Newport Hair Loss Center

Before I went to Newport Hair Loss Center, I was living a life of seclusion. My aunt urged me to try a wig but I had my misgivings. I had images in my mind of big, pouffy, unnatural looking wigs. I found Newport Hair Loss Center and was so flad I did. It was very comforting to know that Nazy was wearing a wig too. I cannot tell you how my perspective changed on my situation after talking with Nazy and seeing her out there in the public eye all while having alopecia. She made an amazing wig for me. It is so comfortable even when I wear it all day. I thought it would be scratchy, but Nazy has developed a special cap made out of medical-grade materials and I cannot hardly feel it on my head. The hair is beautiful and it looks so natural. I get compliments on my hair all the time, but no one knows its a wig- its my little secret!!!!!

I was diagnosed 3 months ago with bladder cancer. When I was told I would face chemo and hair loss, I began to search for a way to deal with this as I am in a high profile career. My oncologist referred me to Newport Hair Loss Center. I was impressed by Nazy Curtis, the owner. It was really comforting and encouraging that she has faced and overcome cancer and that she has to wear a wig daily because of her fight with alopecia. She explained very thouroughly the very detailed art of making a custom wig. We decided the best strategy was to make a wig from my own hair before I lost it to chemo. I looove....my wig. It looks amazing and you cannot tell that it is a wig at all. Nazy is definately the go-to person if you find yourself facing cancer.

I am so thankful that my doctor referred me to Newport Hair Loss Center. I have been attempting to conceal my alopecia totalis for several years now and have been through many wigs and wig shops. My dermatologist referred me to Nazy and I am so thankful. Nazy studied pictures of me before I lost my hair and was able to design a custom wig to mimic my natural hair line, color, and texture. When I put on my wig for the first time, it was almost like I was put in a time machine. I look just like I did 5 years ago! It was amazing. Nazy is a miracle maker. Thank you so much! I was researching into an organization that could help me donate my hair for a child with cancer and I came across Newport Hair Loss Center. I was inspired by Nazy's story of breast cancer survival and that she has alopecia and has to wear a wig. She was amazing. She was able to make it all happen to use my donated hair to make a wig for a little girl with cancer. The years of letting my growing my hair were so worth it when I saw this little girl's face when she saw herself with the wig on. Talk about priceless! Thank you, Nazy for making it all happen! You're amazing!

I am so happy with my new wig that Nazy made for me! Over the years I have bought many wigs to address my alopecia and pretty much gave up wearing a wig at all because I always ended up dissappointed with the quality of the wigs I had bought. A friend convinced me to come see Nazy and I decided to go for it and have her make me a custom wig. I am so suprised by the results! Like the other review said, she really is an artist! My wig feels as light as air on my head and I loook and feel better than I have in 8 years! Thank you Nazy!

I would never go anywhere else for a wig. Nazy is truely an artist. The quality of the wigs she makes cannot be compared to others out there and I like that she undestands what it is like to go through alopecia and face hair loss every morning in the mirror. I went to Newport Hair Loss Center because I was referred by my dermatologist. I had purchased other wigs over the years to address my total alopecia and always ended up discouraged with the look and quality. They were always terribly bulky and scratchy andI never lasted long with wearing them. What a waste of money- and they were always prety expensive too. I would not have believed if I had not send with my own eyes and felt the material that Nazy uses to make the cap of her wigs. It is so lightweight its almost like air on my scalp- totally breathable. The quality of the hair and the natural hair line that is custom designed is amazing. You literally cannot tell I am wearing a wig. I am completely blown away. With all the bad experiences I have had over the years, I never thought I would try purchasing another wig. But I am a believer! This product is awesome. Thanks, Nazy and Newport Hair Loss Center.

I went to Newport Hair Loss Center after going through a relapse. I really never thought I would have to deal with chemo gain and was devastated when my cancer came back. And I just couldnt go through losing all my hair again. I plan to work through most of my chemo this time and needed to have a wig made. My oncologist referred me to Nazy and she made the most beautiful wig for me. I am suprised to find that its very comfortable to wear and looks and moves so naturally. Thank you, Nazy for making such an amazing wig for me. I really feel confident to go through chemo this time around. Thanks!

This is a very good hair loss center. The woman who owns it made a beautiful wig for me. She was very professional and knowledgeable. My whole experience was wonderful and I have been very happy with my wig. You cannot tell I am wearing a wig at all. I would definately recommend this center.

I was so skeptical for so long about wigs at all and just went about without concealing my alopecia. I saw Nazy's ad on Alopecia World and went for a consultation. It was so comforting to know that Nazy has alopecia too. Nazy created a wig for me. It was beyond my expectations. You cant tell its a wig at all and all I can say is that I wish I had a wig made sooner. Nazy your a miracle worker! Thanks.

I came to Newport Hair Loss Center because I have struggled with trichotillomania for many years. I was impressed by the quality of the wigs and the fit especially. There is no way you can tell that the wig Nazy made for me is a wig at all. It looks so natural. I would definately recommend Newport Hair Loss Center to others dealing with hair loss.

