I was not happy with my service GDS. I paid $493 to have a garage door opener installed on our 3rd car garage stall as a Christmas present for my husband. The service representative did a sloppy job on the wiring and told me that I could go to the store and get more wire and make it better myself (because he did not carry extra wire on his truck apparently and I, the customer am supposed to deal with it myself). He also told me that I'm supposed to have some metal piece on the top of my garage door for safety reasons and again, did not carry this on his truck (and so I do not have this safety piece like I'm supposed to). Upon his departure, I went to close my other garage door, the one he did not touch, and the button would not work. I phoned him to come back and he told me he didn't touch it and that maybe a mouse chewed through the wires while he was installing the other one. That button worked perfectly fine, and has for years, before he put the new button to the new garage door right above it. It took me several phone calls to several different people and managers to request someone else back out to fix the sloppy wiring job and look at the broken button. The same guy who I asked not to come out did, and I sent him away. Finally, after being stood up on Christmas Eve and several more phone calls, someone else came to attempt the repairs. The button on my original opener still does not work. Although the wiring looks better, it's still not what it should be. Their services and products are non-returnable and non-refundable. Do not use this company if you want poor service with no guarantees for satisfaction.
