This is a nice place to shop. Brass plum on the lower level has better prices than the rest of the store. There is a good coffee shop right next to brass plum that makes very expensive tasty concoctions. They have plenty of cosmetic counters to choose from on the top floor and a great selection of handbags!
The customer care here sets Nordstorm apart from other stores for me.
I have had been fortunate to have helpful salespeople who truly seem to enjoy working with customers.
The only reason I cannot post five stars is because I think some merchandise is simply priced too high.
Returns are a breeze and that is appreciated.
On Mon the 17th of May, I called from Hawaii, the Pleasanton store, 3 different times and got a recording. (during business hours) Is business so good that phone orders are not necessary? I've been a very good customer since 1980 and am finding assistance recently, extremely poor. Today, I was asked for my drivers license number as if I were a criminal, from another Nordstrom store in Honolulu. To send a light weight swim top to another island from there, I would be charged $15.00 for USP. If it needed returning, I would be required to pay postage again. You, Nordstrom, have been a special favorite place to shop but I'm having second thoughts. I hope you managers pick up on this service and do something about it or you may be losing lots of business.
Don't get me wrong. I LOVE NORDSTROM. This is the only store i shop in and will continue to shop in since they have great customer service.
***HOWEVER, this review is for one particular sales associate at the Savvy department in Nordstrom (Stoneridge), hence, giving it ZERO STARS if I could. For those of you who arent familiar with Savvy, it's on the 2nd floor and is for Women's clothing - usually the latest and trendiest styles. Anyway, for those of you who shop here, DO NOT GO TO THE SALES ASSOCIATE NAMED, "LEE." She is the Asian lady on the floor and she is the manager. However, she is the RUDEST associate you will ever meet. She is snooty, she doesnt mind her own business, she gives so much attitude, and she is NOT helpful at all.
I am a very loyal customer at the Savvy department. I shop at Savvy almost every week and I know most of the associates at Savvy at most Nordstrom locations. They are usually VERY HELPFUL AND GREAT.
****BUT NOT, "Lee." I've heard bad reviews about her from friends of mine who shop at this location. I've also heard bad reviews about her from her fellow associates. And I didnt realize how RUDE she is until recently when I was unfortunate enough to deal with her. DO NOT GO TO HER. I am never doing business with her ever again. She needs to realize that she ONLY WORKS there. Us, customers, are the ones BUYING and if we CHOOSE to purchase from her, then she gets commission off of that. Because of that, she NEEDS TO be courteous. She makes Customer Service for Nordstrom look awful, she shouldnt even work there. She seriously ruins Nordstrom's reputation.
****If you want good customer service at Nordstrom (savvy department), do not deal with the asian lady on the floor named, "Lee."
But if you dont mind dealing with someone snooty and UNHELPFUL, then by all means go to her.
This is merely a reflection of my encounter with her, as well as other people's encounter with her. Thanks.
People claim this Nordstrom's is smaller than the Walnut Creek one, but these people are SO MUCH more organized than their Walnut Creek Branch. They have everything so neat and laid out in front of you. The prices are easily seen on the garmet- no need to go looking for a sales associate. The parking situation is GREAT- it is right in front of their store, and it is very big. I went there recently during their anniversary sale and came out with three shopping bags! I love it.
This is one of my favorite store, Everytime a new Ugg Boot comes out I have to purchase it,then spend $200 at the Mac counter. I love the reps. at the make up counter.
