Experience the thrill of skydiving without jumping from an airplane. Skydivers freefall through the air at 120mph and up. iFly is vertical wind tunnel, where we bring the wind to you. You'll float on a cushion of air within feet of your certified instructor. By studying the same body movements that skydivers use, you can learn to perform aerobatic maneuvers and, with experience, even fly in groups. Indoor Skydiving at iFly is a safe, exciting experience for virtually anyone, ages 3 and up. iFly SF Bay is the perfect for a birthday party, corporate event or just for fun with friends. It's safe enough for kids, challenging enough for adults, exciting enough for teens, and realistic enough for professional skydivers. Great fun for all ages, and no experience is necessary. Key Points

  • Birthday Parties
  • Corporate Groups
  • Indoor Skydiving Facility

The Inside Scoop

  1. Fun Fact - Because the four 250-horsepower fans can circulate air at speeds upwards of 120mph, the same simulated free-fall technology is used to train both competitive skydivers and members of the U.S. military.
  2. Know Before You Go - People of all ages (children as young as 3 and even seniors into their 90s) can fly, so long as they're in good physical health and do not have back problems. Instruction is provided for first timers.
  3. When to Go - Rates vary by experience level, number of flights and time of day. Prices are often cheaper early in the morning. Call for details.
  4. The Extras - For an additional $24.95, you can buy a DVD of your party's time in the wind tunnel.

Awesome Time!

by Gregorynice

iFly is an amazing experince! You must try it!

I was so excited to try iFly since it opened a while back, and finally got the chance. I had read reviews about it before and wasn't sure what to expect.

The staff was super friendly and made us feel really comfortable with flying. The 1 minutes flys are exhilarating to say the least, lol! I was able to fly without the instructor holding onto me on my first try!

The prices are fair and the photos afterward are hilarious lol. I will be doing this again.

Pros: SO MUCH FUN!

Great staff and amazing experience

by chuckeroonie

I am hooked. This is really a blast.

My whole family went for the first time 2 weeks ago (Mom, Dad, and 7 yr. old son). We've been back three times since and will return at least four more times over the next month or so.

The staff are very helpful and really work hard. Without exception, they really try to please. The check in process is very smooth and their explanation of what to expect is very good.

On my second visit I was so proud to have improved to the point that I could fly where ever I wanted and even flew to the exit under my own power. All due to the great instructors.

In my view, the only downside is that their packages are pretty inflexible. I would love to go a lot more often and am willing to shell out a bunch of money up front to buy hours in advance... but they lack any practical plan that meets that need, Bummer, because if they had such a plan, I'd bring 6-8 new friends in every week.

Pros: Great staff, really try to please

Cons: The various packages are somewhat inflexible

Amazing Place

by Aerialsoul

I have over 1300 skydives and I truly love iFlySFBay. I just can't get enough. I've taken many non-skydivers and they to have loved it -- from 3 yrs old to 60+, they all had a great time.

Just book in advance because the weekends are busy. And my recommendation for the first flight is to book for 4 mins of flying. 4 mins of tunnel time is about the same as 6 student skydives of airtime.

Hope to see you there.

Pros: Easy, great location, You can Fly

Cons: You can spend a lot of $$ going over and over

Great Place to Practice Freefall for Skydivers!

by AngelJessica

That said, the amount of freefall time you get for you $ is a lot more compared to the amount you get on a skydive.

It is a great way to increase your freefall skills in a safer environment than in the sky, which is a great confidence builder.

I went to i FLY SF Bay after my second day off AFF. I got really unstable and lost both of my instructors. My instability caused severe line twist in my parachute. I had to cut away my main and deploy my reserve.

After that, I went with one of my instructors to i FLY. The staff there worked with me to teach me how to remain stable on my belly, even while pretending to check my altitude and deploying my parachute. I gained enough confidence to return to the sky the next day, and have a great skydive!

I went back again within the month to practice turning, so that I'd feel even more confident with my abilities. I finished AFF within a few days from that. Now, I have my A Lic! Now that I'm flying well on my belly, I would love to return to i FLY to learn how to back fly, sit fly, and fly head down!

Thanks to the staff for all your help!

Pros: Great facility and staff

Cons: Too far from home and expensive

by cnn08

iFly is a great way to decide wether or not you would want to do real skydiving, because it shows you just what it's like! The employees are totally helpful and show you all the tricks and it's so much fun!

Pros: crazy fun! never done anything like it

Cons: it's a bit pricey

People Can Fly

by bradstyle

I'm an outdoor skydiver with 18 years and 3,500 jumps under my belt. While there is no experience quite like jumping out a plane, iFly SF Bay provides a totally authentic re-creation of the freefall experience. So authentic in fact that outdoor skydivers use facilities like this to train their flying skills for competition. You aren't competitive anymore unless you cross train indoors, it's that good. Any of the flying acrobatics you've seen can be safely learned and practiced indoors in a totally controlled environment. It's incredibly fun, totally spectator friendly, and accessible by people of all ages from three and up!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Pros: It's real human flight in a safe environment

by freefall211

I have been skydiving a few times before and loved it, when I heard about this indoor skydiving I had to try it! It is so much fun, totally similar to the real thing. I was able to improve my flying, with the help of one of the instructors. I can't wait to go back
