I've been going to Heather for 7yrs. Her tecnique, style, and sometimes outragious hair designs, although odd looking to me, has her clients walking out with smiles and feeling like a different woman ready for the days challenges and the nights passions.

Also impressed with her attendance at updating style classes from S.F. to London which gives her clients the edge on current and upcoming fashions.

I've recommended her to all my friends and even strangers with a bad hair day, knowing that when they leave her chair they will be feeling good about the way their hair looks.

I loved my hair and colour. Ive been coming to Heather for seven years. I am a lady in my 60's and my haircutt is modern.She seems to know what is right for me and I do trust her judgement.
She is professional and I have confidence in her haircutting abilities. I would recommend this hairstylist to anyone,especially the mature women.

I found Heather Mell on the Arimosa website which is actually called A Damsel in Distress Hair by Heather. She is now working at Allure Salon and Spa. The location is nice but kinda hard to find. It is in a court yard in the back of the building. The address is 2115 J suite 201 street in the downtown area. She was very professional with her consultation. I am an older woman in my 60's, for my age I felt that the salon was very stylish and the customer service was great. Heather She gave me a short shag haircut, which is so much easier for me to manage in the morning. The color is what I loved, she is very creative with color. She put in blonde highlights with a chocolate brown base color and a cranberry lowlight. I just love how my hair look so rich in color and it lookes so SASSY!!. Thankyou Heather for my new look! I met Kasey a few months ago through MySpace. She rents a chair at Arimosa Salon and Spa in downtown Sacramento. She is an artist! I provided her with an idea of what I wanted and she exceeded my expectations and gave me a whole new look. She did an A-line cut, dyed my hair dark brown then put some blonde chunks underneath so they would peak through the brown. Even though I consider myself to be conservative this cut gave me a little sass and a bounce in my step. I would recommend her and this salon to anyone!

Sorry but i was not happy. The haircut was cute (i'll admit) but the bottom of my hair was not even, i ended up doing it myself that week. Not once have i ever had a problem with someone cutting my hair, but when i went there i did.

I had been using the same hair stylist for 2 years and decided to try someplace new, i found the great reviews online for Arimosa's and decided to book a hair appointment. Brooke is the BEST hair stylist i've ever had, she knew exactly what i wanted and took it to the next level- everyone LOVES my hair! I absolutely recommend going here, great customer service, very friendly, and great results!

Tina Roma is the best hair stylist I have found since moving to Sacramento. I have tried 4 different stylists and have not been satisfied until finding Tina. I have also had more compliments on my hair than ever before and strongly recommend giving Tina a try. She also entertains me during my 3 hour appointment - a big plus when you are a captive audience!

I just wanted a new place to try and heard of this place from a girlfriend. It is such a refreshing place and it is clean and very nice. I got a cut and highlights from Brook and it is the best service I have ever recieved. I am going back everytime.

I love this quaint and peaceful salon. The hairdressers are amazing and the owner, Karen, is lovely. The services are reasonably priced and the products they use are great. I only wish they took more credit cards (Visa only).

I LOVE my haircuts.!!! Every time I get my hair cut with Tina Romo, I LOVE IT!!! I have been seeing her for 3 years now, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I always get so many compliments all the time, but most importantly, I love my hair! I never thought I could be so excited about getting my hair cut and colored, but Tina makes it easy and FUN!! I just went in to get a short choppy cut and it looks amazing! I was really scared about getting all my hair cut off, but I know I can trust Tina to make my hair look flattering to my face and stylish! Love her! She's the BEST!!!

I go to Tina Romo at Arimosa and I won't go any where else. She makes me look amazing I can't believe how many compliments I have gotten since getting my hair colored with Tina. The cut was wonderful, too. The salon is very cool, kind of hard to find at first.

I love this place and book appointments regularly. I have extremely thick hair and have always had problems managing it. But, that was before I started having Heather Anderson style it. Heather cuts and colors it regularly. Heather has a real nack for cutting your hair so it is easy to manage and always looks styled. Plus, she is one of the best stylists I've been to when it comes to color. I always receive many compliments from friends and coworkers on how nice my hair looks. I've also had facials and massages at the spa and been very impressed with the quality of service and attention I've received. If you want a treat, I highly recommend scheduling a facial or massage and then scheduling an appointment with Heather to have your hair done.

