Urbana CitySpa & Teabar Birkdale

I have been a long time massage fan. A friend of mine told me about Urbana so I thought I would give it a try. I got to Urbana and I must say quite a beautiful environment. Had some good tea and enjoyed the very nice music. It was now time for my massage. Annie was my therapist she was absolutely GREAT! The best deep tissue massages I have ever had. I re-scheduled and I am considering their club plan. Annie, thank you. I look forward to returning.

I get five or six massages a year both in the area and when traveling. My recent massage at Urbana ranks better than any I've had anywhere (Grove Park, Vegas. New York, Carribbean) Plus the facility is first class. Tiffaney is amazing.

Everything here is perfect! My boyfriend surprised me while we were walking through Birkdale Village. There wasn?t a couple?s massage available last-minute, but they had one appointment available with an awesome therapist (Annie). My boyfriend was treated to music and a glass of wine while I enjoyed 60 minutes of hot stone massage. We?re both telling everyone -- there aren?t many places in Charlotte like this. It?s like stepping into the pages of a magazine but not
stuck-up like some salons and spas ? the staff is very friendly. My massage was great. Plus, there are several rooms for couples, and we?ll be going back soon for a couple?s massage in the Nirvana Room.

I've had many massages at the Carmel Rd. location and now at the Birkdale Village location. Both are amazing. The fashion event for Amped for the Cure brought about 75 people in, and what a great place for a great cause. Photos are on the Urbana website. Check them out.

I recently had a massage at Urbana in Birkdale Village. From the moment I walked in to the time I left I was completely at ease and thoroughly relaxed. The atmosphere alone is relaxing but the actual massage was out of this world. I have had plenty of massages & they just don't compare! Renne took care of me and I highly recommend her. She is very attentive & thorough. I especially liked the hot steamy towl under my neck after I turned over as well as the soothing heat that was placed over my eyes. I work in the salon industry so I pay attention to detail when I am having services at other establishments & they definitely meet my high standards. I am hooked, I prebooked to see Renne before I left.

I was in Birkdale Village and stopped into Urbana spa. I was blown away with the decore and the people there. I got a tour of the place and was impressed with the whole operation. I scheduled a massage while I was there, and that weekend, wow! what a great massage! I first had tea in the lounge and listened to some great music. My hot stone massage was perfect and actually couldn't have been better. They also have a wine list and told me about their happy hours. I asked at the front desk if all the therapist were as good as Rene. She was wonderful, and I highly recommend her but have also heard from friends about other therapists there being really great. I would like to tell everyone who is interested in massage that Urbana is the best I have ever experienced. Great place, and I will be going back soon!

after long day at work i decide to have massage.Stop at the urbana teabar and massage and book my massage.very nice place ,quit relaxing,but massage was worst I ever have in my life.I usually have massage once a week and want some change,never will leave my massage therapist,she is the best.That was bad experience and I will never have massage there any more.Therapist was confused,he did't know where he started and wich part of body he finish,bad,bad bad!

My recent massage was wonderful. I can see why Urbana has such devoted clients. Every detail was perfect. From the massage to the teabar, I had a fantastic visit. I look forward to further visits to try more of the enticing massage options and teas!

I read about this new Huntersville spa and made an appointment. I was blown away by the atmosphere and by the best massage I have ever had. This is a really cool addition to Birkdale and something that?s not to be missed by anyone who loves a great massage. There's a huge selection of tea plus organic bath and body products. I felt super-pampered and also left with my back feeling better than it has for weeks.

I bought my boyfriend a gift card at Urbana. He works very hard as a bartender and always wants me to massage his back and arms and shoulders. Now that he's been to Urbana, he'll be back THERE as often as possible. Everyone is very nice and friendly, and he said his massage was the best. While he was getting his massage, I was able to sit in the lounge. It happened to be happy hour. Very nice wine at a nice price. Both of us were super-happy with our experence and we will be getting a couple massage soon.

I feel like a new person after every visit to this great spa and am so happy they have opened a location closer to home. When you walk through the door you will feel at complete ease. Your first sip of tea from the teabar will wash your worries away, and if that's not enough, get your massage and you may never want to leave! The staff is wonderful, friendly and happy to help. The decor is phenominal, and the environment is very tranquil. Skillful isn't close to explaining how talented the therapists are. I would reccommend EVERYONE check this place out.

My wife and I went for a couples massage and everything was perfect! Service was great, massage was amazing, everyone was very friendly and the mood is ideal if you want to truly relax. I would definitely recommend Urbana to anyone who wants to get a great massage with top notch service.

As a recent New York City transplant, I am pretty spoiled by great massages and chic spas, but this is tops! I got a hot stone massage with the face massage. I was INCREDIBLE. The lounge reminded me of NY, but was far more spacious in a way that NYC can never be. It's the coolest spot I've seen in the area -- super relaxing, chill music, lots of teas and whatnot at the "teabar". So glad I found it!

beautiful decor I'll give them that. As a new client new to the area, not very helpful. Definitely saw a difference in the way I was treated compared to locals! Reluctant to serve, didn't mention the menu or what was complimentary and then got the order wrong. An hour massage was actually only 45 min. Did not get my monies worth!
