Gents Place Men's Fine Groom

Titled this review "Jealousy" because that has been the way that I felt the 2 times that I purchased gift cards and sent some very special men in my life to the Gents Place. I checked it out before hand and was blown away by the clutter-free decor, and just dead-on layout for a mens salon. The first friend that went there for services was invited to a happy hour kind of party a few weeks later, which I heard was a blowout...tons of people, really?... a salon with a happy hour?
Both guys I sent there raved about the staff, and how nice it was to enjoy a beer while being pampered by cute vest wearing chicks. They also gave props to the barber for a shave well done.
Jealous... yes. Can we get a "Ladies Place" where I can have some Maker's on the rocks while getting fancied up?

This is a PRIVATE barber room in Frisco with a straight razor shave treatment for less than a good cup of coffee a day. My guy is STILL talking about the straight razor shave he received at the gent place, and he went in for a hair cut and shave a month ago. Sounds like a great fathers day gift in Frisco! I went for my first visit this week. I scheduled the 7 Course.

The staff was friendly and the short wait wasn't even noticed with the complimentary beer!

I can't imagine anyone complaining about any service here. I walked out relaxed and looking great. I have never felt so good after a "haircut".

I think the only minor complaints are the availability, as I had to call three times before I could get a time slot that they could accomodate me. Tip here...use the on line reservation service...it's easy and fast!!

The other concern is the price. I think the prices are fair, but I was a bit surprised by one aspect...they charge an extra (kinda hefty) price for a neck shave with the haircut. I think I am a pretty average guy and most guys have neck hair..any way to incorporate the shave into a haircut?

Overall I will absolutely return!! I have gone to a similar shop and they do not compare. Gent's Place is a great experience and makes the necessary haircut a luxury to look forward to!

I sent my man to the Gent's place in Frisco for a taste of the good life. He tried on the three course to start which included the best haircut I have ever seen on him. After getting into the groove he moved on to the hot neck shave that he is still bragging about. I peeked in when he was in the private barber room and they had what looked like a private party going on. Complimentary drink in hand, and a professional barber at his side, he was in 'the zone'. This place really is an amazing place for Men. With the haircuts starting at $35.00 it beats out my Salon pricing and he gets the treatment he deserves. Leaving the Gent's place, my King was soo happy he treated me like his Queen for the rest of the day. So ladies if you are looking for special treatment for your man, at an affordable price, send him to the gents place for a true barber cut and shave, it's the gift that keeps on giving. Located in Frisco in the Starwood shopping center. Men's foot treatments, full facial and body treatments and one of the best massages in Frisco.

You have never had this level of personal attention anywhere; and if you have never experienced men's fine grooming, then it's time to up the ante and experience the best life has to offer! I was getting men's grooming before men's grooming was cool and let me tell you you have no idea what you are missing. The staff, the service, the personalization, the libations, all top notch. I went there 1 time to get a feel for the place before making an appointment and when I called back to schedule Ben, the owner, new who I was just by my voice! Now that is unparalleled customer service. Give yourself what you never knew you where missing, the gift of FINE men's grooming, give it at the The Gent's Place!

I had my first appointment yesterday for the 3 course haircut and foot repair and it was great. The stylist was awesome, pretty, and fun. I enjoyed every aspect of the experience and will be a regular customer. I highly highly recommend stopping in for a haircut or any other treatment, you wont be disappointed.

I had the pleasure to visit The Gent's Place several weeks ago. I experienced the masage, shave, and a foot repair while visiting. The massage was relaxing and the pressure was deep enough to give my muscles the work they needed. The shave was the closest shave I have ever had and also very relaxing and informative. I truly felt that I recieved my own class on shaving. The foot repair was great, and it was paired with a hot rock massage on my calves. I will definately be a continues client of The Gent's Place.