I would like to recommend Ashley Rembulat as a stylist at Arimosa. She is an excellent stylist, very good with hair cuts, color and styling. She is very nice and has very good ideas about what to do with your hair if you want a makeover. I highly reccomend her as a stylist. The shop Arimosa is very nice, clean and stylish, highly recoomended.

I went to arimosa for the first time to get my hair done and I cant say enough good things about it. I had Tina Romo and told her I wanted something "different." a few hours later she had given me a stylish, chic, and classy new hairdo with beautiful subtle highlights, just like i like. i couldnt have asked for a more perfect hairdo for me. on top of that she makes the experience so pleasurable with her sweet, easy to talk to personality, great head massages, and overall pleasing ambience. i cant wait to go back!

I would highly recommend this salon! Everyone there is very friendly and professional.
The atmosphere in this salon is beautiful and relaxing. It is especially nice that pedicures, manicures, massages and facials are offered in very inimate and quiet surroundings. Although it is situated in the heart of downtown, it offers an escape into a relaxing and regenerating environment.

The hairstyling stations are situated in such a way that allows for privacy and relaxation (the glass of wine helps)!

From the moment I walked into the door, until I leftI thoroughly enjoyed my experience! It has been 2 weeks since my appointment and I am still getting compliments on my hair!

Tina Romo is great! She created a new style that is really fun and suits me perfectly!

I give this salon a 10!

Beverly Neeland knows how to cut and style naturally curly hair. Having had many bad hair cuts over the years where the stylist cut it too short or too choppy or just plain didn't know what to do with my naturally curly hair, I found Beverly. She listens to what I want and cuts my hair for my ego, not hers! I get so many compliments on my hair and people say I look younger. She also colors my hair and I have never been disappointed. The salon is very comfortable and friendly and I feel pampered there.

Pros: always on time, comfortable atmosphere. Near 10 hour parking!

I?ve been to the absolute best stylists in Sac -- and a few in S.F. Heather is definitely a top tier stylist. Her cuts and colorings have been nothing short of flawless . . . EVERY TIME, and you will be shocked at how long you can go between cuts. Heather is an ?11? on a ?10-scale?, period: Crazy-Talented, Totally Professional (and lovely too). If she?s booked, all I can say is that she IS worth the wait.

So what can be said in addition to what has already been written by numerous Citysearch goer's? Only this...if you are looking for a truly SKILLED hairstylist with phenomenal training who pays attention to every detail of your haircut, then you must go see Heather Anderson! I have never sat in front of a stylist who actually paid more attention to my cut and color than the normal idle chit chat of the average hairdresser. Heather gave me the most flawless cut I have ever had! It's been 6 weeks and I would normally be dying for my cut appointment to roll around, cringing everytime I look in the mirror, but the funny thing is I am actually still having people compliment me and ask me if I just had my hair done! It's craziness! I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, I gave her liberties with slight guidelines and voila! So I can only reiterate myself and others when saying that you will not be disappointed if you see Heather Anderson. And I can guarantee that once you do you won't ever want to go elsewhere!

Tina Romo provides exactly what I need- a stylist that is creative and can create magic out of just a few likes and dislikes I have about my hair. She did an amazing job on my cut and I have fun color. I can't wait to see what she does next time! I live in San Francisco and I drive all the way to Sacramento's Arimosa to get my hair done by Tina. Tina has been coloring and cutting my hair for a while now and she's the only one I will go to. I trust her with her style and creativity and she makes me feel confident. I feel 110% satisfaction when leaving. This is the first time I've gone to Arimosa Salon and I'll definitely be back again! From the moment I walked in the door I was treated with top-notch service. The salon is so relaxing and mellow and everyone is so friendly. I made an appointment with Tina and she was so attentive to what I wanted. She actually listened and showed me how to blowdry and style my hair different ways. It's amazing how many compliments I got after I left the salon! People at work were telling me how great I look and my boyfriend can't stop looking at me. I can't thank you enough!

