My daughter purchased her dress from Traditions and has had a great experience. The sales people have been terrific through the whole process. I can highly recommend this store to anyone shopping for a bridal gown. We went to 2 other stores in Raleigh and were basically ignored. Traditions got our business.

I had a very similar experience to many of the commentors. I came here because the dresses were beautiful and I had heard good things about it. I liked that all of the dresses were out on the sales floor and that you could look at them, as opposed to some other boutiques I went to, where they asked what you like and what your budget is and go pick out dresses for you.
However, beyond the beautiful dresses, I was unimpressed with the service. I didn't find the staff particularly warm and helpful. Their tailor, Maria, does great work, but I had to argue with both her and Anna about some of the alterations I wanted done. THEN when the alterations I had wanted were done (just to be taken in more at the top and around the waist and hips, which they argued had been left out to "give me an hourglass figure") they acted like it had been their idea all along. I will say, however, that the dress turned out beautifully.
I honestly didn't feel that the quality of the service matched the amount that I was paying for the dress.

I had the unfortunate experience of buying my wedding dress at Traditions by Anna. I overlooked the snobby salespeople on the date of my purchase because I really wanted a Priscilla of Boston dress and they are the only place in Raleigh where I could find the one I wanted. Just a few days after my purchase, I learned that I paid about 10% more for this dress than I would have anywhere else, including the Priscilla of Boston stores. As soon as my dress came in, I was informed that I had only one week to pay for the remainder of the dress (I had put half down). When I told them I was coming from out of town and that this would place a burden on me to rearrange my plans to come see the dress, they were extremely rude and did not extend the deadline, which would have resulted in a 15% charge to my account. After rearranging my schedule to accommodate their deadline, I was dismayed to see that the dress looked different from the sample color I had tried on. I understand that this was not a specific result of anything done by Traditions, but they were extremely rude to me about my issue with the dress, making me feel like I had no choice but to pay for the remainder of the dress, which I did. Finally, I learned that the ONLY type of bustle that they do in-house is the French bustle. Since I want an American bustle, I am in the position of having to find a seamstress on my own and will thus not be able to take advantage of the two pressings and storage that I had factored into advantages of buying with Traditions.

In short, this shop is overpriced, has snobby salespeople, will not work with you, and has unreasonable payment policies. Thanks to them, I will be walking down the aisle in a dress that I paid too much of my hard earned money for and that I do not completely love. Save yourself some heartache and do not go here. I know they may have some designers that are not available in other Raleigh bridal shops, but it would be well worth a trip out of town to buy from another place.

I just returned from Traditions by Anna after my first dress fitting. I purchased my dress during a walk-in at a very busy time, though the friendly staff found the time and space for me. For my follow-up dress fitting, they were ready for me, on time, with my dresses in room. Maria, the tailor, is a sweetheart! She is creative, relaxed, and approachable. Anna was present throughout the store, making all customers comfortable and welcome. I would certainly recommend this store if you're looking for quality. Thank you Traditions!

One of my friends is getting married and decided to have a short engagement. Her and her fiance needed to have a two month engagement because of their school and work schedule. One of the sales people at traditions asked her if she was pregnant and if that is why they are having a short engagement. That is the most rude thing I have heard and I dont' even care if you're family, you dont say that to a bride. Someone working in the wedding industry should know that! I will never recommend this rude place!
