Beaupix Studio (Photographer)

Linked-in and Facebook here I come...I'm 50-something , I'm not a former model, and i hate having my picture taken. Well, Ryuji nailed it. And now that it is posted online, the photo has recevied unsolicited rave reviews from numerous friends and collleagues, including folks I've haven't heard from in years.

I opted to use Ryuji's make-up artist, who clearly knows how to make you up for a shoot so you look natural (if that's what you want), yet your best. And although Ryuji took 80+ shots over the course of the hour, I knew I was in the right place within minutes. He showed me the first few shots through his camera's viewfinder and I thought, wow!

Ryuji is a pleasure to work with and I am a beyond satisfied customer!

We hired Ryuji from Beaupix Studio to be our photographer for our wedding. He showed up on time(very important!) and was very fun to work with & laid-back and made you feel comfortable while he was snapping photos around you during the entire wedding. He took both colored and black-and-white photos for us. The colors of the photos have the right hues and the black & white ones have the perfect gray tone. Besides taking photos of us and families and friends, he also took photos of objects and scenes that showed the beauty that we didn't even realize. Without a doubt he has a set of keen, professional eyes with exceptional creativity. All the photos have a timeless feeling and we are so glad we hired him to capture special moments of our lives. Strongly recommend!!!!

I'm a freelance musician, and I am trying to pick up more work. In order to get noticed and look more professional, I needed creative headshots. Something professional, but still something that looked like myself. And I needed them sort of quickly. So I searched online for a photographer in the Cambridge/Boston area and found Ryuji at Beaupix Studio. His photography looked amazing, so I decided to give him a call.

I was really impressed with how professional Ryuji was on the phone. He answered all of my questions and concerns, and he really made me feel comfortable about this whole headshot business. I had never gotten a headshot taken before, so I was a little nervous. In any case, I decided to go for it and scheduled an appointment. I was so happy to find out that Ryuji is willing to work with you on scheduling - I have a hectic schedule, and so he was willing to work with me and we picked an odd time for the shoot - but it was awesome for me.

When I arrived at the Beaupix Studio, Ryuji was completely ready for my photoshoot. I felt like he was totally focused on making sure that I got exactly what I wanted out of the session. After a few minutes, I was actually really comfortable and really enjoying the experience. Ryuji was definitely a seasoned professional; he knew how to anticipate my needs before I even verbalized them. For example, I kept smoothing my long hair down, and Ryuji noticed this and immediately brought out a hair smoothing spray that made my hair look instantly shiny and smooth. He asked me questions throughout the photoshoot, showed me the digital camera shots, and really listened to my feedback and made alterations based on it. He seemed to really know what he was doing; at several points I told him different things I was looking for and he immediately changed the lighting and the resulting photographs were exactly what I was looking for. He told me a bit about lighting techniques, and how they will result in different looks; it was obvious that he was very well versed in photography techniques.

Once we had taken about an hour of pictures, we wrapped up. I couldn't believe an hour had gone by, I had had so much fun with the whole experience. I got my proofs within a day or two after the shoot, and I wanted to jump for joy - they were exactly what I was looking for. With only a very few questions, Ryuji had figured out exactly what I wanted from my photoshoot. My concerns with his price points were immediately gone - Beaupix Studio is definitely not the cheapest service around, but there's a reason that cheap services are cheap - they don't give you these kinds of results. Beaupix Studio gives you amazing results, professional service, and peace of mind. It's definitely worth a trip to Central Square, without a doubt.

Addendum:

I got my edited final selections from Beaupix Studio and I couldn't be happier with the results! Ryuji truly listened to my concerns about the untouched images and made sure that he took care to edit them so they turned out exactly the way I had envisioned.

Once again, Beaupix Studio exceeded my expectations and delivered amazing headshots.

I had a sitting for an actor's head-shot with Ryuji some time ago.

He takes about 200 pictures in the course of an hour and they're all pretty great.

He's a nice guy too, I took a while to pick out the shots I liked and he was accommodating and generous. He even edited an extra picture when I couldn't decide on a shot I liked.

When I flip through the pages of my wedding album, not only am I seamlessly transported back to that day, but I am awestruck at the thoughtful way in which someone has documented it. It was difficult for me to be in so many places at once throughout my wedding day; I was afraid that I would miss something. When I thumb through all of the photos from the evening, it is clear that Ryuji had no difficulty being everywhere at every moment. Thanks to his commitment in capturing as many moments as humanly possible, reliving our special day is attainable.