I first met Nazy when I took my mother (recently diagnosed with cancer) to find a wig. My goal was to help her find the most natural looking wig as possible. Overcoming the cancer needed to be her main focus; I didnt want her worrying about her hair as it was falling out. I found Nazys website, and was immediately impressed with how professional and informative it was. My mother and I were both nervous going into this search because we didnt have confidence in being able to find a natural looking wig, but Nazy quickly calmed those nerves. She opened her heart to us as well as her process for creating her custom wigs. Nazy was always accommodating to our schedule as we needed to plan around chemo treatments. The end result was unparalleled. No one in my family realized that my mother was wearing a wig, and she has received numerous compliments so far. To this day, I still cant get over how gorgeous the colors of the wig are and how well they compliment her skin. To be honest, I was a little jealous. After my mom received her final cut and style with the wig, I actually had Nazy fix my hair and I must say that I have never loved my cut & color so much!

Nazy Curtis is simply amazing. Recently being diagnosed with cancer, I was in a hurry to find a wig that fit me personally. At first, I didnt even know where to start looking for the type of professional (i.e. unrecognizable) wig that I desired. My daughter did some online research, found Nazy in Newport (we live about 3 hours away) and booked a consultation. From the start of the consultation to the moment we took the wig home we were impressed with Nazys kind heart, her wig creating process, and the professionalism of her salon.
Preparing mentally to wear a wig in place of my natural hair was a difficult task, but Nazy made me feel at ease through the entire process. Nazy even provided a private room for our meetings during this difficult and personal time. She was very comforting and made me feel confident that her product would be a good match for me.
The end product was phenomenal. After Nazy shaved my head and replaced it with my new wig, I sent a picture to my husband. His response was I thought you were going to shave your head? When are you going to start wearing the wig? When I got home, I asked my twelve year old daughter if she noticed anything different about me. She couldnt figure out what was different! In the second week of my chemo treatment, my nurse was surprised that my hair didnt look like it had been thinning so she asked if it had started falling out yet. She was shocked when I said yes, thats why Im wearing this. The nurse complemented the quality of the wig, stating that she can usually spot a wig from a mile away since she is around them every day.
I am extremely pleased with the service Nazy has provided and I will recommend her to anyone in need of a natural looking wig and to anyone looking to meet a superb individual.

After the rapid loss of my hair due to alopecia universalis, I quickly bought a wig online. It served a purpose but it didn't stay in place and it looked like a helmet. After a little more online searching, I found Nazi. Wow. To meet someone who wasn't shocked by my appearance was able to help was a huge relief. Now, I have hair that's comfortable and it fits snug. It's a part of me. I feel like myself again. Thank you Nazi for the wonderful service you provide. Nazy and Newport Hair Loss Center has worked with me for sometime and made wigs for me. If you want the best- go to Nazy! I have made the mistake of going elsewhere in the past and have always been overcharged and not happy with the product. When you are someone like me who needs to wear a wig daily because I have no hair, obviously I need a wig that is the best quality and is comfortable. I do not reccomend Newport Hair Loss Center. I went here about 3 months ago and came on this site to see all the positive reviews. I dont understand why someone would pay an extra $1000.00 for a $500.00 wig? Nadine and Nazy was nice but really doesnt seem to know alot about wigs except for the one that she wears. Im not going to pay an extra $1000.for a human hair wig when I can get it at any other wig place for under $500 because someone is nice to me. Same wig I have seen in every wig shop. Nothing special. Needless to say I didnt buy and I will not go back.

My experience at Newport Hair Loss Center was totally unexpected. I only made an appointment to check into a wig because my husband kept pushing me. I lost all my hair due to alopecia which I have been struggling with for over a year. I have been so depressed and have felt so ugly. I had not "bought in" to the idea of a wig. I guess I had the notion that all wigs looked like a costume. The wigs Nazy showed me were beautiful and felt great on. I ordered a custom wig and am so very happy I did. It is so comfortable and looks so real. I am really blown away and I feel SO much better about myself. Thanks, Newport Hair Loss Center. I feel like my old self again- even better!

I came to Newport Hair Loss Center after being referred by a friend who also goes to the Hoag Cancer Center. I really had never thought a wig would be for me, even after losing all me hair to chemo. After I saw my friend's beautiful wig and how beautiful and confident she looked in it, I changed my mind. Nazy made me an amazing wig and I am inspired by her story. She is a strong woman who has beat cancer and faces complete hair loss everyday. Her courage to work in the beauty industry while wearing her own custom wig is inspiring. Nazy you created and amazing wig for my daughter!!!! It was so heartbreaking for her after her chemo when her long, beautiful hair started to all fall out. Hair is a big deal to a teenager!!! She was so hesitant and nervous about trying a wig, but you were so sweet with her and patient. And her wig looks so natural. My sister came to you for a wig as she knew she would soon lose hair from chemo. Her wig was nothing less than amazing. It looked and felt like her hair. She had it trimmed and styled at times and it always looked very natural. Her hair made her feel like herself when she went out to dinner or out with her family. She looked so beautiful all the time.
I thank you for your guidence on to how to style the wig as I prepare to donate it to someone in need. I trust you will style for someone just as my sister would love. God Bless you.

Wow! Nazy and her staff are the most professional group of people I have ever met at a salon. I have accompanied my wife to other salons and have never felt as welcomed and valued as I did today. Nazy took the time to help my wife and explain to the both of us the many options and styles of wigs available. She did not pressure us in any way and was very patient throughout our decision making.

I am so happy, my sister was able to afford this wig and I think, this wig was best quality of hair. Hair still looks great after 8 months. She really gives you good advice and knows, what she is talking about. We talk to others and they had same experience.

Thanks Nazy, for doing an awesome job and staying so late for me. My friends did not realize, I am wearing a custom wig and I must say, I really like the quality of my human hair wig. My husband said, he never saw me happy like that, lately :-)
