all i got to say is that i bought in a very old house so i had to renovate it. i had my floors removed and new floors installed(brazilian oak) and the team from woodfloorny was great. they were very fast and did a great job.\r
if you need any kind of floor installed they will get it for you even if its a rare floor they will get it. \r
take it from me they're good!!!\r

i had my floors done about 4 months ago and to this day they look amazing. Mr elie gave me a great price and explained everything that needed to be done to the floors and how to maintained them. defenately recommend them.

I would highly recommend wood floor New York.
I got there number from Google and scheduled an estimate on a Monday and although the person whom did the estimate was not the contractor that came to do my floors were done Friday that same week. I was a bit weary of two different people coming to my home, but the outcome was beautiful. I had never stained my wood floors and the day the contractor came he suggested I do Jacobean stain color and the outcome has great. I am very happy with the results and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a timely service.

There are a series of reviews for this establishment with 5 stars. Click on the name of the reviewer. You will see that they all have posted only 2 reviews - one for York and one for wood floor - both of them rated 5 stars. Does that seem suspicious to anyone?

I am quite disappointed as I had set up an appointment where a rep from this company would come to my apartment to do an estimate. I planned my time accordingly, but this am, only minutes before the scheduled appt., they called to let me know that it would not be happening today. That does not seem very responsible. I was given a time next week for a possible appt., but I'm already in the process of choosing contractors. I met with another really good fellow recently. I suppose that I am lucky that this happened... Now I have a sense of how this company does business. Btw, the fellow who let me know about the estimate cancellation was pleasant enough, but I did not get a strong sense that this was a very unusual thing.

I noticed that the website has them listed with the Better Business Bureau and I emailed them to ask them why I couldn't find them listed when I would try to look them up. They have not responded which makes me believe that the logo on their page was just copied and pasted from someone elses page because they have such terrible service. I would be very careful before proceeding. I'm not using them.

I have asked for new wood floor installation, and we got fantastic service and value for our money. Everyone that has seen the woodfloor installation work has commented on how good it looked. We would definitely recommend WoodFloor NY to other people.

OK. I bought my first apt last year and wanted to sand and stain the floors. I did my research and fount Wood floors NY and its high reviews. I called a few other places and prices were comparable. Around $2.25-$2.50/sq ft. Woodfloors came to my apt and gave me a quote and showed me some stain samples. So far so good. So I went with them based on the high reviews here. They company send a sub-contractor to my house to do the work, ie: other company!! The first appointment they didnt even show up!! My co-op only allows work mon-fridays. I called up Ben, the ""manager"" at Woodfloors to complain. They showed up that saturday and sunday. Two guys from brazil that spoke no english. After the floors were dried, I can hardly notice the stain and shine!! Sanded yes, but hardly any polish. I called up Ben to tell him and one of the Brazilian guy came to polish again. No difference a second time. On top of that, he asked me for extra $200 for the 2nd coat. I told him to get $$ from Ben. Never heard from again. I'm hestitant about other ppl's reviews and experiences with Woodfloors. They contract out the work to other sub-contractors, so its a gamble. Hope this helps.

I was prompted to call Wood Floor NY based on the sheer number of really spectacular reviews posted online. I was optimistic. What I got inspired NO confidence whatsoever.\r

Apparently, all Wood Floor showrooms have closed, but the receptionist indicated the guys coming to do the estimate would bring samples. The guys did in fact show up with samples roughly 8 tiny panels of really low-grade engineered wood that looked like plastic glued on to plywood. I was told to pick one. Asking questions was a challenge because of the two guys they sent, one was a 20-year kid who knew nothing about flooring and the other was a guy in his mid-fifties who didnt speak a word of English. None of my concerns were addressed and all my inquiries were met with blank stares. All they were prepared to do was give estimates which took over 20 minutes because not only could they not answer questions about flooring, they couldnt calculate tax or do simple arithmetic. I felt like a math teacher trying to explain when one multiplies and when one divides. While their quote for actual installation was far bellow market in the $2 and change per sq ft range, there was a never-ending list of add-ons. I ended up with a quote of almost $4500 for a 450 sq foot living room that doesnt include the $4000 worth of wood I would be solely responsible for buying and shipping to my Manhattan condo. How anybody would sign a contract and commit almost 9k to these guys who dont speak English, cant answer a single question about flooring, and will nickel and dime you at any opportunity is beyond me. \r

What business in NYC can have 20 reviews posted all giving 5 stars? Maybe a business that spent a lot of time and energy generating bland generic unanimously positive FAKE reviews aimed to dupe customers!

We were re-sanding the sealing of oak floor at our house. It was a long day (they were on site before 7 AM, and did not finish until 8 PM). I must say they worked diligently and conscientiously the entire time, barely stopping for a cup of coffee. I would be the first to say that it was an OUTSTANDING job with lots of awkward corners and confined spaces, uneven and cupped boards, but they understood that a good job was more important to me than a quick or cheap job and took the time and trouble to get it right. Their attention to detail and cheerful spirit were much appreciated and I want you to know that I am delighted with the results achieved. I shall have no hesitation in recommending you to others. I had high hopes when I contacted this place, since they had so many five-star reviews on Citysearch.

However, they sent two men to measure our floor, and they gave me an estimate based on measurements that seemed wrong. I called and asked them to have someone call me and they didn't call back. Then I measured myself, and found one area was 246.5 sq ft when they said it was 420 sq. ft, and another area was 28 sq. ft when they said 60 sq. ft. I don't know if they were intentionally inflating the measurements or whether their workers lacked skill in doing measurements and calculations.

I called and asked to speak to an owner, and told them the story. He promised to send someone to re-measure today between 11 and 1, and said he'd call if they were delayed for any reason. It is now 3 p.m, and they have not come or called.

I'm moving on to another company. I suggest that if you do business with them, you double-check the measurements.

My floors are totally awesome! I was so ready to just cover them up but I called Woodfllor NY to get me an estimate. They came over and told me what the price would be. I was so surprised. I figured for that amount, I had nothing to lose. He started right away and finished in no time. My floors look like new they are so beautiful and now so easy to care for! If I did not see this for myself I would have not believed it! Thanks so much for everything!
