ATA of Pompano Beach, Karate

I have been looking for a hobby that I could do with my kids. I have two children and I wanted to get them involed in something that would be a real positive thing that we could do together. I love sports and being active. There is not that many sports that you can do with your kids. Yes, you can sit on the side lines and root them on, but you really are not involved. You are just driving them back and forth to games and practice. I took taekwondo as a child and I got up to my orange belt. I was really proud of that. I remember that the school that I went to allowed the parents in the same class as their kids. I remember that one of my friends and her Mom and Dad had such a great time together in class. So I decided to look for a school for myself and my kids. To my surprise I really had a hard time finding one. I checked out ,and I do mean checked several schools in the area and none of them would let us train together in the same class. Not that I would have joined even half of these schools. I am not into the UFC scene, and I did not want my kids in any way around that stuff. I wanted a school that would help teach my children the power of a positve mental attitude as well a self defense. So I searched on-line and found ATA Karate in Pompano Beach. I decided to call and give them a try. What a great school!!! You can train with your kids and I can also do the adult only Kick-Boxing classes. My kids and I are having a great time. They have made new friends and I am having a great time with them. I read all of the reviews and talked to the parents before I joined. Believe me when I say that all of the parents are happy in this school. The owners are the nicest people and the classes are super tough and I love the ATA fit Kick-Boxing!

I'm a father of an 8 year old boy and my wife and I enrolled him in the ATA After School Program. Honestly, he's not always the best student and last year wasn't great. We decided to try karate to help him focus and have better behavior. He has been going now for 2 weeks and we can already see a change. He gets ready for school on time and gives us less problems and when we pick him up in the evening his homework is done. The instructors help to motivate the kids to do their best and to be proud of themselves. My wife and I very happy and we think the program is great.

My daughter and I have been training at ATA karate from 3 months now and what we like is the great instruction and wonderful family atomsphere. It is really like an extended family. Mr. & Mrs. Shebar and their Leadership staff are truley caring and motivating instructors. My daughter is 12 and I'm over 40 and we wanted to do it together. This is the only school in the area that encourages and allows adults to be in class with their kids. We are going to try our first tournament in Sept. 25th in Key West. This was the best decision I've made for my relatioship with my daughter.

I am a single mom and I enrolled my 6 year son in ATA's summer camp program. This place is fantastic! Not only did he learn great martial art skills, but also baseball and basketball. I'm not very good at sports and there is no dad to help, so I have always concerned about him playing sports. He can now hit a ball great and play with confidence. He is also a great karate kicker! He had no experience in the martial arts before and now his kicks and practices his stuff all over the house! Mr. & Mrs. Shebar are great role models for kids and are very caring. I am so happy that I enrolling my son in their after-school program! This is the place to take you children

I have been at ATA Karate for almost two years in the kickboxing class. For two years I watched the normal classes, until I finally came in one day and said "Sign me up." That by far has been the best decision I have ever made. In the two years a lost inches around my waist and a lot of pounds. So if you're looking to find a place to lose weight, learn taekwondo, learn how to use weapons, and/or how to defend yourself, then ATA Karate is the place to be.

Im a 37 year old female that has been training with the ATA Martial Arts of Pompano Beach for over two years now. I am in the best shape Ive ever been in, I have more confidence, and respect for myself, and Ive learned how to defend my self. I am now adding MMA to my training, something I NEVER imagined myself doing and VERY excited about it! I look forward to many more years here and becoming a black belt! I would encourage every person of any age to stop by and give them a try!

I am so proud of my son and daughter. They joined the ATA of Pompano Beach and have grown so much mentally, physically, and emotionally! They have become more self-confident, have more self-control, and shows so much respect to their friends, family, and other adults. I am so glad we have become part of ATA of Pompano Beach's family! Thank you to all of their staff and the other students for making this so amazing for all of us!

Don't go any where else.
My 5 year old son has been a Tiny Tiger here for about a year now. He was shy/timid NOW he's confident, he was a follower NOW he is a LEADER, he has learned and continuously learns important life skills like respect & courtesy. He is a super happy kid and loves to go to Karate. The Owners have a great way with the kids and the classes are fun - while at the same time teaching important lessons and skills.

Now also - parents if you want to get into shape - don't go anywhere else. The Kick boxing classes and the Get on the Ball classes are excellent and you will get PERSONAL TRAINER results. I have lost 25 lbs and gotten into shape!

My daughter and I joined ATA of Pompano Beach, Supreme Martial Arts over a year and a half ago. We are now Blue belts! We have trained together and have moved through the ranks together, cheering each other on through it all! We have become closer in our relationship and have grown in our self-confidence, integrity, we learned how to set goals and preserve in life! Our experience has been amazing! My daughter is now a Jr. Instructor and ranked #3 in Forms, #5 in Sparring, & #3 in Weapons in the State of Florida and working to become State Champion! My daughter & I have made friends all over the U.S. through the tournaments we have gone to. My daughter is pushing me to start competing next year! My daughters grade has come up and has taken on responsibilities around the house she has never done before. I cant not tell you how much we enjoy our training and the family we made through ATA of Pompano Beach, Supreme Martial Arts

My granddaughter has been training at Supreme Martial Arts, ATA of Pompano Beach for over a year. She has grown into a confident, focused young lady. She went from being shy to placing in tournaments, fighting for State Champion! I was so happy with her and the training she is getting from ATA of Pompano Beach, I signed up my 2 grandsons and my other granddaughter. They love it! To see my grandkids train together, grow in self-confidence, cheer each other on, and help each other learn their forms and weapons- its just heart warming. 3-4 times a week, I drive from Hollywood to Coral Springs to pick up kids, drive to Pompano Beach for class, drive them back to Coral Springs and then I head home to Hollywood, which should say it all! All four of my grandkids are competing at competitions and I am so proud of them, I am taking them to Spring Nationals in Las Vegas this year!