The Gent's Place may very well be the best treat you never knew you needed! My wife heard about it from a friend and came to CitySearch to check it out. After reading about the "Dump Your Barber" special and reading reviews, she insisted I should go. As a guy, I wasn't entirely warming up to the idea of "pampering" but needed a haircut and decided to give it a shot.

Upon entering, I was welcomed and offered a drink while I waited. (I was warming up to the place already!) The feel is very masculine with rich dark wood decor and a slight western style. A nice touch is the television screens placed throughout the area.

My wife had set me up with an appointment for the "seven course" service and a "foot repair" (pedicure). I enjoyed a beer and tv while my feet were attended to. Not bad! The "seven course" was next. It included a haircut, shampoo, scalp massage, facial rub, hot towel treatment, parafin hand treatment, and a shoulder and neck massage. Everything was fantastic, (including a great haircut), and I left feeling very, very relaxed.

I highly recommend the Gent's Place and will definitely be back. I live in downtown dallas but it's worth the trip. This is a place where a man can enjoy some spa-like attention without subjecting himself to the feminine trappings of a traditional spa. Do yourself a favor and just go. You won't regret it.

Pros: Friendly and attentive service, all the benefits of a spa but without the "fru fru stuff".

Cons: Wish there was one in downtown Dallas!

While I am not given to extravegances, especially for myself, I make an exception when it comes to The Gents Place in Frisco. A courteous, talented staff brings the finishing touch to a well-appointed, state-of-the-art salon for men. The haircuts, grooming products, hand waxing, camo color -- all are first class. I hear the massages are excellent, too. It's a relaxing, refreshing break in my hectic-Dallas life. I recommend it without reservation. It's worth every cent.

This place has it all - Great atmosphere, friendly staff, & excellent products. I have been several times since it opened & will never go anywhere else for a haircut. I highly recommend the straight razor shave, it is absolutely awesome. The Gentleman?s Refinery product line has the best shave products I have ever used. The owner & his staff are great & will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Keep up the good work.

I have been to Gents Place three times since they opened and have been totally impressed every time! I get the 7 course which is supposed to 45 minutes but they always go way over board and do more like an hour plus. Very friendly staff and really comfortable atmosphere.

I recently went and experienced the fine services Ben (the owner) had to offer at The Gents Place. I must admit that before I went in I was a little skeptical about the whole Gentleman's Refinery Concept. Boy was I in for a surprise. I can't even begin to express how awesome my experience was. Guys no longer have to nail salons etc... The Gents Place is where it's at!

When you arrive, Ben or one of the girls in the front will offer you a beverage of your choice (beer, wine, select cocktails) and you can relax and watch some tv there while you wait for your service. All the girls there are very nice and make you feel very relaxed and special there. They don't "overdo" the customer service either. It's a nice, relaxed feeling.

I had a waxing service there as well as a haircut. At first when you look at the website: the prices may seem a little high, but it's well worth it. I bought a 3 course membership and after 2 visits... i'm so happy I did! I had the pleasure of having Kristin as my stylist. She made me feel comfortable about myself and gave me a realistic and true woman's opinion about my cut. I will be going back as much as I can.

Ben Davis is a really cool guy as well! He's down to earth and will spend as much time getting to know you as you do getting to know his spa. He'll even give you a Grand Tour - but you gotta ask! He has a great concept going and I encourage everyone to try it out! Don't be shy guys... you don't have to go with your girlfriends / wives to those nail salons... I promise you won't be disappointed!

For a guy, I am very particular about my hair and who cuts it. The Gent's Place has redefined my opinion of men's grooming. I have been to many different men's hair salons in each big city in Texas, and this is by far the best. The service was the great and the owner (Ben) took time to come personally introduce himself to me over a beer. I value professionalism and The Gent's place offers just that. There is not a single establishment I would reccomend higher for men's hair. Keep up the good work over there, and I look forward to my next visit.

Best place in Frisco to get a great haircut. I also had the best massage of my life at the place. Great atmosphere and Friendly staff.
