Best customer service! Had an amazing time
by NYCGirl1
I was there last night for my bday dinner. Everyone at the restaurant was exceptional friendly and sweet. My friend got me a cake from outside and the manger gladly refrigerated the cake for us. Throughout dinner, we had free shots and one of the server came over for a magic trick to wish me happy bday. The food was good too. After all these years celebrating my bday in the city. I think it was the best experience ever

Come here for Brunch!!!!!
by adytris
The white sangria here is unbeleivable - my friends and i have been here for a brunch a few times now and it's a great deal - $18 for any entree with unlimited bloody marys, mimosas and sangria for an hour and a half - not many places have unlimited drunk brunches any more ladies gotta jump on the places that are still doing it!!! As far as the food, the spicy eggs quesadilla is definitely the way to go, and the burger is also spicy and delicious comes topped with jalapeno cream cheese.
Pros: Unlimited bloody marys, sangria and mimosas
Cons: only for 90 minutes :(

Big Let Down
by JamieKimiko
I suppose living in Southern California naturally exposes you to some of the best mexican food north of Mexico. However, Las Chicas Locas, is trying to hard to be trendy without backing it up with good food. They hide behind the guise of being 'authentic' but even the food in Mexico has 100 times more flavor than these overpriced tacos. Even the queso, which is just melted cheese was disappointing. How can you mess up melted cheese? Besides, charging $5 for chips and salsa is a travesty. That is definitely not authentic. The margaritas were awful. We searched for any authentic or familiar taste that we could appreciate but were left hanging and at $15 a pop, definitely skip them. The patio leaves something to be desired. You are continuosly spritzed by the moisture from the air conditioning units that pepper the side of the hotel. Needless to say, if you're looking for great Mexican food experience, I would skip Las Chicas Locas.
Pros: Friendly Wait Staff
Cons: Not so tasty food

Fantasic Lounge
by Tam19
I love th mix of the music and that you can still carry on a conversation.
The food is fantastic! My favorite is definitely the gaucomole and chips, the shrimp diablo and the chicken tacos. Service is great, everyone is very friendly and makes sure that you are taken care of.
I try to meet up with friends here as much as possible because we always have a great time while drinking margarita's.
Pros: Everything!!!

Delicious Fare and Fantastic Service
by gatinha85
I have been to Las Chicas Locas a few times, and anything I've ever tried here has been delicious!!! I get the guacmole every time, which is always fresh and flavorful with a hint of spice. I'm an avocado freak, so I usually start with either the queso and avocado salad or the gazpacho salad - both are fantastic, but i especially love the rich balsamic drizzled on the queso and avocado salad. I generally follow this with the portobello tacos, which are spicy but not overbearingly so. The chili-glazed salmon was also a stand-out dish.
The service is always friendly. The music is on the loud side in keeping with its trendy atmosphere, but it's quiet enough to have a conversation without straining.
I would definitely reccomend this place for parties and large group dinners - the energy level is always high!
Pros: Food, Service and Ambiance

Nice decor - food wasn't that great
by xiphz
Went there with some friends, it was in a very random area with nothing else by it. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and the way the restaurant was set-up with the bar area and outdoor area in the back. The music however was very sporadic and a mix of melodic Mexican tunes and then hard hio-hop and rap, which was random. I would prefer the former mixed with some Buddha Bar or Latin Jazz. The food was not that good and the portions were very small! My friends got the Lobster Tostadas which was $18 and it was three tiny chips with some lobster and sauce on them, granted it was an appetizer but not filling at all. The manager (?) was very nice and friendly and gave us two free rounds of shots, although we would've preferred free appetizers instead! Monday night is not the best night to get drunk! Overall if they revamp the menu and music this place has potential. It should be marketed as a lounge/club or for private parties - will do better.
Pros: Decor, set-up, service, free drinks
Cons: Food, prices, location

by BarryJohn18
I work down the street and heard about a great new spot with an awesome happy hour on draft mexican beer. Had a couple beers and the manager Chris recommended his favorite app from the menu. Lobster tostadas, WOW!!! they are amazing, never would have thought. We will be back later in the week to sit out on the patio if the weather is nice. Maybe Chris will be there he is cute.

