Cecconi's

Cecconi's the newest trendy restaurant to open on Melrose Avenue & Robertson Blvd, the site of the former (and famous) Morton's Restaurant in West Hollywood. It's stylish & sophisticated while still being relaxed and inviting.

The original Cecconi's opened in London in 1978 and has been a popular place for spectacular Venetian food ever since. The West Hollywood Cecconi's is "a classic Italian restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as cicchetti (Italian tapas)". The restaurant has a main dining room, a terrace, great bar area and also features a the "Butterfly Room", a private dining room which accommodates parties of up to36 people.

There are three distinct Menus for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and they also offer delicious crispy pizzas. My favorite dishes include the Veal Ossobuco, Eggplant parmigiana and their mixed fish platter. Desserts are outstanding and I loved the Blood Orange cake with caramel and yogurt as well as their Toffee & chocolate coppa. There's a great selection of Italian wines and all are reasonably priced.

I highly recommend Cecconi's which has now become one of my favorite local restaurants.
