Sweet Julia's

I found Sweet Julia's when I needed a cakes for my October 2009 wedding. Her prices were slightly below her competitors and the pictures online were gorgeous so I thought I would check her out!! Our meeting was extremely well organized, her customer service was exceptional, she did not scrimp on the tasting cakes either - they were huge! She was very willing to offer advice, flavor combinations, design ideas -- everything. I decided to go with Julia because she truly "wowed" me! I made the right choice! My wedding cake was stunning!!! Everyone commented on how beautiful it was. She created gum paste fall leaves and mums for the cake that looked like real leaves and flowers! And... the room was so quite when people were eating the cake... because everyone was so focused on how delicious it was! Julia also made a custom groom's cake for us using the Pittsburgh Penguins logo for the design. She did a spectacular job recreating the logo and even added a beautful gold cording on the outside of the cake. My groom was in awe of the cake and didn't want to cut it because he loved it so much!!! It was also.... unbelievable delicious!!! THANK YOU JULIA!!!!!!

I was thrilled with the baby shower cake that Sweet Julia's did for me. With beautiful details like stripes and sparkly pink accents and perfect little baby shoes on top. This cake received a lot of attention at the shower. Not only was it beautiful, but it tasted delicious and the price was reasonable.

I am so amazed every time I get a cake from Julia-she out does herself with every one. Not only are they masterpieces, they are delicious! She creates exactly what you ask for, and also has great ideas if you need her help! You never know if someone will be as pleased as you are when you recommend a company, but I have never had to worry about that with Julia's cakes. It was a sad day when she moved from Charleston. Raleigh, you are very lucky-just wait!

I ordered a cake from Julia when she was out in Asheville. At that time, I wanted a cake to surprise my husband for our anniversary. Not only did she work with me to make a beautiful cake with gumpaste flowers that were our wedding flowers, but she made the cake with very little notice. It tasted absolutely wonderful! We got an almond flavored cake soaked in amaretto with a fondant frosting. I am not a huge cake fan, but Julia's cake was absolutely incredible! And it was affordable as well. We loved it so much that we ordered another one a week later for my father-in-law's birthday. Now that we are back in our hometown of Durham, I'm thrilled that Julia is moving to Raleigh, and she will certainly have our business again!

I wanted to purchase some cookie bouquets as holiday gifts for my best clients last year. I wanted them to be eye-catching, delicious, and promote my business by using my logo.

Sweet Julia's created the most amazing cookie bouquets with perfectly recreated logo cookies surrounded by snowmen and snowflakes that looked like pieces of art. When I delivered the bouquets, my clients were in awe and groups of people gathered around the bouquet to admire it. I was so pleasantly surprised.

What happened afterwards was even more astounding. I received calls from my clients saying that the cookies were positively delicious. Usually decorated cookies taste like cardboard, but these are so good you have to order extras for yourself.

Sweet Julia's provided extremely prompt service and created my bouquets exactly to my specifications. The bouquets were mailed to me completely protected from breakage, and my clients received a very memorable gift.

Exceptional!

Wow! That is the best way to describe Julia's cakes! As you can see from my title above, I have purchased many cakes and cookies from her - all which taste as good as they look! She does an amazing job of creating whatever kind of cake you need - no matter how crazy an idea you may have. She made both of my son's (and my) birthdays perfect with the addition of her cakes and cookie party favors. I would STRONGLY suggest her cakes & cookies for any occasion!!!

I have a children's party planning business in Asheville, NC and chose Sweet Julia's to be my primary cake maker. She made lot of cakes for me and they were absolutely fantastic. Not only did they look wonderful, they tasted exceptional. Julia has unbelievable talent. I was sad to see her and her talent move away.
