. I had my family and while the oil was changed we walked a couple blocks to NW 23rd and had lunch. By the time we were done, the service was done. Good location and easy to find.

I greatly appreciate the customer care that they provide me and my Rover with each visit. Recommending preventative service to keep the Rover on the road trouble-free but not performing services that are unnecessary as I have experienced elsewhere.
For me, it's an 85 mile drive each way to Columbia Rovers and certainly worth it for their expertise in resolving all those quirks that we know and love living with a Rover. How many dealers do you know will schedule service on the customer's schedule - and they have even driven me out to PDX to catch an early morning flight. My Rover always enjoys it's visit to the Columbia Rover Day Spa and so do I. I will continue to recommend them to others.

Had my Rover in for it's 120,000 miles service along with a needed service repair. It was my first try with using them. They were ready to take my car in right away and had it serviced and ready for me by the end of the same day.
Great communication during the entire process and didn't worry at all about my car not being completed correctly. Going to the actual Land Rover Dealership in Portland had become a pain when it took a while to get in and then you never had it completed the same day.
I will continue to use Columbia Rovers for my Land Rover servicing.

My wife and I have been taking our '96 Discovery to Columbia Rovers for about two years. Window and wiper repair, engine diagnostics and radio replacement were done quickly and at a fair price. They even found used body parts so I could do my own repairs. Friendly people, relaxed atmosphere, I'm at home at Columbia Rovers.

I lived out of town in Eugene, but was in Portland for the weekend and dropped my car off due to some unexpected annoyances and they were so accommodating to my special needs. They even gave me and my 1 year old a ride back to my hotel while they worked on it. They gave me a fair price along with exceptional service and I would highly recommend them to anyone. I now live in Portland and it feels so good to know that I found such a reliable and trusted people.

If you are a Land Rover owner and looking for a quality shop with great prices and expert knowledge shop no farther. I just purchased my first Land Rover a 2000 Disco 2. I knew I needed a shop to go over my new Disco and found Columbia Rover to be outstanding. Brent and Josh have taken extra time out of there busy day on several occasions to answer my abundance of questions. Brent even had one of the mechanics go over my Disco to let me know if there were any problems looming. And for this service they didnt charge me a dime.

Really nice guys and knowledgeable too. They have been really great at answering all of my questions as a new Land Rover owner! They are always available to help with getting used parts or new ones and fixing anything that you need. I have been to other shops and waited two weeks for a repair that never got done - not here. Thanks guys!

Last year I was having some hard start problems with my Classic and was searching for the right shop to not only take care of the problem, but to build an all important relationship with. I started out taking it to the "other" shop in town, and after 3 misdiagnosis and shotgunning parts at it, I decided to take it to Brent at Columbia Rovers. What an experience ! They stuck with it and figured it out. They found discounted parts and the labor was quite reasonable. Since then I have had them do some upgrades and other work to my truck with great results. I will not take my truck anywhere else, in fact I drive all the way from Central Oregon to have it worked on. Thankfully they are opening a shop in Bend this year!

Being a Land Rover enthusiast I would say my taste in shops has been sour until I met the fantastic lads at Columbia Rovers. They are extremely polite, give quality service at a fair price and stand behind their work, most importantly. I would recommend this shop to anyone who wants work on their Rover or just want to add a lift or fog lights. These gents will gladly oblige.

I have been a Classic Land Rover enthusiast since I was about 5 years old. At that time my uncle had purchased a 1972 Range Rover Suffix A, which I still has very vivid and fond memories of. I purchased my first Land Rover, a Series III, while living in Scotland some 13 years ago and this past fall I finally got my hands on the Land Rover Defender Ive always wanted so I decided to give Columbia Rovers a call because of their convenient location. I am so glad I did. The level of professionalism and positive attitude that I have experienced at Columbia Rovers has yet to be surpassed. It is very comforting to me as an enthusiast to be dealing with a shop who really knows what they are talking about and who knows a whole lot more than I do. You will not get this kind of care and this level of technical knowledge if you go to a Land Rover dealership or a generic shop. Columbia Rovers have helped me with everything from general maintenance and repairs, electrical wiring clean-up, to full undercarriage rustproofing with Waxoyl. I have been recommending Columbia Rovers to everyone I know that drives a Land Rover. Thank you!

I was referred to Columbia Rovers and greeted with an open shop door and same-day service. Being a lifetime Land Rover owner, thats impossible to find. Brent and Scott took the time to pop the hood and REALLY listen to my issues with my 89 Range Rover Classic, instead of the typical "lets replace everything and hope it works again" mentallitly I previously experienced at PDX rovers. Brent has worked with me on my 2002 Freelander , 2003 Discovery G4 , 2006 L322 Range Rover and my new addition to the family 1989 Range Rover Classic. Not only have I saved A LOT of money compared to previous service shops, but they helped me perform upgrades on my LRs that other shops did not even know exsisted. Thanks Brent, Scott and crew!

