5 Stars: Go with the experts !! wine country tours (by Martin D.)

A month ago, my wife and I decided to Celebrate our third anniversary in San Francisco. We were looking for a good wine tour in the sunny side of California wine country, away from the cold Milwaukee (Wisconsin) We read some wine tours reviews and we decided to go with Wine Country Private Tours com. You never know what you get but we were so lucky that we booked our San Francisco wine country tour with you ! We got all the wine tasting fees waived for our anniversary and a bottle of wine for free! In addition, we were offered 3 extra hours for no extra charge! We never expected that much on our first trip to California!
The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and above all hilarious! We loved visiting both big and small wineries. We preferred the small wineries in Sonoma Valley for the service and the wines. Some wineries have what they call later harvest wines! That was delicious! My wife loved tasting the Zinfandel port pairing with chocolate. That was good too!

5 Stars: combine Wine Country and a visit to Muir Woods Park (by marion t.)

We are a group of friends from Vermont, we booked a private SUV tour to Muir Woods and California wine country tour that took us to Sonoma & Napa. We had a blast!
It was the first week of May 09, The weather conditions were just perfect. We first had a photo stop at the Golden Gate Bridge and then drove to Muir Woods redwoods park via Sausalito. The sequoias in redwood park are impressive and very tall. We could not picture one redwood tree without laying on the ground to fit it in one shot! ! We hiked through the redwoods for about an hour! It was foggy when we got there .But it was fresh peaceful!
I personally loved the ocean view hiking trail. It took us time to get back to Muir Woods main entrance but that was a great hike though the redwoods. There was ranger who explained a number of facts about the redwoods and the difference between redwoods and sequoias ,located in the sierra Nevada.
After our hike in muir woods , the tour guide drove us from Muir Woods to Sonoma Valley wineries. We loved the small wineries we visited where got complementary wine tasting! Some wines were ok but others were really delicious! We learned to pairing wine & food! You know what! It changes the taste of food when you choose the right wine!!

We have to say that we enjoyed both Napa and Sonoma. However, we found out that Napa wineries are more commercial. We prefer Sonoma wineries for the service and the wine. Maybe because we had only one day tour to the wine countrywe still need to see the other wine growing regions in Napa Valley. I hope will make it back next year to Napa Valley.
I hope this tour review helps others in search of good tours to Muir Woods and to the country.