Perfect place to gather with Friends!!
by Regina09
I went with friend/colleague last night for late night guacamole since the kitchen is open till midnight, SO AMAZING. Large chunks of avocado mixed with salt, a little tomato/cilantro/onion. . . my friend doesn't even like tomato/onion in her guacamole and she is addicted to this stuff. This place has only been open for a couple months and my friend comes here at least once a week!!! Service was fun and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cool lounge vibe without going all the way down to soho!!
Pros: LOVE THE BLUSHING CHICA MARGARITA!!

8 Thumbs Up!
by ddmcc5
I caught wind of its opening through an office colleague and decided to check it out. I was surprised because it is right next door to my office and as per usual I don?t pay too close attention to things in this area.
I am glad to write this review because I really enjoyed myself.
We were 4 total, the colleague that suggested it and two other office friends. We all shared the good time equally. The happy hour apps were very delicious and our sangria drinks h*t the spot.
I wonder if they'll have white sangria once this horrible winter ends...hint!!!!!! I?d place bets on the outside being great once it?s warm.
8 thumbs up!
Pros: chill

valentines!
by danarita
I ate with my boyfriend on Valentine's Day. We're definately glad we did. We normally don't risk big nights on new restaurants but a friend of ours suggested it.
For a non assuming location and simple decor, the food was extremely delicious. I had the salmon and my boyfriend the filet. We didn't have room for desert but we really enjoyed the food and sangria.
We'll definately go back again.
Pros: Good food and drink
Cons: none

LCL Margaritas...the Ultimate Indulgence!!!
by coraline
I went out with a friend on Friday night and we were looking for a place to grab a few drinks. Somehow we ended up walking by Las Chicas Locas and neither of us had ever heard of it before, but it had a nice sign and looked promising. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw the lounge area, which had really comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere. Margaritas are always my drink of choice, so I ordered a regular and my friend tried the blushing chica--they were both AMAZING. The regular margarita was perfect (have it without salt!) and had no sour mix filler--it was full of fresh lime and not too sweet. The blushing chica was new to both of us, but had its own distinctive flavor and sweetness. It was like a mix between a margarita and a cosmo martini and it was awesome. I highly recommend this place for the margaritas and can't wait to go back to try the food!
Pros: Margaritas

delicious
by margaritagirly
I came with colleagues from work after reading a review in AMNY a week or so back. All we'd been discussing at the office was how wretched the weather this winter has been. The general agreement was that summer needs to get here asap.
In honor of the summery spirit, and stuck in the winter, we came for margaritas.
It was fantastic. Apparently they use fresh limes - well worth it and the nibbles were good. I recommend the guac and shrimp. What a great time.
Pros: good times

The margaritas are really good, but I'd say the banana bread pudding is the best thing to happen to me in Chelsea since I met my husband, Dave.
Pros: Las Chicas Locas

a music connoisseur
by cjscore
Yes, the margarita is choice...what made me jump was a conversation while I played sit and sip at the bar. Out of the blue a youngish friendly approaches me. He was cordial and inquisitive, which in unchecked spurts can really irritate me. But it didn?t this time, and I?m glad because had I cut the conversation short I would have missed the best part.
In the subtlest of ways and towards the end of our conversation I noted the interesting music, to which he responds gleefully. Remember, I brought it up, not him. It was not until then that he said DJ Premier as being responsible for running the list. At that point, I asked of him to repeat himself, thinking I misheard or was too tired from the day.
Yup. To my surprise and thrill, I heard correct.
As an aside, I admit the beats were eclectic but they also had a working familiarity that rationalized and grounded them. And I don't brag much but will confidently assert my hip-hop prowess and musical knowledge that spans the better half of the 70s up through today.
Anyway, you never can be sure what the case is, but this guy (owner as I learned), seemed honest enough and I left believing it to be the case. I also think the manner in which he came out with it was not consistent with those words of true serial-name droppers.
If you don?t believe me, there?s not much more I can do. I?m just posting this because I thought it worth someone?s while aside from my own. And if it turns out differently, I did make sure to mention first and foremost that the margaritas are choice.
John

Chill little spot with comfortable chairs [brown buckets delight].
We were totally into the music and I could talk with my girlfriends without them straining to hear me. The Margarita recommendation was on point.

Kudos Las Chicas Locas. I lived in Mexico for a few years as a journalist and this place is the real deal. I haven?t sampled all food? ?yet?but the queso fondito is superb and the chef's churros with spiced hot chocolate is amazing.
