Offering New Orleans / NOLA dog daycare and boarding. We separate the dogs into our indoor / outdoor play yards based on their size, temperament and play style where they socialize and play with other dogs all day long. We keep a high staff to dog ration and our camp counselors are certified in dog behavior and pet first aid. Boarding dogs participate in our dog daycare program at no additional charge and are only in their spacious cabins for meals and bedtime. Watch your dog play on our camper cams. Stop by anytime for a tour, we’re sure you’ll love what you see!

Reviews for Camp Bow Wow New Orleans Dog Daycare and Overnight Boarding

Ratings_icons From the horses mouth- the owner of Camp Bow Wow

Diane C.

I own Camp Bow Wow New Orleans & am shocked at some of the things I've read. For instance- the cabins we have that are from a spacious 4ftx4ft to 5ftx10ft area are only used if the dogs are eating or sleeping or in a 10 minute "time out"- never in the middle of the day for extended times- we are an all day play camp! As for rude treatment- I would love to know who it was- I have hired some of the friendlest front desk attendants & get lots of compliments-please advise of anyone being rude...Our ratio of campers to counselors is 15 to 1 so they get lots of love and attention and are able to run in and out at leisure- rarely do they pee or poop inside and when they do- there's a mop bucket within arm's reach. If anyone is unhappy or concerned or have something they'd like to discuss- PLEASE feel free to contact me at 504-891-DOGS or neworleans@campbowwow.com We love dogs- are reasonably priced, have a clean, safe environment and would love your honest feedback! As a new business in New Orleans, it's important to have open communication with clients- I always invite comments, constructive criticisms and of course compliments- please don't hide behind words- come talk- no business is perfect- I'm open to listen!

Ratings_icons Not Impressed

My first impression of this place was negative because of the rude treatment I received over the phone. Instead of me asking all of the questions, they appeared to be interviewing me. The more questions I asked about them, the more questions they asked about me. I was even asked, "who do you work for?" which I felt was very inappropriate. I felt all of my questions were warranted yet they treated me as if I was some secret spy or something. However, I set my appointment and went to tour the space. The other reviews about the place being large, clean, and pleasing to the eye are true. The place looks nice, didn't have too much of an odor and had plenty of space. Some of the suites for the dogs were even decorated with different themes. Yes, they are trying to appeal to the upscale masses. However, my dog doesn't care about themed suites, or expensive decor, or any of those things. All she wants is attention and to be loved and rubbed. I didn't feel that type of environment there. If you have enough money to spend on the suites, they might be worthwhile, otherwise your dog will be hoarded into small rooms with a bunch of other dogs or spend their day in a crate. My poor dog was soo happy to leave there, and clearly didn't like it. And at the end of the day, that's what matters.

Ratings_icons Great Place for Dogs to Play

Emma D.

Not sure why others had negative experiences, but I love this place. My dog goes there a few times a week to play and is always happy and relaxed when I pick her up. The staff is caring and attentive - they always let me know what dogs she played with, what she did etc. I would - and have - recommended this place to anyone who has a dog they care about.

Ratings_icons MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Tim M.

I utilized Camp Bow Wow New Orleans for daycare recently on a trip to the city. I travel the country with my dog, and camp Bow Wow was an exceptional facility. My dog Truman, who is very active , was thrilled with the place as well. I found the people who worked there to be caring and attentive. I have used other daycare facilities in New Orleans on previous trips, and my experience was less than satisfactory. I am very happy that New Orleans now has a nice, clean space with plenty of outdoor and indoor play areas for my dog to visit when we return to the city. I am very picky about the type of facility I will leave my dog in and could not recommend this place more highly. There truly is not a nicer or more well equipped facility in New Orleans.

Ratings_icons Wouldn't recommend this place

Janice D.

I didn't want to give this place any start, but I gave one because of it's physical appearance. It at least deserves to be said that the place looks nice. However, everything else is unsatisfactory. This place is all frills. They advertise a big camp like facility for your dog with warm and loving staff, but that is not what you get. The staff is rude, and inconsiderate...a little too pretencious for my taste. For daycare my dog basically sat in a huge room full of crates the entire time. I did not once see him on the camera. When I picked him up, he reeked to high heavens as if he had been sitting in his poop or pee. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, and am probably going to stick with the more smaller and intimate facilities. This seems to be another petsmart with a different name.

Ratings_icons Very Happy Pooch

My dog goes almost every day for daycare. He has a great time and is happier than he would be if he were left alone all day at home. The staff is caring.

Ratings_icons Not A Happy Camper

Ilene D.

Not a happy camper because of their lack of breed knowledge. I am thoroughly disgusted with the care they gave my dogs. They did not bother to dry one of my Great Pryenees. It's unbelievable they would send a wet, thick coat dog out of their building still wet.
