I'm becoming addicted to this place. I was never a huge massage person before my husband got me a gift card last year for my birthday. I signed up for the membership figuring it would help me relax and it has really worked. I've gone from a once a year massage person to a once every other week and I feel miserable if I have to miss.
I have gone to countless therapist but Massage Envy does not compare to even my worst experiencs in the past. The Massage Envy therapist injuried my neck, talked as if she was a MD! Plus she would not stop talking. Tried to contact corporate office to discuss and have never received a response after several attempts. Bloomingdale location is the worst. I visited a location in Florida which was fabulous, this place shameful.
i joined after my first massage there last week and just got back from my second one. I love the way massage makes me feel but don't often splurge on it because i can't really afford to pay a $120 a massage. The best thing about the place is how affordable it is. I can go two or three times for the price of what I was paying for one massage for the same quality of massage. I Love it!

I've been there four times and all of them were great. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Service is great and the massage is wonderful. About the membership, the front girl inform me everything I needed to know. The deal is that once a month they will charge you $59.00 so this charge is good for either a massage or a facial within the current month that they are making the charge. If you would return in the same month for additional massages, they would be for $39.00 each. If you don't understand the terms or how the membership works, don't sign the papers and rather take the papers with you so you can read them later.

AVOID THIS PLACE!! They do not inform you of terms up front!! If you use one of your PRE-PAID massages outside of some "membership" time, they will harass you and accuse you of being a thief!! Bought six massages... never told of a time limit to use them, and was told by staff it was no big deal to spread them out. Until, I got my last service and was practically chased with pitchforks and called a criminal when I argued that I had pre-paid for six massages and received six. The owner is unreasonable and obviously out for every dime she can squeeze out of customers!! Go to a reputable place that actually provides a service for the money they take from you!!
This was a great massage. I got a gift certificate for mother's day and finally just went and got my massage. The receptionist was friendly and the massage was even better. It went by too quick!! Sarah the therapist was great. I didn't sign the membership but probably will next time.

I am sure the first 2 reviews are by their employees. They charge you $78 for crappy service and their biggest scam is when they talk you into signing their contracts. Never ever sign their contracts unless you have money to throw away or at the least get 2 or 3 massages before signing. I was totally disapponted with their massages and customer service. The biggest scam you can come across.??

Massage Envy is really top notch. From walking in the door to trying to open your eyes after your amazing massage, this is the place you want to spend your time and money.
I have been to several massage establishments, with varying results. I was somewhat doubtful about recieving a 49 massage. I kept thinking to myself, if its that cheap, then im sure that the therapist cant be that skilled either. I WAS 100% wrong and want to share that with the world.
My therapist was amazing. I, myself am a person suffering from fibromyalgia. She knew exactly how to massage my body, and the knowldge that she shared about my illness was even more amazing, it sounded like I was talking to a doctor.
Each time I go I get a massage that makes my body feel so relaxed and gives me the ability to live again. Through her massages I was able to once again start training my horses, horseback riding, and being outdoors. Before I was in pain, in bed or on the couch.
I really recommend this place, the people are really nice and helpful. Plus it is really affordable.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful when I walked in the door. They sat me in the quiet room, gave me water and escorted me to the restroom. The atmoshpere was just right- quiet, relaxing, with soothing music in the background. My therapist was outstanding! I did 90 minute massage and she did deep tissue. Not only did the massage help my back, but it was also very relaxing. It was just a great all around experience. I joined massage envy as a member. I cant wait to go back for my next massage.

This was my first experience at a Massage Envy and I walked away very impressed. My therapist was very attentive to my requests and the price was extremely reasonable. It was one of the best massages I've ever received and also probably the cheapest.

Hi I just want to warn everyone to stay away from this place. they have horrible customer service and the massage was a disaster! She completley went against what I was asking for and was rude to me on top of it. The front desk was super pushy and and still charged me after I was more than dissatisfied!
Massage Envy - Business Mal practice
Please stay away from these frauds.
They lure you into their contracts with false information saying. It will cost you $78 without contract but $39 with contract. What they don't tell you is you have to pay monthly membership charge of $20 which makes it $59 not $39. By the time you know this you must have signed the contract. When you ask them about it any additional massages in the month will cost you $39(nice).
Hassles to get out of the contract:
Get a doc certificate to get out the contract. What kind of sane person will sign the contract if he knows that he has to get a doc certificate to get out of the contract. But they withheld this information to get you sign the contract. The second is move away 25 miles from you current address ( wow so I have to move away to get out of your contract).
When I insisted that I do not like their service and to get me out of their contract they said to get it from other towns. This is real hypocrisy they say they take you out of their contracts when you move away 25 miles but they want you to go other towns to get service in case you don't like service in this town - Great.
Final touch - Their contracts are auto renewed. Incase you are not careful - you are stuck for another cycle.
Please raise your voice against them.
I was given a gift certificate for Massage Envy so I went ahead and used it for one massage plus 20% tip. Later I was told by the very friendly and outgoing receptionist about their membership. Ok, I thought .... BUT what she didn't mention was that I was held accountable for a good 3 months after signing the contract until I can actually be out of it, NOT "30 days after the signing this contract you can cancel". She should not have told me about this when I was feeling good and heavenly after my massage. My mistake.
Fast forward, I'm now 3 months into my contract and only used 2 massages, why? Because the last massage I had left me in terrible pain to where I couldn't even turn my neck to my left.
Please be warned: Do not sign up for the contract, you're better off paying for your massages as you go, it's just the same. They charge $59.00/month BUT you end up paying $79.00 for each massage so what's the discount with a membership?? NOTHING!!!
Pros: Friendly customer service
Cons: Forceful contracts they make you sign
