I truly look forward to my scheduled appointments at Restoration Salon. When entering this posh, welcoming salon you are immediately taken care of. I truly enjoy my experience each time.
I adore my hair stylist Niccii. I can always trust her recommendations and have yet to be let down.
I am also impressed with the continuing education classes that the stylists participates in.
If you are looking for a salon this is a must!

I've been going to Dave Fonseca for over 3 years and don't trust anyone else with my hair. He knows exactly what to do with my hair, what colors work and what don't, based on my mood and what's happening in my life- the hair reflects it! I've always felt gorgeous after a few hours in his chair. The salon is chic but unpretentious and the owner Tim Weber has a very friendly staff. I'd recommend anyone that isn't sure what they want, but is willing to trust a genius, to go see Dave!

Pros: Dave is a genius with cuts and color!

Cons: schedule in advance because he fills up!

I started going to Restoration as a graduate student, then as a newlywed, new mom, and now a suburban housewife (ack!). The truth is that I tried a couple of salons in the Western suburbs and after a couple of months came back to my senses and realized that the drive in to see Tim Weber is well worth the hassle of commuting. Tim is the ONLY stylist that can cut my straight, thick hair to perfection. I enjoy his enthusiasm for his work and his attention to detail. I would recommend his salon(s)--and have--to anyone west of the City looking for a stylist who reliably cuts hair, to your specifications as well as with contemporary finesse.

The best salon in town! I always knew that my hair stylist Charles May was good and that was why i went to him for the past 8 years. But just recently, I decided that he is great. He is incredibly talented-like Edward Scissorhands, easy going, reasonable, very professional, listens to what you want and is absolutley the best hair stylist anywhere. I realized this after having lived in New York for the past 4 years. In New York, i tried every upscale salon and paid up to $300 for very average haircuts, blow-outs and hair color. Now, i am back in Chicago and Charles colored and highlighted my hair yesterday. I have gotten so many compliments in just 24 hours. My hair looks so natural and i love it. If you are new in town or looking for a change definitely contact Charles May.....he is great!

Tim Weber and his team know how to have fun, provide great service, and offer a full complement of hair treatments at affordable prices.

While waiting for your appointment, you will be offered a glass of wine and/or light snacks.

Clients drive from all over the Chicagoland area and his newest location in Andersonville is a respite away from any hectic day.

I come to either location from Oak Park because it is worth the drive for the experience. I urge you to try Restoration Salon!

After moving from the UK and having a great hairdresser that I was super happy with, I first went to another hairdresser in Lakeview for the first 1.5 years and came out with a variety of haircuts which were not really that flattering looking back at past photos - but looked nice when I was there but I could never recreate once home.

On the lookout for a new hairdresser, my colleague whose new hairstyle I complimented told me about Dave Fonseca. The first time I went to get my hair cut, I came out with a great new cut that I was so happy with and was really flattering. Even better was that I was able to recreate it at home to look virtually the same. I cant tell you what a difference it makes to find someone who has great cutting technique, will recommend what styles work for your hair and does a great color that looks natural and compliments your type of hair and the sort of person you are. He is great to chat to and I cant recommend him highly enough. Restoration Salon is lovely and the staff are always fun and friendly.

I've recommended him to a few friends who have started becoming regulars too.

Pros: Evening appointments. Great atmosphere in the salon and it is a couple of streets from the Brown Line Armitage stop

Cons: No parking issues as I walk there!

DAVE FONSECA is one of the best colorist I have ever seen. He does a phenomenal job at finding what is the best look for you, and makes it look very natural. His cuts are great, and he is a pleasure to be around. I would recommend anyone going to see him, as you will not be disappointed. Restoration Salon has a great ambience...everyone is extremely nice, and the prices are reasonable. Go see Dave...you will not be sorry!

I LOVE restoration salon. I have been going there ever since I got my hair colored by LISA RAICH. She is an amazing colorist and is very knowledgeable. She always makes my hair look great and is also very entertaining-which is a major plus. Even if you don't color your hair, I reccommend booking an appointment with Lisa. She's wonderful.

Restoration is by far the best salon I have ever been too. I have been going to Tim Weber at Restoration for 2 years now, and Tim always listens and tells me realistically what will and won't look best when trying a new cut or color and does an excellent job. The rest of the staff is excellent too, and I am happy there will now be a choice between the Lincoln Park and Andersonville locations since I live in between both salon's. I recommend Restoration to everyone I know looking for a great salon.

Loved the salon, started going there because I followed Dave Fonseca. He is amazing. I have naturally curly hair and he is the first person I've ever had cut my hair who made it look incredible and showed me how versatile it can be! He understands curl patterns and is also realistic. He will tell me if the cut I want is going to be high maintenance or something I would actually keep up. He's also great at showing you techniques as he is doing them so you don't get home and can't style without him! I have been frustrated and kept it simple for years because no one could do anything with my hair. Dave, as well as the salon overall, is very relaxing, not judging, like some salons, where you feel like you need to be a super hip model to step in the door. I HIGHLY recommend!!!!

