Scissors and Sinners opened in January of 2009 and I have been frequenting it ever since. Owner/Barber, Melissa, is not only amazing at what she does, but she does it with true passion. And it shows not only through her haircuts, but the entire barbershop from decor to music to the positive energy flowing through the place. I feel welcome every time I stop by, even if there is a wait, Melissa is quick to make sure to get me anything I need. And getting to wait actually has its perks...being able to watch as she gives face shaves is well worth it because you get to experience an art form that your grandparents experienced. You can browse through vintage magazines or look at local artists work displayed on the walls. Even the counter tops have trinkets and such resin-ed in them to look at. Whether you're looking for men's or women's haircuts, color, fave shaves, etc, this is the place! When I have previously had my hair done at other salons, it takes at least 3 or more hours because my hair is so long and thick, but Lissa seems to color it perfectly and cut it just how I envisioned in way less time. And the prices are incredibly affordable and student friendly. This place is simply incredible! From the second you step in the door, you'll feel the same way!