I visited Heather Anderson at Arimosa off the referral of a friend that's been going to Heather for a long time. I just moved to Sacramento and have tried a few different places, but just haven't found someone I liked. Heather was fantastic! I'm on the conservative side but I want a cut and color that looks current and modern with just a little funk to it. She sure delivered! My cut is edgy without looking cheesy or over the top, and my color is superb! I gave her slight direction, she gave me a little feedback, we comprimised and she gave me the best haircut and color I have ever had!!! You truly must try her!

I'm a guy to whom the idea of getting a skin care treatment is totally alien. But Marilyn at Arimosa Salon said to me: "Guys have skin too, deal with it." I think she was channeling my wife. At any rate, I had Marilyn do a facial skin treatment and was VERY impressed with her knowledge, skill and professionalism. I learned that she is board certified by the state to work with skin. She taught me about MY skin, did a very thorough cleaning in several different ways and gave me great advice on how to best take care of my skin. When I got home my wife told me my skin looked "fresher" and it certainly felt different. I'll definitely go back and highly recommend her for men (and women).

She asked lots of questions about how I wanted to be perceived by my customers and, based on that information, designed a great, professional hairstyle that fits great with my business and lifestyle. Had the best massage today from Marilyn. I've had massages where my skin has been practically torn away, but she makes sure she's got the right touch. I asked for "medium" and it was just right.

I recently moved to the Sacramento area and was terrified of letting anyone touch my hair. I have thick unruly locks, and I like to do wild and crazy things to them often. I found Arimosa on this site, and based on other reviews decided to try it, figuring it's just hair it can grow back if something gows awry. Boy was I thinking too much. This salon is fantastic. From its funky location to the friendly staff I was beyond impressed. I am usually fickle with who I let touch my hair, but Beverly does a phenomenal job, and I feel like a million bucks now that I had her do my hair. I would definitely reccomend this salon to anyone looking for a friendly enviornment and capable professionals.

Heather Anderson is amazing! I have thick, wavy hair that she transforms into exactly what I want every time, and if I'm too busy to come in for a while it's no problem cause her cuts grow out beautifully! The salon is very inviting and comfortable and they use great products.

Arimosa is everything you want in a salon without all the pretentious pushy sales people. Everyone is friendly and beyond skilled at their position... waxing is painless...color is superb... and the hairstyles are not cookie cutter. about Arimosa Salon. My stylist is Heather Anderson and she does phenomenal work. I have an incredibly short boy cut that she manages to keep feminine and it grows out really well. Karen the receptionist is always friendly, remembers customers, and offers you iced tea while you wait for your appointment.
The atmosphere is great, the music lowkey, and everyone is really friendly, each of the 5 times I've been there. I couldn't recommend this place more.

This beautiful and welcoming salon is located in the heart of midtown close to other great shopping and restaurants. When you walk in you are always greated with a great big smile and a cup of coffee or iced tea from Karen Robinson, the owner. From their hand and foot therapist to their massage therapist to their esthetitian to their hair stylist every employee at arimosa is top notch at their craft and just a pleasure to be around. The over all feel of the salon is so inviting and friendly you'll never have to go looking for a new salohn again. I have searched far and wide for a great salon that has all the amenities I need and its safe to say that Arimosa Salon will be my place of choice forever. Love you guys!!!!

I just moved back to Sacramento and went to Arimosa on a friend's recommendation. I was not only pleased with the ambience, cleanliness, and services available, I was overjoyed at Beverly's work on my hair! The color is perfect and the cut is marvelous!!!
Additionally, Tiffany is awesome with eyebrow waxing and a staff member fed my parking meter during my appointment!
I have definitely found my stylist and salon!

Arimosa remains my favorite salon in the Sacramento area for many reasons. Service is always impeccable, it's incredibly clean, modern and upscale, offers facials, massage, hair and nails, and most of all-my appointments are always on time. If you're looking for highlights, ask for Heather. She always does a perfect job and she is insanely fast. If you don't like to wait around and sit in a chair for hours on end, but you don't want to compromise quality service, this salon is definitely the way to go. Highly recommended!

I took my wife to this Salon recently and they did an excellent job on her hair. The staff was very friendly and seems to know what they are doing since they specialize in hair care. However, it did seem to cost a lot just for her to get her hair done. Overall it seems worth the money for their quality work.