I've been going to Restoration for a couple of years now, and love every single aspect of this salon. Tim, the owner and a stylist is amazing at what he can do for me each month, the rest of his staff is extremely friendly and conversational. The Customer service, and overall atmosphere is very "homey",

I live a little further north, and was just delighted to hear they are opening a 2nd location in Andersonville! It's not open yet but Im sure this will be equally inviting, and I'll have more great visits to come.

Restoration is by far the only place I would ever go in Chicago.

I was referred to Lisa at this salon by some friends of mine when my previous colorist/stylist moved back to NYC. I have been getting my hair highlighted and colored for the past 7 or 8 years and I would say she is one of, if not the best colorist I have been to. Not only is she personable and likeable off the bat. I didn't feel like she was pushy or tried to force what she wanted on me. She listened to exactly what I wanted and gave it to me. I get blonde highlights (I have naturally light brown/dirty blonde hair) but have a lot of red undertones to my hair. I tell everyone that has ever touched my hair this fact, yet almost every colorist has ignored this, so the end result is a more orange/red than honey blonde (which is what I ask for). The last colorist I went to (the first after my colorist moved away) completely gave me the wrong kind of blonde. He put way too much "bleach" blonde in my hair, and not the golden/honey subtle blonde that I was going for, and quickly it became brassy. ICK. So, not only did Lisa give me the exact color that I was looking for, she corrected the previous color perfectly. If you are looking for a colorist Lisa is absolutely the person to go to!
I have been to the best and most expensive salons in the city and I can only think of one colorist to rival Lisa, but he charged 250$ for a full highlight where as this salon only charged me 110$. Which is a steal! I cannot think of a better value or result. While the salon might not aesthetically be the most serene spa trip I have ever taken, it hardly is shabby. It is a quaint and cute Lincoln Park salon with extremely friendly service, amazing value, and superb results!

I go to Daniela downstairs for waxing more than anything else, but I did have an occasion to get a facial from her. She's been telling me about them and her skin care for years, but I just never got a chance. Finally, I had a sudden day off and figured why not. OMG ! I've had facials before, I used to go every two months before I went back to school, and have been using various brands in my skin care routine. First of all, not only was it one of the most relaxing facials ever, there's no sales pressure, and she actually asks if you want her to talk about what she's doing or if you want to just relax (who does that??), pretty music, wonderful smells, etc. but she taught me so much about my skin! I've been breaking out on and off for years and was never told by any facialist as much as Daniela told me about products, ingredients, pores, and what about what I was using that may be causing my problems. Actually, even before I had a facial with her, she told me kind of makeup I was using that might be causeing breakouts on my jawline, without pushing me to buy her product. A lot of the breakout went away just by not using that kind of makeup anymore. She also gave me generous samples of her products so I could try them, and I saw results the first week. I expected to look bee-stung after my first facial with her, and even though she got just about everything out, I didn't leave all red and bee-stung. I also used to break out a little bit after every facial, and Daniela explained to me why that's not ncessarily normal. It didn't happen this time. I was very impressed. What I also like is that that she will actually recommend cheaper products if you're on a budget, telling you where is the best place to spend your money (like sun block and lotion) and where you can save a little until you can afford to get her stuff. Now that's integrity! I'm slowly getting more and more of her products as I run out of my cheap stuff and my skin has never looked better.

Pros: Great value with lasting results and no more ingrowns!

Cons: parking can be kind of dicey, so try to get there at least 5-10 min. sooner

Going to this salon was a very fun experience. It was my first time and I had heard mix reviews. I love the high and low-lights my stylist did! My hair-cut looks great and very stylish. The owner knew exactly what I wanted and I will be going back here again. The atmosphere is relaxed, and very hip. Overall, great experience!

I love restoration salon it's the first place that I've gone too where I don't feel uncomfortable. Most salons make you feel like your being evaluated and judged from the minute you walk in, all the stylist are friendly and fun they have a work dynamic that allows everyone to sit back, relax and truley enjoy themselves, which is more then I can say for most salons in the area. The space is super cute, lofty and very soho. I have atleast 10 friends that all go to Tim Weber, including myself even my gay friends say he's gives the best mens cuts in the city! and you all know it's good if even gay guys like it, let's be honest:)

Daniella gives the best facial in Lincoln Park, I know from experience I've been everywhere Bliss, Exhale,1800, Asha, ect...Her facials are extremely personalized she's knows her stuff inside and out she even makes some of her own products. Her services are extremly affordable for the quality of work her space is super cute and unique. I reccomend her to everyone.

Don't go here! The people are snooty and recommend bad stylists for new customers and then snicker about it behind their backs. Alexis cut my hair and it was uneven, even obvious to the untrained eye. He was also very forceful, yanking my hair and poking my head and ears with instruments. And for $45 a cut, you could do a lot better!

Restoration Salon is the most relaxing, unpretenious salon in chicago. Great stlyists that actually rent their chairs, basically they own their own salon within the salon. I always have a great experience there. well known in the neigborhood and I have seen them in Chicago Social Magazine also.

If you are going to this salon, go see Susan. She does an incredible job, and she's about the nicest person I have ever met, to supplement her skills. She was very personable, and had great ideas for a new style for my conservative look. Go to her, I guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised..
