ESF is a national grassroots based civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality. ESF members engage in service-oriented activities in communities typically opposed to equal rights to foster positive dialogue and change toward equality. Additionally, the ESF sponsors legislation, lobbies legislators, develops community awareness, collaborates with coalitions, and empowers individuals and organizations to engage in the political process for equality.
ESF is a great organization. For those who havent joined ESF, members go out and do community service in conservative communities. Im personally grown sick of the other GLBT organizations of the 80s and 90s. You have to change with the times and ESF has truly done that. I love how they are really attempting to affect change in such a positive manner. The only way well change the minds of those against us is by allowing them to get to know us. ESF has figured this out, and Im so thankful Ive joined them.

You guys are the best! I'm so proud to finally see a LGBT organization going about this in the right manner. Many of the others can be so divisive. Keep up the awesome work!

Great job guys at last weekends event. What a positive way to influence others in our fight for equality! While other organizations remain divisive, you continue to push the envelope to promote ways to cultivate communication with the other side. I know everyone wont come around; but as A. Latham Staples said, we have the chance through positive means to change the minds of those who dont have enough information. We had so much fun, and I know well be at future events!

Over the past few years Ive participated in a few marches, rallies, and political activities regarding the LGBT community. However, until today Ive never felt more proud of our community or any gay and lesbian organization working for us. The Empowering Spirits Foundations event today was awesome. It was such a joy to do community service with others, and at the same time engage in conversations regarding gay and lesbian issues with members of society who obviously just didnt know much about us. I was amazed at how many people opened up, asked more questions than I ever imagined, and seemed to come to a better understanding of the LGBT community. Im glad I got to meet A. Latham Staples as well. What a nice young man and how great to see someone who is so passionate about equal rights and someone who strives to give back to the community. I highly recommend any one getting involved in ESFs events. You won't be disappointed!

Thanks for approaching the gay and lesbian issue in such a positive manner. Last Saturday's event was really great and moving. I've told my friends back in New York city and they are going to join your next event up there.

I was introduced to Latham Staples and was overcome by his passion to not only bring equality to America, but his desire to help others. I've attended a few Empowering Spirits Foundation events and am amazed at the positive message this sends to the community that those who are LGBT are just like everyone else; and that we do truly care about making this world a better place for all. The Empowering Spirits Foundation is truly unique in that not only are you furthering the cause for equality, but you are making a difference for those that need assistance.
