Scuderia is a modern day American interpretation of an Italian Trattoria, serving simple Italian comfort food in the heart of Manhattan's Greenwich Village at 10 Downing Street (At 6th Ave). The restaurant features a bar, several communal tables, a banquette, an eight-foot long bar-height Chef's Table, & an oak-floored mezzanine that overlooks the bar & dining room, & can be used for private dinners & parties as well as more intimate dining separated from the larger dining area. Designed to suit the discerning NYC palate & consciousness through an emphasis on fresh, homemade, high quality ingredients, with an eye on locally-sourced, & some organic offerings, the menu features Northern Italian comfort foods, Italian reinterpretations of classic American items; and accents of Venetian flavors & spices reflecting the heritage of the Executive Chef. The staff is over the top friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious and the place was the perfect setting for a easy going meal and drinks with good friends.
Also, enjoyed their Halloween party! What a treat!!! Scuderia is a must try.
Pros: Food was delish, staff - super friendly, Price - perfect

The sidewalk seating was spacious and comfortable. Everything was fresh and delicious: fava bean salad, grilled radicchio, rigatoni. But the dessert pizza was out of this world, and I'll be dreaming of it until I return!
Pros: best dessert, great outdoor setting
Cons: inside a bit loud

visiting from Boston, I found this a neat place to peoplewatch. Outdoor seating under awning and enclosed with flowerpots created a comfortable space, yet we had lots if interaction with pasersby, most of whom were curious enough to come in for a drink! We sipped delicious wines that I let the sommelier select. "Salad of the day" is yummy and varies daily. I like a changing menu and would try something new on every visit. A definite stop on my next trip!
Pros: interesting wine list, unusual "basics", like grilled cheese
Cons: can be a bit noisey when full, but there's the fun, right?

I had a great night out with friends here a while ago. The people are nice and the food was good and not expensive! If the weather is good, you can try to get a seat outside too. I'll go back for sure.
Pros: outside seating and big groups
Cons: might wait for your seat

Last Thursday, a group of 10 friends met for after-work drinks/food. Our 6pm happy hour began as planned - we enjoyed bottles of wine and appetizers in the sunshine. At 7:30, a few people in my party asked to order more food, but were refused. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from a very belligerent manager (from inside the restaurant) to lecture me on proper ordering etiquette. He arrogantly demanded that we leave because we had not ordered dinner, and because our per person spending was unacceptable to him. When I informed him that this dinner pre-requisite was never communicated during the reservation process, he simply said, "well, you should have known better." No member of my party or I had ever experienced such irrational rudeness for what anyone would have considered appropriate behavior. I'm baffled. Good luck in the recession, buddy.
Pros: Outdoor Seating
Cons: Awful Customer Service, Mediocre Food

This restaurant could not have opened at a more perfect time, given its relatively low price point and fun, upbeat atmosphere. Have already been a few times since its opening last month. The "Bulls Eye" pizza is divine (with an egg in the center - so delish and unique!), as are all the carpaccios and paninis I've tried to date. Adored the meatballs as an app on recent visit too. And the looping Italian language tapes in the bathrooms hilarious. LOVE it. Bartenders total sweeties (with strong pours) too. Congrats to the fabulous team Team (scuderia Scuderia)!!
Pros: great ambiance - fantastic team on all fronts
Cons: may have to wait a bit for table after 7ish

Italian reinterpretations of classic American items" - translates into far reaching. Seems as if the owner/chef put together whatever their taste buds desired forgetting the concept. Best thing on the menu a fish filet?
