I agree with you Amber. I went to the salon in June as I wanted another option for natural hair other than braids. I tried the California Press which looked wonderful. I honesty have to say that Lisa did an awesome job but I didn't have the patience needed to tame my natural hair and went back to relaxers. I wish I had listened to her advice and stuck with natural. Her work is excellent and she is very knowlegable about hair. She was the first stylist that identified that the crown of my scalp had some inflammation and that I should see a dermatologist to treat the inflammation and get injections to treat hair loss. Mind you that this was first visit and I had gone to other stylist for years and no one else bought this issue to my attention. I took her advice and saw a dermatologist and I am being treated for the inflammation. I am also getting injections with successful results. The salon atmosphere was a pleasant one and I enjoyed conversing with other clients. If you are seriously considering going natural of if you are concered with the present condition of your hair, try Lisa.

I love styles by lisa and her styles and service.... I recently just moved to charlotte from florida and ive been looking into going natural but not quite sure how to go about it because i couldnt find anyone in the state of north carolina who could give me a silky straight look with no chemicals... but recently my prayers have been answered becasue lisa is GOD sent she got my hair sily straight and full of body for a great price. She is a very sweet and kind woman. She embodies professionalism and great customer service. That is why i just cant see why this so called anonymous woman left a horredous report whenshe didnt even get her done. I bet when she left blessed assuranse that her hair was toe up. I really enjoyed my expierience with lisa from styles by lisa and i know many people that can vouch for that.. So please people dnt listen to this hater that obviously has nothing better to do with her time. Lisa is great and she will have u looking naturally beautiful.

I just moved to the Charlotte area and decided to go natural. I found this salon on line and WOW! Lisa made me feel good about going natural and took me through the process step by step. I really love what she has done for my hair and i love the privacy and intimacy of her suite. I would highly recommend Lisa if you're in Charlotte and thinking about going natural. consultations are free.

I recently decided I wanted to go natural. So I did some research online and found this salon. I had been eager to come see her and had been calling repeatedly for about 3 weeks prior trying to getting an appt. When she would answer the phone she did not seem eager or hungry to receive a new client. She never offered a date or time that she had an opening but rather would just inform me that she was booked and hang up! Once I finally got an appt with her (I had to call a week in advanced; scheduled for Saturday 8/15/09 at 1pm) I showed up early (about 15 min) to make sure I would be on time for my appt. When I arrive (she's located in Salon Central off Independence), I showed up to her still having 2 clients already in her salon! Now this is a tiny salon that can only hold up to 1-2 clients at a time! So, even though I was on time for my appt, I had to sit outside and wait in a chair she had sitting right outside her suite door. Now, mind you her salon door was closed, so its not like I could have just walked in! And I didn't want to be rude, given she already had 2 clients in there, who's hair was NOT done by the way, when I showed up! Make a long story short, I ended up waiting outside her salon for 45 min! She never came out to check on me, see if I was waiting on her, nothing! And, as a hair stylist, I would assume you know when a client is coming and how many you book for a day! She overbooked and didn't care whether or not she lost or gained a new customer! I ended up going to Angela, the stylist across from Lisa. Angela's salon is called Blessed Assurance and is directly across from Styles by Lisa. Angela was so much more professional, friendly, and definantle uses some great products!! Styles by Lisa was awful and a waste of time!! I didn't even get my hair done and I would not recommend her to anyone!!! If this is the best customer service she can give, she need to take that mess back to Cali, or wherever she is from!!!!
Pros: great if you want horrible customer service!
Cons: long waits, hard to schedule appt, unprofessional