Here is our story:
In June of 2008 we became proud owners of a 1995 Land Rover Discovery. We unfortunately knew very little about the vehicle. My husband noticed that the needed to have the Sway-bar on the Land Rover fixed. We called around and found a local tire company in Salem, Oregon (where we live) could give us the best time line and price in town. We were told that it would take a day to fix it, however it actually took four days as we were told we waiting for the parts from the only dealer in Portland that dealt with Land Rovers.
We were so disappointed with the way that the tire company was treated by this dealer in Portland that we were really were not looking forward to taking our vehicle up there to that dealer in Portland, Oregon. I suggested to my husband that since we knew so little about the Discovery, and what needed to be repaired and that unfortunately no one in Salem, OR could help us that we had to find a company other then the one that the tire company had dealt with. My husband agreed and began looking on Craigs List to see if anyone else had any information about Land Rovers and that is where we found Columbia Rovers! We are so happy that we found them. We talked to Ken and Brent at Columbia Rovers. They were both very knowledgeable about our Discovery! They let us know that they would work around our schedule, money, and issues with our vehicle. Not only that they offered to let us drive another Land Rover while they were fixing ours. That meant that we wouldnt have to go out of our way to get another car to rent while they were fixing ours. This really put us at ease especially since we live in Keizer, OR; have two boys and busy schedules. We didnt want to be with out a car. When we got to Portland we were able to find their shop. Everyone was very nice; they helped us by listening to our questions and concerns. Ken kept in contact with us letting us know what was going on with our Discovery and just as they had told us the day the Discovery was to be fixed it was ready and we didnt have to wait for anything. It was wonderful! I am going to call on Columbia Rovers for all of my Land Rover Discovery needs.
In fact Recently our family was driving down I-5 just before the Terwilliger Curves when we blew a tire. Since we didnt know of anyone in the area to call and we unfortunately we dont have AAA I decided to take a chance and call Columbia Rovers. It was a Tuesday evening after 7:00pm and Brent answered the telephone. I was so surprised. I was just going to ask him if he knew of a tow truck company to call, but he asked why I was calling, I told him where we were and about the tire. He said that he could come out and take a look at it because no truck driver in town had the tools that could fix it. I was so impressed. Within 30 min there he was on the ground with my husband changing the tire! It was the most satisfying experience. I cannot begin tell you how impressed our family is with this company. They really care about their customers. So all I can say is that I will always continue to call on Columbia Rovers for all of my Land Rover Discovery needs!

We called with very short notice to get an oil change. Came in at Noon and left the vehicle. We walked 4 blocks to NW 23rd and had a great lunch. Walked back and the vehicle was done. What can I say, the service was great and it was very convenience for me and my family.

Everyone was very friendly, informative, and prompt. They got my 02' Disco. in for its 90K service on short notice along with some unexpected added repairs and completed the job in a day so that I didn't have to go with out my truck. Their prices came in abetter than the local Rover dealer where I had been going. They also offered me a new client discount which was an added bonus. I'll be returning to Columbia Rovers in the future for my truck's maintenance and repair needs. I highly recommend them.

My wife and I have been taking our '96 Discovery to Columbia Rovers for about two years. They have fixed the window risers, wiper motor, and replaced the radio. They have done engine diagnostics, fixed electrical and emissions problems, and even found used body parts so I could do my own repairs. Their work has always been done right, their prices are fair, and the people at Columbia Rovers are always friendly.

The staff was very professional and polite. They were able to fix my vehicle the same day it broke down and they were reasonably priced. I highly recommend this shop!

I've owned a Land Rover for years. I've been to the Dealership and the competition. The only Reason I went into "Columbia" Rovers, was a free oil change coupon stuffed on my Land Rover Discovery Series II.
Despite the creepy, overly pushy sales persona the owner gave me as I brought my car in, I let them get on with the oil change.
First, without my permission, they removed my license plate frame, and slapped on their own without even a thought to ask.
Second, after it was almost over, Brent (owner) came to me to tell me that my head gaskets were leaking profusely, a job PDX Rovers had just done several months before. He also told me that because of the bad head gasket job, my engine was toast, and needed to be replaced. He was very pushy about it, and quoted me $5000 in repairs to fix it all.
After explaining that I knew PDX had done it right, he began to trash talk the competition in a way that absolutely disgusted me. Trash talking the owner, lies about shotgun work, and deceptive diagnoses....
But the truth was, I've known PDX for quite some time, through quite a few other Land Rover owners too. And know them to be among the most trust worthy folks in town. I called him out on the BS, and asked to have my car closed up and removed as quickly as possible. I was done with them.
A few weeks later, I had my Discovery looked at again, and not only found out that there was a lot more to the story behind Columbia than just shady mechanics, but shady business practices as well. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!
Not only were my head gaskets in great shape, but my engine was perfectly fine. Not a leak, broken part, or nothing in sight. Columbia was ready to charge me FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS to do absolutely nothing to my car.
How desperate can you be?
Needless to say, I will never return to Columbia Rovers, and will steer every last Land Rover I see in Portland away from them as well. Portland is too small for a mechanic or anyone to get away with running a business like this...

This is a honest and well run repair service for Land Rover and Mini's. Extremely good service, professional and polite. No run around just straight forward good people. Pricing is fair and the work is back by the owners to the hilt. I highly recommend this shop for anything you need be it oil change to rebuilding your entire vehicle these guys are QUALITY!!