We were exceptionally pleased with Ryuji's work, from both a quality perspective and a price perspective. Ryuji's attention to detail for every photograph, from properly arranging the scene to capture the best image through to making prints resulted in stunning and memorable photos of our wedding. We receive constant compliments on the beautiful images that Ryuji produced.

Ryuji captured our event with a combination of digital, traditional 35 MM, and medium format photography. This mixture provided the most appropriate format for the variety of photographs taken. In particular, the medium format black and white film, an option not offered to us by other photographers, produced incredible large prints.

Ryuji was easy to work with throughout, very flexible and responsive to our needs, and charged us very fair prices that couldn't be matched for the quality of work he delivered.

When I went to take head shots with Ryuji I was both pleased and surprised with his passion and knowledge for photography and because he made me feel so comfortable with the entire experience the time flew by so quickly. Not only does he provide an enjoyable atmosphere within the studio but he also takes amazing pictures that left me both satisfied and thankful that I went to him for my head shots.

BeauPix, by far, has given me the most amazing photographs of myself for my modeling portfolio. I have worked with BeauPix several times and will continue to for all my future portfolio work. Highly recommended!

Ryuji did a really great job with our wedding pictures. He worked really hard to get the lighting just right whenever he could (I think he would have controlled the clouds outside if he could have!) and made some really great pictures. Me and my family will enjoy them.

I had my headshots taken by Ryuji and it was awesome! He is a great photographer and its fun and relaxing working with him. I loved my pictures! the location is easy to get to and the studio is very big.

I had a great experience working with Ryuji. He made me feel very comfortable, and he was very nice, professional, and easy to work with. The studio is really nice and large, and the location was good. I got head shots done, and they turned out beautifully! The colors and light were exquisite, definitely my favorite head shots I've done in my life. There were so many great shots, and I am still in awe at how great they turned out! I He really captured my personality and essence into the photos, and I am truly thankful in working with him. I would highly recommend the Beaupix Studio any day.

My daughter who is 7, had some pictures taken for an acting agency she is affiliated with. She had a great time having her pictures taken and was immediately put at ease. The cost was a fraction of the price of the photographers the agency recommended. The biggest problem was choosing which photo to go with! I would highly recommend Beaupix Studio.

The photos we got from Beaupix were phenomenal. I look forward to doing business
with them again. The service was great, the prices were reasonable and as I said
before, the photos were phenomenal. We got a series of portraits done at the Arnold
Arboretum, some family portraits, some couple shots, and a number of artsy portraits for
our wedding. The photos that they did for the wedding itself captured the most important
moments and I look forward to enjoying them for many years to come.

They are perfect. I got to his studio, we spoke for a while and went over outfits. then I met with the makeup artist and got into my first outfit. I sat down on the window sill as he finished adjusting the lights. He took a picture. He said... "okay, you're done," clearly joking. Then he showed me the camera. Wow... it was stunning, and on the first try. It usually takes me a few minutes to get comfortable with a photographer but Ryuji was just great. He takes photos with the intention of bringing out the subjects personality, not his own. I have had some bad experiences with photographers in the area where the pictures look nothing like me, because the photographer is trying to show themselves in the picture, and not me. Ryuji is completely different, he puts on some music of your taste and makes really insightful suggestions about a pose or hair or makeup and you end up with a fantastic set of photos. His studio is also great for backgrounds because there are a lot of fantastic doors and walls and colors and window views. My experience with Ryuji was fantastic and I would recommend him for any occasion. His photos really speak for themselves, though.

My wedding pictures were simply gorgeous. He picked just the right setting for black and white pictures whereas colors vibrant on others. I wanted photojournalistic pictures and that is what he delivered! I am very happy with some of the unplanned "capture-the-moment" pictures that turned out to be really good. The photographer was very detail oriented and accommodating. Overall, I cannot be happier with the photographer

Ryuji is great to work with; he is incredibly professional and knowledgeable in the field of photography. I always got my photos back in a timely fashion and was never disappointed. I've worked with Ryuji about 3 times in the past and would gladly work with him in the future!

Ryuji took us in at very short notice for our daughter's first photo shoot. My daughter was very nervous in the beginning, but thanks to Ryuji's excellent communication skill, she became very comfortable of being taken pictures!
We recommend him for any photo shoots. And as a real estate consultant, I will certainly ask him to take great pictures of my clients property to get prepared for the listing!
